I just joined the gym 2 weeks ago, haven't been to a gym since March because of COVID, thought this one was better than LA because it was more secluded. I was doing Barbell Rack Pulls on the Squat Rack, and every time I rested the barbell on the rack it made a metal clanking sound. The owner came over and asked me how long I have been working out. "Since High School", he then proceeded and forcefully slammed the barbell on the rack multiple times, and told me that I was going to damage his barbells and rack. LOL, a barbell and squat rack like I have seen that before?! those things are solid metal man... I had 135 pounds on the barbell, and it just made a normal metal clanking sound. I said "ok", then asked his name, he said it was on the plaque, not telling me his name. He then asked me "Are you comfortable with me telling you this?", I said "no.". He then proceeded to tell me to grab my stuff and leave, canceled my membership immediately.

Updating my review to 1 star - I have not been at this gym ALL YEAR because of COVID and how disgusting the gym was before (there was always hair all over the bathroom, the toilets weren't cleaned, the weights were never properly re-racked and the equipment was never cleaned) and cancelled my membership. The staff refused to waive the "annual enhancement fee" even though I have not used the gym at all. They didn't even offer any sort of explanation for it - just a flat no. I would highly recommend paying more and going elsewhere. Additionally, as a female, men often times would come up and take my weights while I was actively using them on the rack without even asking if I was done with them. I know this isn't a "management" problem, but this is the kind of clientele this gym serves.

Don’t waste your money. Hidden fees, employees who care more about getting you to sign up for their over priced training sessions than keeping the gym clean, and a manager who tries to squeeze every last drop out of your bank account. On more than one occasion I’ve had members stare at my while I lift or even try to “give me advice” by touching me in appropriately. The location is the only positive with a nice view of midtown. The group classes used to be fun but now are unsafe. The fact that it’s not even a 24 hour gym makes this place obsolete. So many gyms within a mile that will cater to you, the member. Will never let someone I know get groped by the creepy members there. Also... no freaking masks. Why risk it? Especially if you interact with elderly family members. You are putting their life into the hands of a staff that lacks any kind of customer service.

Not the worst gym. But with the hidden fees it is just not worth it. Spending this kind of money at other gyms will get you: •a more curated Experience. •better equipment that is actually cleaned properly •access to professional trainers, not amateur body builders with a hidden agenda to trick you into paying for more sessions •actually enforces Covid 19 precautions In short, not the worst, but so average you’ll scratch your head as to why the dollar amount that is deducted from your checking account seemingly DOUBLES each month.

If you had asked about my experience a year ago at Anytime Fitness Midtown I would have said “they are a great, if not small, 24 hour gym”. Today I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy. The equipment that breaks sometimes takes months to be repaired. They have a small selection of machines and only 1 dedicated bench press. Personally, for this price point, I can’t see anytime fitness midtown being any more than a huge waste of your money. The staff isn’t friendly and many members like to “reserve” 3-4 machines at one time. With a limited selection of machines to begin with, this is a massive problem. They also say that you cannot teach lessons at this gym unless you are a personal trainer. I brought my little brother in (payed the absurd $15 guest fee) and was helping him with his form. I was contacted with an email warning and was charged $150 for “breaking company policy”. Not consumer friendly to say the least. Try LA Fitness or even Orange Theory if you want a stress free, Covid-19 safe workout. These facilities will put you first and on top of that, they enforce MASKS!!!

Please please please do not give them your money. Anytime fitness pre-Covid was acceptable. But these days you do not get what you pay for. If you like a gym with hidden fees and monthly service charges then please, by all means, throw your money away. The staff are rude and in more than one instance I’ve had weights slammed within inches of my head. The staff member claimed I hadn’t racked my weights and instead of asking me politely, he threw down two 45 lb plates near my head while I was on the floor doing abs. They will charge you $50 for you key fob as well as your first months fees. And they do NOT enforce masks.

This is not a safe gym for corona virus. Dirty and nobody is wearing masks. They will also charge you $100 to leave the gym if you are not willing to risk your life and those around you. When I tried to cancel they didn’t actually cancel my account. They then decided to send a collection agency after me and demanded I pay an additional $250 for late fees. This place is not worth your time or money. Join LA fitness at Ansley Mall or even Atlantic Station for a much cleaner and customer friendly experience.

