I like this place and have been taking my son here for years to buy fish and supplies for his main tank. But I'll have to be far more selective on what I let him purchase there to make sure I'm not stuck with the wrong product. Their return policy is BAD. I've never needed it or even paid attention to it until this Christmas. I bought a Fluval Flex 15 as a gift for someone the week before Christmas. I discover after Christmas someone else duplicated this purchase and this unopened gift can't be returned. They don't have a normal 30 day return policy. They don't have a strict 15 day return policy. They don't even have a punishing and obscene 5 day return policy. They have a TWO DAY return policy on unopened hardware with restock fee. Go ahead and get your fish, food and plants here. They are very good for this. But if you need hardware like filters, lights and accessories, go anywhere else so you don't get stuck with something if you bought the wrong item by mistake or a gift that can't be used.

This place was amazing to go, even if you just wanted to look around for something to do. It was busy, but that's because of their great variety of fish and supplies. They have a good assortment of salt water or fish water, as well as plants and coral. The staff are knowledgeable, and helpful. They seem to staff heavily on weekends to anticipate the heavy demands, which is good. Prices on fish and supplies are competitive. Highly recommend!

Not one person greeted me or asked if they could help with anything. I was in the store for more than 30 mins. Some freshwater tanks had dead or dying fish with no signs stating if they were being treated. Was not impressed with selection of smaller freshwater fish selection. Saltwater area seems to be great though. They have a good selection of plants, tank substrates, rocks, and wood. You will find some harder to find options here but will pay an arm and a leg as their prices are high, even for commonly found items.

Had a great experience purchasing my Red Sea 425 from these guys. Jason has been a great help and wealth of knowledge even after the purchase! Also thank you to Cara which helped me when I picked up the tank. I recommend all friends and family to this store!

My favorite local fish shop. It's about 30 minutes away from Buckhead, but worth the drive everytime. Great variety of freshwater and saltwater fish. Fish are well taken care of. I love the staff as well. Also purchased my 55 gallon setup from here.

Very nice store with a huge quality selection of corals and fish. Excellent offerings of supplies and equipment. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great visit to an out of town Reef store.

AMAZING service, great selection, but oh goodness the prices (we buy for saltwater) are about 3x what we're used to. If the livestock is captive bred, worth every penny. If not... Overpriced. Really want to emphasize the PHENOMENAL service, though.

The best aquatic store I’ve ever been to! The employees are very passionate and willing to share their expertise! They also have absolutely gorgeous displays. They also have a very cute “Nemo” display.

We were like Nemo in an aquarium toys-town . So many 🐟 of all kinds to fit your fancy 🥰😁. Even 🦐🐠🐟 these guys. Plenty of water 💦 plants to choose from 🌱🌿. Abundant of kind staffs who were there to assist with many, many questions that we had. 🥰😁 Our curiosity was we'll satisfied. We also realized how unprepared to bring home any fish, so we got the beta fishes for now 😁😃

I know nothing about fish but always wanted a tank. These guys take great care in giving you the proper info and getting you to where you need to be. They actually would not let us buy any fish for two weeks until we had properly cycled our tank using their instructions. (We we’re very impatient lol.) Every time we go we learn something new. Tuesday nights are great to go as they usually receive their new fish earlier in the day.

We've used Premier Aquatics to provide monthly service to preschool aquarium for years. In an emergency tank leak, they arrived super fast like the Batmobile! They are very reliable, knowledgeable, and the kids think they're ROCK STARS! Highly recommend.

Premier has 3 things which make it a premier place to shop for freshwater and saltwater aquariums, supplies and livestock. First is a great selection of plants, fish and inverts. This is not a big box pet store. Their focus is aquariums. Second is their inventory of high-quality aquariums and supplies. Lastly, and probably most important of all, is the knowledge of the staff. They will guide you toward having a successful and satisfying experience with the aquarium hobby.

The staff here is extremely helpful! We added a new frog, a betta, a live plant and decor to our 10-gallon tank with the expertise of those who work there. Thank you for jazzing up our aquarium!

So, this place is aptly named Premier. If you're looking for the things that are going to make your tank pop, from driftwood to exotic plecos to whatever kind of plants. Oh, and they do saltwater too.

I love this place because they have a huge selection of fish but I'm curious on what their quarantine routine is before putting fish in the display tanks. Got some guppies from here and lost one due to what seemed to be wasting disease (she was already kind of skinny for a guppy) and another one now has a tiny fungal growth on top of her dorsal fin. It's only been 3 days and they have been in a quarantine tank since the day they arrived so I know they came with the illnesses. (My water parameters are also 0, 0, 5 for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH sits at 6.8) The only two that are healthy are the male endler hybrids which I noticed were in a different tank than the two females. (One female was with the danios and the other was with some other random fish). I usually refrain from buying guppies because I know they are plagued with health issues due to inbreeding but damn, it hurts to see fish degrade in healthy so quickly.

Great selection of live stock and dry stock. They also have wonderful customer service! The best out of any local fish store around here. If you need something I definitely recommend doing it here!

