Hampton
Park
is
a
nice
patch
of
βwild
spaceβ
sandwiched
between
developed
residential
areas.
The
park
is
defined
by
two
paved
paths
that
run
north-south
and
east-west
for
just
under
a
mile
each
way
and
intersect
in
the
middle
of
the
park.
There
isnβt
any
kind
of
developed
entry
location
with
lavatories
or
parking.
The
northern
entrance
off
Willis
Mills
Road
does
have
a
play
area
and
stops
for
working
out,
but
all
the
entry
points
are
located
in
the
surrounding
local
neighborhoods
where
visitors
must
park
on
residential
streets.
The
layout
prevents
you
from
following
any
kind
of
circular
route,
so
visitors
will
need
to
retrace
their
steps
when
leaving
or
extending
their
stay.
But
what
the
park
lacks
in
convenience
is
made
up
for
by
its
pleasant
scenery
and
quiet,
uncrowded
location.
Itβs
definitely
worth
a
visit
and
a
nice
place
for
a
walk
or
run.
Itβs
also
a
nice
thoroughfare
for
cyclists,
even
if
it
is
too
short
for
anything
but
a
pass-through
destination
on
a
much
longer
ride.