Pros: - Never busy: I never have to wait for a machine or feel like there are too many people around. - Great, friendly staff: I've only been a member for a couple of weeks, but the staff already recognize me and are so friendly every time I come in. - New machines: this gym opened in the middle of 2014, so all the equipment is the latest and new! - Good environment: I never feel intimidated or stressed out here. Everyone, both members and staff, are polite and encouraging. It's smaller than a lot of other gyms I have been to in the past, but I love the big windows overlooking Peachtree Street. - 24/7: I live nearby and love that I can come here any time of day or night! - Great trainers: I signed up to work with a trainer and he is great! I've seen some other members work with some of the other trainers on staff and they all seem to be great. I do wish they had a female trainer, though! Potential Cons: - Class schedule: they offer classes, but it isn't the most lengthy list. I would love to see more variety and some later classes (7-8pm) - Amenities: this gym has everything I'm looking for, but if you're looking for smoothie bars, saunas, pools, basketball or volleyball courts, this gym isn't for you. They have a great selection of machines and weights, though. I'm very happy with my decision to join this gym and am looking forward to being healthy in 2015!

I've been frequenting this gym for a while now. It's the best Anytime facility around. Even when they're busy there is enough space not to impede anyone's routines including plenty of restrooms and showers. Plenty of machines, free weights, rowing, cycles etc. Glad I found this place. All of the above mentioned is credited to the staff, they stay on top of things and have always been attentive and friendly.

Edited to add update: I would say the facility itself is still okay. However, dealing with staff has been the biggest headache. They have very limited hours and are extremely hard to get a hold of. The phone never gets picked up even during the hours displayed online. They even changed their email and did not let members know until weeks after the fact. I have also paid two ‘club enhancement fees’ throughout my membership here but have seen no improvements to the facility. Awesome facility! They have a lot of equipment most 24 hour facilities don’t typically have. It’s a really great value for the money. Jasmine was super helpful with getting me signed up with the best package! I’m excited to start using the facility.

The owner of this gym who had Dread locs and a horseshoe branded on his arm was the most disrespectful, aggressive, and non empathetic gentleman I have ever encountered walking into a facility. This gentleman approached me trying to fight because onus left his door open so I can get a signature on paper for one of his gym goers. After having the altercation with me he then turned to his paying customer and started to get aggressive with him after explaining what was going on. After reading the reviews on this place, it seems like a common trend. This place seemed like a great spot, but this gentlemen who is the so called owner needs to learn business etiquette and how to treat paying customers . Terrible terrible terrible way to treat people. You should be ashamed of yourself! I highly recommend you not come to this facility as it’s already on its way out of business. Btw, here is how they have the door currently which is what I did so I could meet my client, but they wanted to fight me for it. Here is a photo

Can't say I'm surprised they're going out of business. Can't treat customers like garbage and remain successful. Surprised it lasted this long tbh.

