👍👍 Water park sneak peak. We been waiting for this water park to be open for years. After remodeling, seems like the project keeps getting delayed. New asphalt has been laid down and parking marks are now painted. Offices are almost finished. Can’t wait for opening day. People often mention park, children, mask, pool, Great, location,

I would have gave a 5 but even after going home and allowing Time to pass Im still annoyed. First was the interaction with the young lady at the counter who before even greeting us informed me we need a mask. I explained I was fully vaccinated and I was heading to the pool (where I wouldn’t need a mask). She told me I would need it to get to the pool. I asked if she had any masks and she told me no. I was with my 2 minor children and she pretty much turned us away. To avoid a confrontation I requested a manager to which she complied and called one however not before rolling her eyes. The manager came over and he was very polite and professional I must say no complaints there. I explained my situation and he explained to me that the county still mandates face coverings. So again I asked if he had any mask there and he said they had just run out and they would be getting some but at the moment they didn’t. During this interaction my daughter was able to locate 2 face covering. My daughter and I walked into the locker room and then she went back out for my son with the same mask. I do feel like It was personal. There were plenty of guests with no masks clearly in view by the work out area but she would not allow my 8yr old In without a mask. Second issue was the pool. There was no control over the swimming lanes. There were people going over and under the ropes while other guests were trying to use the lanes for what they were designated for (lap swimming). My children and I were sharing the lanes with other swimmers but the random people standing in the middle of the lanes made it hard.

Myself and my husband joined Lake Spivey during their open house a few months ago I have frequent Several times since However I came in Saturday April 24th at 12:30 With my two grandchildren to swim and a neighbor to join I was told we had to wait an hour to swim by the tall Gentleman while the young lady checked in my neighbor and a family with 3 children to swim a So we did wait. However when a gentleman and his two sons left the pool Myself and my two grandchildren still were not allowed to go swimming When there were only the family 5 left in the pool Not even lap swimmers were in the pool. My neighbor was not even shown around the Facility I felt humiliated After waiting and left. Myself and my husband probably will not return there.

I’ve been frequenting Clayton international park for the past 15 years now. The improvements made have been tremendous and it’s a great park to walk or run. My wife and I just recently frequented their newly built rec center. This was our first time visiting a gym since the outbreak of the pandemic. The signs and messages on their big screens stating that mask wearing is required while working out on the main floor inside made us feel comfortable to enter. Into our workout though, we noticed some individuals working out without masks on the treadmill in our general area which made my wife uncomfortable. I addressed this with the manager on duty and he basically explained that even though it states that masks are required it’s not much he can do to enforce it. He also added his own reasoning as to the mask procedures inside the location that didn’t make sense to us, as that is not what this location’s signs and big screen stated. If you are still nervous about Covid-19, come during the slow hours between 1-3 pm and wear your mask, as you cannot expect the employees or management to enforce the rules they have stated regarding masks. I would have gave this location 5 stars, as this is a nice little gym to workout in and then have a stroll around the beautiful trails outdoors afterwards.

3 stars due to incompetency with staff comprehension of the difference between their location and the entire recreation park, and education on what the park offers. It's currently a beautiful current set up, but it's extremely hard to get information in person or over the phone PLUS the website is not user friendly. I called and asked about the classes and activities and the guy over the phone acted clueless about tennis and other activities because it wasn't at the Lake Spivey location. I had already spoke to someone about 6 months prior so I knew it was at the recreation center but couldn't find it online so I called and got the runaround until I eventually told the guy that it was at the park, even if it's at a different location in the park, then the "clue" finally slightly hit him and he wasn't as clueless. Then he said it wasn't in the park (wrong), it was across the street (double wrong). I went in and spoke to a young girl and she literally was a clone and kept talking about "across the street", when it's actually connected in the park and nowhere near an "across the street" view. The weirdest thing is, is that if you talk to somebody there in person at the Lake Spivey section and ask about the parks offerings, they only mention the water park. It was like pulling teeth to find out that there was other areas in the park. The incompetency is baffling. I think it stems moreso from the understandings of what is being asked. I don't think the staff members have ever been to or worked at a widespread park so they would not allow their minds to understand the concept that it's the same park but just sectioned off in different areas. The girl was young the guy sounded in his 30s. I hope this ignorance only was a double coincidence and that any forms of payment, membership, etc. would not endure the same type of confusion and runaround if ever a discrepancy arises.

As a resident of ClayCo, I frequent this park and like it; however, it baffles me there are NO working restrooms on site. There are three to four buildings labelled as "restrooms," but they are all locked or boarded up. This was the case when I visited yesterday afternoon. A few weeks ago, the same thing, but fortunately for myself and a few other ladies, this was during business hours and the ladies in the sales center allowed us to use the restroom there. I have reached out to the office today and will escalate this to management. People of all ages to include small children, women and elderly visit who may not want to relieve themselves in a bush and this needs correcting immediately.

My favorite place to go for my daily 5K walk. They also have a great water park, safe cycling, volleyball, a bark park, bbq grills, fishing, playground, tennis, senior center, and picnic areas.

I have a question, is there a cost if I would like to use a Pavillion there? I'm not need to cook or anything just use a Pavillion and access to the playground?

Ms. Freda, in one word, TERRIBLE!!! Upon picking up my children from camp, my youngest points her out and says "there's the lunch lady. It doesn't seem like she likes children at all". My oldest states that "she's always yelling". After speaking to other children and parents it's clear that Ms. Freda has no place working with the camp. The camp is overall good. There will always be issues, however, Ms. Jessica is very responsive and I believe she tries her best to find a suitable remedy. But, Ms. Freda should not be supporting the camp in any way or working with young children. The children pick up on her lack of empathy and care, which hinders their camp experience.

This park has grown over the years. There is a dog park now, a gym, longer trails, a water park, a playground with swings, and sand with volleyball nets. My family and dogs love it here. Plenty of places to park. You can even fish in the larger pond and feed the ducks. Pavilions are available for large gatherings. Several barbecuing pits too.

There you can relax by walking the trail or riding on bicycle. Excellent for kids to have fun at the water park during the summer months. Add this place to your must-visit place when you are in Georgia.
