They have drained the lake and so that is no longer available to enjoy for now. Along with the trails being closed. The tennis courts are newly renovated but the basketball courts are currently unavailable with slow progress to be renovated completely. Otherwise, Love this neighborhood park. It’s close to our home and is usually quiet and clean. We don’t have small children but the playground there doesn’t look too shabby. Meh. Inner child me says β€œCould be better.” Holding community visitors accountable for cleaning up after themselves is imperative though. It’s been times it’s been trashed out there sadly when we come out there to work out or walk and that is disappointing. As a Black woman, community space is important to me and my family and I’m always encouraging those I see to keep the space clean regardless of attitude or political views. If you visit the space, honor the space. Nature has its own place for us to respect aside from other calamity of government or laws or other nuances that seem unfair and oppressive.

I like the park a lot. There are a lot of hidden trails and mushrooms. The thrail around the lake is sometimes a little flooded after it rains and it's very windy. There are often many suspicious cars in the parking lot on weekdays, if those cars weren't lurking I'd like it much better.

Great park. Hidden treasure of the east side. Tennis courts need much work, would love for lights as well.

Lovely walk, gentle inclines. Limited access to waterside. Free, abundant parking. Quality playground. Broken water fountain. A hidden Atlanta gem.

Very beautiful park! Nice playground. Trails! Doesn't seem like something that would be nestled between a couple of apartments off bouldercrest. But i am impressed!

This is a great park! I have walked there with my dog nearly every day for the last 3 years and have never felt unsafe. There are almost always kids playing basketball and families on the playground. All the people I have met have been really nice. The local residents do a lot to keep it well maintained. One man comes nearly everyday to pick up trash and another lady is making the place look even nicer by painting some of the picnic area beams. Definitely a hidden gem. The lake water, however, is disgusting so try to avoid fishing, swimming, or letting your dog go into the water.

Visited Glen Emerald Park today and the new upgrades look great! The playground and ballcourts were filled with kids and young adults playing, so I didn't take any pics of those areas. But everyone was enjoying themselves and the amenities. Lots of really nice new trails throughout, but unfortunately, they are made of some kind of crushed slate (maybe) and the recent rains have created some significant gullies and puddles. There might need to be some kind of intervention before too much material washes away. There are new stairways in several areas down to the lake and the new dam looks well constructed. The lake was beautiful and there were lots of friendly folks around. Overall it was a lovely experience. We also jumped over to the Glen Emerald Rock Garden. There is an unmarked cut through on the southeast corner of the lake, so don't miss it. The Rock Garden has a super cool vibe, with all this old stone work, plus a funky swimming pool that has become a natural pond. Great spot to hang out and enjoy a bit of shade.

The trail around the lake is really pretty and nice, but the facility is a little ran down. The neighborhood is slightly ghetto too.

As of March 2022, the pond has been drained and is off limits to non-construction personnel while the subdivision behind the park is being developed.

This park is a hidden gem in Atlanta. Went there for the first time a few days ago. There is a nice pavilion with a grill enveloped in a canopy of trees. At the bottom of a hill is a lake (?) For fishing and many walking trails. The air was so clean.

The lake is not accessible, the park was dirty and basketball courts torn down.It lookes like it might be under construction based on the danger and caution tape I saw off from a distance.

Tennis + basketball courts are totally redone and top-notch. My partner and I go out about once a week to play pickleball and/or basketball. It’s not usually crowded which we really enjoy. We are excited for the lake and pavilion to be done.

Great tennis courts here (2). Restrooms, children's play equipment. April 2023 update: More playground improvements; two seldom-used tennis courts in great condition.

πŸ‘ Nice little park. Has a smaller playground for younger children and a larger one for big kids. There’s a small basketball court and field for kickball/baseball etc. It would be nice if it had a restroom!!
