This is by far my favorite airport (ok I'm biased). Sometimes security can be backed up but what can you expect from the busiest airport in the world. In general I find this airport to be very efficient. Since it's Delta's main hub, you can get almost anywhere in the US nonstop. There are also tons of dining options while you wait. And don't forget to check out the art exhibits between concourses.

Atlanta International Airport's terminal is top-notch! From start to finish, my travel experience was smooth and enjoyable. The terminal is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate, making my journey hassle-free. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, providing assistance whenever needed. There's a wide variety of dining and shopping options that cater to different tastes and preferences, ensuring that there's something for everyone. The terminal's efficient security and check-in processes made my trip stress-free. Overall, Atlanta International Airport's terminal exceeded my expectations, and I couldn't have asked for a better travel experience. It certainly deserves a solid five-star rating!y

One of the busiest airports in the world and looks and feels such. The airport has multiple terminals and you will be amazed to see how well they are managing the airport operation. It is well connected with rest of the city. Has all the amenities good connectivity and you will find flights to different locations in the world. Delta airlines has set up its hub here. I liked the airport and its layout.

One of the busiest airports in the US. A hub of Delta airlines. Signs everywhere to get you to the right place. Plane train (yes, that’s its name) runs every minute or so between terminals so you can get to your gate pretty quickly. Do well to check the boards for flight details often - the airport is notorious for changing gates last minute.

This airport is a beast to tackle. It’s so busy with thousands of people moving that it can feel overwhelming. The subways they have below that transfer you between terminals are quick and effective. The airport is pretty old overall and could use more renovation to bring it up to standard with most other domestic airports in the US.

Great airport. It is among the busiest airport in the world, but it is well designed so it doesn’t look too crowded. The staff at the airport, from the CBP immigration staff to the baggage handlers to the disability assistance staffs, are very friendly, professional, and courteous. They have one of the best airport staffs in the United States. The airport has a lot of restaurant options, located not centrally and distributed well to its many gates, so no matter which gates you are taking off from, you are just a short walk to a restaurant or any kind of food. They have many drinking fountain to fill your bottles. The toilet is quite clean. Excellent airport, a great gateway to the United States of America.

ATL is not my favorite airport, but it really isn't that bad as far as cleanliness and amenities go. There are a lot of restaurants and snack stations, and it's pretty easy to get between terminals. Most of my complaints are simply due to it's sheer size and how busy it is, but that's really a given at the end of the day.

Atlanta is a huge and busy airport, but somehow it always runs smoothly. You just gotta move it! Allow yourself plenty of time to get through security and find your terminal. I've flown from here a few times and it gets less overwhelming each time. There's various shops and restaurants to choose from. The facility is clean. Everything seems well managed especially the ladies bathroom attendant. 😁

Place is huge and very much difficult to navigate if you are there only once or twice. Staff are kind and worthy off your tips. I had my older uncle with me who needed a wheel chair and they airport made sure he was just fine also pushed him where we needed and even offered to put some of my luggage underneath the chair then waited with us until our driver arrived.

I have been here many times and overall have enjoyed my experiences. I like how all of the concourses are connected after you pass through security. The train gets you from one place to another quickly. If you're not flying Delta, the lack of accessible lounges is fairly disappointing. Otherwise, not much to do here except to wait at your gate or eat at a restaurant while you wait for your next flight.

Beautiful ALT International Airport experience for me. Lovely place and more traffic than JFK, more bigger and more spacious as well. Lots of goodies to cash. Interesting people everywhere. One thing I really found more surprising is the fact that, I was only able to notice Delta Airline everywhere at the airport, seems this airport is dedicated to Delta flights ✈ passengers alone that could be through though. Lol 😆 🤣 😂. The weather here seems more warm and friendly than back in NY. There is a wheelchair support service here which looks like a VIP and very well designed with professional career staff, I couldn't get to receive their service but I witness how an individual passenger was supported and respected. I am not going to do a shop review for the stores around the airport, I don't feel like buying anything right now, I feel tired and needed to just connect my flight and go ahead with my trip. You can just view some of unprofessional pictures 📸 📷 which I took here to guild your trip when connecting or flying this airport.

