I stopped by here while visiting Atlanta, and this area was very pretty. It has a nice view of the pond and I loved seeing the geese even in the late winter almost spring time. Definitely worth walking around the rest of the park as well.

Beautiful place right alongside the centerpiece Lake of Piedmont Park it's right next to one of the most prominent buildings in Piedmont Park and has nice stadium-style seating around the base next to the dock it's a great place for a date and it's usually shaded throughout the day

This spot near the lake is best on hot summer afternoons, when the sun will fall behind the brick pavilion and create a shady spot to sit while enjoying the view. Be aware the dock itself often plays host to weddings, photo shoots, and other events. Even so, after a long walk in the park, this is one of our favorite places to pause.