Premier Aquatics is a pretty good place. I get my salt water here. I used to have them service my tank. I asked if they could come once a month as every two weeks was too often and expensive. The woman is charge of service told me my small tank was not worth it for them. The store staff is hit or miss. Mostly young folks some care others don't.

Hard to find location with low visibility road and small sign set too far back. Throbbing, bass-heavy techno music being played inside an aquarium store for some reason. Left instantly due to this and will not be back. Would love for the owner to justify loud techno music in an aquarium store to the Google reviews audience-- especially where hundreds of animals are present that are undoubtedly stressed out by this. Has the common availability of amplified music equipment made people lose their common sense? Edit: Most reviews are critical in nature, so that's a worthless point. You don't select the music you play in your store and instead subscribe to a subscription service that plays throbbing techno in your aquarium store? That's honestly pretty stupid! Maybe one day the ADA will be amended regarding music in stores so decisions like this are easier for folks such as yourself. Want to see why critical reviews are the ones you should pay attention to? Turn the music off for 3 months and compare sales year over year to last year, controlling for your general percentage variance from last year of course. Then get back to me, if you can swallow that pride. Do you remember why you're playing the music? Is it because you were told that's what stores do at some point? In the 80s or 90s? I will reiterate this just so you understand-- *you cannot justify bass music being played in an environment full of animals*

This was my 3rd time doing business with Premier and let me just tell you. If you live in the east cobb area this is where you want to buy your fish. While prices may seem high they are beyond fair for what you are getting. If you wanted to order the same fish online not only would you most likely pay more but also you would have to deal with shipping costs. So trust me when I say come here for all your fish and aquatic needs!

I will say this store has a nice selection of fish and live plants. However, when I started my tank, I was strongly discouraged by this store. I was told to have live plants, I had to have CO2 tanks, fertilizer, special lighting, etc…. Which made me immediately decide it was too much and I should just stick with fake plants. I was also told not to live cycle because it’s bad for the fish. Which was also very discouraging for what I had researched and planned to do. Whereas, Optimum aquatics in Kennesaw strongly encouraged live plants and said all that stuff is beneficial, but not required for my tank to be successful. They also recommended hardy fish to start my live cycle. Because of this, i may return for the selection of fish/plants offered, but I will not ask their advice.

If I want a fish that's rare, fresh or saltwater, this is the place to be. When you walk in to here and ask someone a question they almost always have an answer, and if they're not sure, they get back quickly with one from a manager or another knowledgeable employee. The selection is amazing. They've built this place up so much in the last 10 years and have done an incredible job. It's not the cheapest place to buy but still very fair. In some cases they are the cheapest. If you live within 50 miles of this place, it's worth the trip. No, I'm not the owner nor an employee. I give credit where it's due.

Very knowledgeable and well priced for marine and freshwater fish. One of the best places in town. Staff are pretty young, so customer service isn’t the best. Overall, great experience!

I have been using them for years. If you are in to salt water fish, they have an excellent supply. There fish are healthy and the staff are well informed.

They have a wonderful fish selection here. Beautiful tank setups. I recently purchased 2 German gold rams here. Absolutely beautiful. ; unfortunately 1 passed. I chalk that up to my end. It's up to customers to do research on fish but I would encourage employees to be more informative and advise against certain purchases. Always encourage water samples.

Awesome aquatic store! The tanks are well kept and they have healthy looking fish. So many plants I have only seen online and the pricing is fair. Not to mention they all look healthy. Wide assortment of hard scape, rimless tanks, and other aquarium accessories. The person (sorry I’d isn’t get your name or pronouns) who helped me with my plants was very patient and professional as I took a while to decide what I wanted in the plant section. Overall, I recommend visiting to give them a try - they definitely have a new customer from Gwinnett.

One of the best aquarium stores I've ever seen. My wife had to restock her tank and we came here. Amazing selection. Clean tanks, great selection of fish and plants, very healthy stock! Plus if you have kids there is a lot to see!

Browsing and shopping for new fish, plants and equipment should be a fun part of this hobby, but my recent experience here left me feeling underwhelmed, and not for the first time. Simply put, with the odd exception, the staff are not welcoming or particularly helpful. It feels as if they are there for themselves rather than the customer. When the person checking me out acts as if I am invisible other than to tell me what I owe, there is a problem which either comes down to the employee themselves, inadequate customer service training or a combination of both. With other stores in the area, where I can buy what I want, and get decent customer service, they will be the ones where I spend my money. Disappointing!

They have quite the selection of fish but 3 out of the 5 times I’ve been here, the fish have had ich on different systems. They don’t quarantine them and I’ve noticed selling infected fish without hesitation. I also didn’t get acknowledged the first time I came as I was looking at less pricey fish and I think the floor people work on commission. I was rung up for an additional fish so I waited for awhile for the manager to come help and decided to just get the fish after waiting so long. I bought two lovely angel fish from them and they allowed me to return some other fish after they stressed others after passing my water test which is the reason for the 3 stars. They also have an impressive selection of plants. Plecos are some of the most diverse I’ve seen as well.

Some really cool unqiue species here! First time and I've seen an elephant ear mushroom coral in person. Some beautiful anemones and shrimps. I like the organization and barcode system with clear pricing!