I’m probably jinxing myself now but I’ve never encountered an issue in the ATL airport especially for how busy the airport is (busiest in the US?) - the only thing I always consider is whether I have enough time between flights to connect because sometimes you do have to take the train to another concourse which can take 5-15 minutes so make sure to give yourself at least hour or more between flights. Lots of cool architecture, art, shopping, and eats.

Very busy airport! Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to find parking, check your bags, and get through security. There are a lot of places to get something to eat and shop if you have a long layover. I’ve traveled through this airport multiple times and the employees are always unbelievably rude. I try to only fly Delta if I’m at this airport; the Delta employees there are the absolute best! They are always so friendly and helpful, especially if your flight has been cancelled.

Well, it’s the worlds busiest airport for a reason. Huge airport which spreads wide and long. The southern terminals are dedicated for Delta as they are the based out of ATL and all other flights are served at the north terminal. Weekends are extremely busy with a huge line starting from the drop-off location, so if you’re travelling on the weekend, leave some extra time for safety reasons. Washrooms are averagely clean and the airport has everything necessary. Good experience travelling through here so far!

I had a great experience during my transit to Birmingham and Springfield-Branson Airport. I loved the pictures, statues and the decorations all over the Airport. Great history lessons for those who are interested. This Airport is kinda like a museum. I enjoyed my transit times. I took lots of pictures and shared in Google maps.

The Atlanta Airport is one of the best airports in the United States. Easy to navigate, and for the most part organized. The facilities always looks updated and modern. The airport has electronic ports all over for laptops and cell phones. The parking lots can be full and difficult to find a parking space. But the the Atlanta Airport is one of the busiest Airports in the world.

The crew that works for Spirit Airlines at the check-in & ID section was so rude on our way to San Diego! I have never been treated so bad or paid $125 for one piece of luggage that weighed 51.05 pounds per their scale in my life! The flight attendants were mean & dismissive. In addition, we had to wait 2 additional hours for them to fix a "mechanical" issue on the plane while we sat there worried sick! That was the first & definitely the last time I will fly with Spirit.

Very busy but well managed airport. Give yourself some time when booking connections through Atlanta - large airport and takes a bit to get to other terminals. Haven’t had any issues flying through or out of Atlanta. If you have extra time - walk between terminals in the tunnels - they have different art/history exhibits that are pretty fun.

Very big and busy airport, and it's definitely one of the biggest airports I've ever visited. Lots of businesses within the airport, plenty of shops, and duty-free to buy souvenirs from and lots of restaurants and fast food to buy food from. Their washrooms were fairly clean, too, despite being such a busy airport.

By far the busiest airport we have been to. Yet somehow through all the crazy parking and thousands of people running to catch flights the Delta team made it all feel seamless. It was our son’s first flight and they rolled out the red carpet for his experience. They even let my wife accompany him to the gate to make sure he made his flight. It went off so well he now wants to become a pilot! This is the camaraderie, tutoring, and genuine kindness that America used to represent. Keep up the good fight Delta. I’d also like to thank Atlanta’s finest for making the whole terminal feel at ease as well. There are uniformed officers everywhere letting their presence be felt with nothing more than a smile. Hats off to you all.

7:00 pm and food services are either closed or only serving alcohol. Fast food places and the “convenient” stores have lines out the door and into the major walkway, just to check out. It’s also hot and humid inside. I guess they’re trying to save $$$ due to Covid-19. Horrible experience

Very busy airport and if you fly Delta… and use Delta Sky Lounge, there are 9 lounges in the airport plus Minute Suites w Priority Pass. It’s big and you can take shuttles from each concourse to get to another. Lots of food options with a southern twist. Live music in some areas. Some staff and various vendors and establishments can be nice while others not so nice. I didn’t like the vibe of this airport as much as some others. But at least you can find a retreat option at a Delta Lounge and I found one on Concourse B18 where they had 2 quiet rooms/pods which is great for meetings and talking without offending others.