I've been a member of so many gyms over the years and have never been treated with such disrespect or disdain as at Anytime Fitness. When I signed up originally I told the girl that I travel 26 days a month & my expense account card changes every other month to avoid the miscellaneous charges and fraud, therefore she would need to contact me for an updated card in that event. Heard from no-one except a collection agent who called me to no end continuously and when I called them back to update a card it always went to voicemail. Then I tried the club direct after receiving a message & did an update to my card with the employee however an additional $20 charge was applied. I asked why on first occasion after I took the due diligence to call back several times that they would not just waive it and asked for the owner to do so. The "owner" did get back to me on voicemail and stated that the charge would stand and claimed I had insufficient funds when it actually was the card had been deactivated and the new card was activated. So after being insulted I called back and stated just cancel it - I don't need membership with a company who does not value their customer. He then called and left another message snarkily stating they would cancel my account and charge me the next month as well. So I had a long discussion with one of the employees one day and we talked about business and life and he agreed for the most part but he's in a situation where his job depends on his compliance to an overlord. So on one of my 8 Mile walks stopped in to use the restroom and ask the employee where is my favorite "clothes folder" (as in the mall) that we had discussed previously and he said "oh the owner he's right there." I said "I don't think he's the owner, he must be the manager." He got up in a huff and then I asked "why as the 'owner' would you lose a customer over $20? It is just not rational to me." He said after being flustered when he was in counseling "they told me that different people think different. So are you going to talk s*** or workout then get the Fu*# out my Club!" "If you don't leave now I'll have you physically removed" to which I stated "oh you going to do violence to me? why can't you debate me with your mind? why can't you answer a simple question? use your intellect" He said "oh I have security for that" but not wanting to escalate the situation he led me out the door and continued to berate me and said "get out my effing Club!" and I said "I'm already out, I'm out." I kept on my walk down the street and then he calls me on the phone but goes to voicemail and he does not leave msg. To my understanding of business, having had four of my own and the mindset needed to be an actual entrepreneur and owner of such, I knew he could not have been the owner and after doing some research discovered that Libby Kelly is the actual real owner who is the girlfriend of a older white doctor who bought the place for her and supposedly runs it from 2013. I don't know if Libby is aware of his disgraceful conduct toward customers which has been outlined on reviews incessantly for the six and a half years this Sadq manager has been a part of Anytime Fitness. He repels any type of good will or good customer service when usually in business you want to attract more customers by providing excellent customer experience that they will convey to other people thus improving prospects who would want what you have to offer. Sadq is a very low people skill, highly arrogant, all fake/fraud type of individual who is a nightmare employee and only works for the detriment of an organization. It is my sincere hope that the actual owner Libby will see this post and understand it's not personal and it's not about money, it's about how Principle Prevails-as I learned at the US Air Force Academy and now doing consulting for the 2 largest retailers in the country, improving the performance of employees in order to increase revenue and profit. Please consider the termination of this way out in left field, dysfunctional, inept, wannabe tyrant king.

I recommend you avoid this place like the plague. My experience is that its not staffed during office hours, they have questionable practices regarding gym cancellation. Current owner is rude and hung up on me 4 times. There are plenty of other options near by with better features and less headache. Save yourself some hassle.

Overall, the midtown Anytime Fitness seems to hit all of the notes my wife and I were looking for in a gym. The equipment seems to be well kept for the most part, and the variety satisfactory. We couldn't seem to find many kettlebells outside of a few tiny guys, so our planned routine needed some adjustment on the fly. The view is solid-a pleasant cityscape with Peachtree traffic flowing harmoniously by. The location is less than a block from our home, and it's anytime access is just what we needed. There were a lot of people there as a post work sort of hour, but it didn't manage to feel crowded. I like it, overall.

I did my research on this gym months ago and I’m so glad that I signed up! I really needed a gym that was 24 hours because I’m an early riser. I also hate crowded gymslike LA Fitness and Planet. It’s reasonably priced and all the staff members are friendly and informative. The equipment is up to date and versatile for whichever workout you need. I’m very satisfied with this gym.

I usually don’t do this however I have wasted time and gas trying to come to this location to establish a membership. I went twice during their new hours of operation and no one has been able to assist me with joining. The door is locked I rang the bell stood outside for 5 mins calling the number no response. Mind you I’ve done this twice. I went way before they closed which is supposed to be at 2 to be exact 12:23

First time ever writing a review. I went in gym thinking everything was fine just to be approached by the co-owner and made aware there was an issue with my membership. Owner gave me a number to call and found out there was a mistake made by my local gym that entered the wrong expiration date on my card. While I was making the phone call, inside the gym, the owner rudely asked me to step outside. Once phone call was over and issue was corrected I went back inside and owner said things didn't work like that here. I offered to show him a confirmation email of the payment made and he refused. He mentioned that my local gym had to call them. The co-owner was extremely rude and very unprofessional. I honestly feel like if you are not a local member you are not wanted. Or perhaps because I am Latino. Either way the experience truly sucked and hope you don't experience the same thing.

This is a great gym! I’ve been to a few gyms over the years in Atlanta and this is by far my favorite. The location is in the heart of midtown, the facilities are clean, and they have a good variety of equipment. It’s open 24/7 and is never really crowded. I highly recommend!

I am new to the world of the working out and healthy eating. This gym is great for beginners like my self due to the fact their trainers are knowledgeable on all aspect of the fitness world. This is a very sanitary and safe environment. All of the staff is very cheerful upon entering and exiting the gym. The diversity of the members range from athletes to workers to college student which makes this a comfortable environment for new and experienced members.