Very good airport, staff are nice and probably the quickest i’ve seen out of any Class B airport. Also plane spotting is amazing, I think the best planespotting is runway 26R because there is tones of places to go. The location of the airport in general is decent, most of us live in metro areas and usually it’s 45-1Hr drive which with traffic it can be a bit of a hassle but that’s okay! great job staff of the busiest airport of the world :) (all photos are mine)

If it's your first time at this airport, know how big it is! Despite a fast train system inside, it will take a bit to go from one terminal to the next. We flew into the domestic terminal from DCA and flew out of the international terminal (Terminal F) for Mexico City. An hour layover was calling it close. One thing I appreciate about this airport is how pet-friendly it is. Dog relief stations are everywhere, sparing us an accident on the way to Mexico City.

Pickup/Dropoff area was swift and smooth. My only issue is that some of the employees there have such an attitude. I've been to both domestic snd international terminals at least 20 times and never in any of those times have I not met someone without an attitude. Some places were dirty as well, so I did not like that. Overall though, nice airport.

Atlanta International Airport is one of its kind. It’s huge, well connected by trams which typically looks like a New York subway and beautifully stationed in the city. It’s confusing to be inside the airport the information desks are the go-to people for all your airport vows. The Club/lounge isn’t much hygienic and the same dishes are repeated over and over again but you won’t want to give it a miss if you have a long, never-ending lay over. New Orleans International Airport is brand new and beautiful but more of a labyrinth. I travelled to both the airports, thus wanted to compare a little. Through the comparison is not justified but yes NOLA is heavens on Earth. It offers a good shopping experience for the ultra rich as well like every other airport but again, a limited choice for non-Americans. I had a two hours layover but the experience was smooth. It’s just that I had to move a lot to reach my gate on Concourse F which is the last tram station at the airport. Overall the experience was good but I found Dubai, Abhi Dhabi, Qatar and all the airports in India amazing when it comes to the mind blowing facilities they offer.

I love how easy they have made for people to get to their destination within the airport. A quick train ride takes you to the car rental area. You can easily get to Atlanta's public transportation service: Martha. Another train will take you to your gate.

Very crowded airport. We were just here for less than an hour for a layover but I thought it was a very nice airport. The bathrooms even had fancy mist air fresheners. They had plenty of places to grab something to eat but all the lines for even the littlest shops were long. This airport seemed cleaner than others.

Atlanta airport is an absolutely massive massive airport, WARNING ; give yourself plenty of time because it’s so hugh to get to the relevant gate for departure, there is an efficient tram to transport you between terminals, the security process is efficient and well organised, the waits times are tolerable. Once in the correct terminal there is an abundance of shops, eateries and stores, hence my warning to allow yourself to immerse in the airport shopper experience plus there is a vast choice in eateries and drinkeriers. There is adequate comfortable seating. This airport sets the standards for airports and treats the travelling person how they should be treated, kudos

Well what can say I say. I was raised in ATL and have seen this airport grow tremendously. Yes, it has its down sides. It is WAY TOO PACKED and the traffic getting there is horrible. But after traveling the world and also being familiar with all of the terminals, I feel like it is easy to get around. Not many know that you do not have to wait and get squished on a bus. There is a walking option with those moving sidewalks and a little history to look at along the way. As you walk through each terminal, it has been set up as a museum. One of the rooms has paintings, one has sculptures and one has a fun light show. There are not the best food options for vegetarians so I pack my own snacks. The airport just added a new feature for TSA curbside baggage drop off. They also added a digitial ID passport to your flights. I am not sure how this helps because I still had to scan my ID but I needed it in order to drop my bags off here. There was NO LINE compared to the other one which had SO MANY PEOPLE. I got lucky with this new system that I stumbled upon by accident. I appreciate that this is a hub for so many different flights both domestic and international.

I love this Airport. Never had a bad experience here. I have been flying with Delta for many years now and it's always nice to go through here. I think it's easy to get around. You can easily find your next Flight Information. Train is amazing at helping you make connections between concourses. It's reasonable clean Airport. With all the people coming through here they do a good job of maintaining this Facility. The Train is amazing and makes connections between concourses real easy and fast. Never see a Technical issue with them. They run like clockwork. There are so many good Restaurants all over. Love the Delta Lounge :) If you forgot something you are able to find it in one of the Stores. Sorry only have pictures of the Food Delta Served :)

Hard to go the full 5 stars as the new fancy bin system ain't any faster. Nice waste of 20 million dollars though, it looks cool at least. Updates to the airport good in general but they have a ways to go.

This is the busiest airport in the world but definitely not crowded. This is the hub of Delta Airlines. I have visited this airport many times to pick up and drop off family members traveling abroad. I flew to India from this airport on October 01, 2021 through Qatar Airways. My experience here is always pleasant and wonder how they manage such a big airport so efficiently and smoothly. Everything is so clean and organized. The airport is huge and it looks even bigger seeing different terminals and hundreds of planes parked from run way and while taking off. Security line was short and got through it quickly. The different signs posted help navigate easily through the airport. I was amazed to know that more than 50,000 employees are working day and night to keep this airport up and running without any problems. Kudos to the management!

At terminal E. 9/28/21 not vey busy this morning. Very clean and tidy. Took time seeing what shops they have, geared for the international traveller. The Delta club is about the best I have been to in the USA. They have lovely showers for those that need to be refreshed after a long trip. Options for eating is good in terminal E, good variety.

An exceptionally well managed airport considering how busy it is. Everyone from store employees through to the TSA and local law enforcement are very pleasant and welcoming. This is how an airport should be run. MARTA trains to Atlanta are frequent and easily accessible.

First time to atlanta airport and it is just humongous… wow . Even with JFK , we willl be able to manage going from one end to another but ATL - it’s a long walk to baggage and generally people get lost .. esp if u travel cheaper airlines like frontier , u will be all across the other end of the terminal. Lots of shops and eateries on the departure terminal, but not much cofffee shops . There was only one and it was crowdeddddd. There are sky trains taking u to other terminals and to rental car facilities. Loved the sky train. Nice airport . Overall a good experience.. nice and clean restrooms .. 👍👍👍

Big, pretty, clean airport. Fortunately I didn’t have to go far for my transfer and I had time. I liked how there was a lot of things to do at this airport, since I had time.

Southwest got us there on time and safely!!! So Pre-TSA was backed up like they only had 2 people working or something. We were at the airport 2 hrs early and was shocked about long lines. We were worried that we would miss our flight. I got to praying and thankfully we made it through! Our flight was a little delayed and so grateful for the small delay! We made it and enjoyed our time with Family!!

As someone who requires assistance walking, this airport has zero consideration. The issue is never when I'm leaving Atlanta. I can easily get assistance in the earlier parts if the day but if you are arriving after 9pm it's horrible. Since the pandemic, every seat, chair or bench has been removed from the baggage claim/ arrival/ departure area. This is insane. There is no one to do wheelchair assistance from gates, and the train makes you get off at T-Gate and walk all the way around the Delta side to baggage claim. No seats, no benches. I was about to get ran over because the people were in a stampede to get to baggage claim. Areas are roped off and I almost fell because I no longer have good balance. Put the seating back in the airport please. Some of us have to take our time and walk slowly. Impossible at this airport. Role off an area for special needs from T Gate to baggage or better yet hurry up and open the ground transfer train stop with escalators. This has been like this over a year.

This is my first time at this airport, & I found it to be a great experience. It’s busy, but maneuverable. There are plenty of signs to help you along your way throughout the airport. Plenty of food options, vending areas, & other shops; even a spa on concourse B. Their monitors with departures & arrivals stay well updated.

  • 4/5 Amy M. 8 months ago on Google
It's like Grand Central Station! You definitely want to get here at least 2 hours before your departure time. It takes that long to get through the security lines. Don't be like me and miss your flight! The lines are extremely long - even at 4 in the morning - but for the volume of people it does go pretty quickly.

Quite huge, and clean airport. The international flight is from Terminal F but flights to Canada via West Jet is via Terminal D. It's a long walk or taking the intra-train is faster. There are many food options around the terminals and many lounges.... The food prices are similar airport prices and the restrooms are quite clean.

Wow what a great airport. The atmosphere is very chill. The play jazz music when your walking around. Subways here are nice. The security guards and staff here are kind and helpful. People here are just in a much better mood then compared to the other airports. They have artwork here for people to tour in. 5/5 great airport
