This place is gorgeous! So peaceful and quiet. Beautifully maintained and so much wildlife to see! I really enjoyed the trails but the boardwalk was my favorite part. I went on a Friday morning and only saw one other person the entire time I was there. True hidden gem.

I’ve been coming here for years it’s such a nice escape from the city. If you are attending in warmer months PLEASE WATCH YOUR STEP FOR SNAKES!!! Though I absolutely love this place I have seen more snakes here than any other park. They are 100% here be VERY CAREFUL when going off the beaten path and also watch out for poison Ivy/Oak. The fishing is alright you’ll definitely lose some lures if you’re not careful but I know there’s some big ones out there. There are no restrooms here at all so go before you come. Also bring bug spray if you’re prone to mosquito bites they are pretty vicious here. Have fun and enjoy the views!!

Great in-town place for a hike or dog-walk. Ample gravel parking just off Moreland on the South side. No fixed bathroom but sometimes a port-a-potty is in place at the boardwalk. Most of the land is old-growth forest surround a lake and wetland between Intrenchment Creek and the South River. There is a long section of wavy paved path, two boardwalks, the fairly clear dried leaves and gravel trail of the 'Doll's Head' art exhibit, and then an often muddy but still maintained 7 Bridges dirt trail. The West section of boardwalk by the lake is being reconstructed (spring 2023) but the East boardwalk is open and connects Doll's Head to 7 Bridges. A spur just east of that point overlooks part of the South River system.

Neat trash art. It was worth the drive. The boardwalk was my favorite part of the trail. Definitely wear bug spray even early in the morning there were lots of mosquitoes. From the parking lot take the paved trail to the left for the easiest route to dolls head trail. Once you’ve seen the art and some of the boardwalk then do not continue around the loop if you don’t like very narrow, overgrown trails with several downed trees and mud (it was slippery). I didn’t mind but if you are hiking with kids or a pet it’s something to be mindful of. Enjoy!!!

Went to hike the infamous Doll's Head Trail. It was a short hike and interesting art pieces. A couple things to note: several bridges are under construction. There isn't a bathroom, and there is a port-a-potty in the parking lot.

Constitution Lakes is a literal hidden gem. The best address to access the trailhead and parking is 1305 River Industrial Blvd SE Atlanta, GA 30315. The wooden boardwalk is an easy, scenic walk to the first of the lakes where you can fish or relax on a bench and enjoy the view. The right fork of the boardwalk leads to a second and a third lake - the third being the loveliest in my opinion. The main attraction of the area is the iconic Doll's Head Trail. The left fork of the boardwalk leads to the beginning of the trail which is more like an art installation created from discarded "artifacts" found in the area. Joel Slaton is the primary curator and founded Doll's Head about 10 years ago when he was a resident in the area. He knows a lot about the history of the area and has many colorful stories explaining the exhibits on the trail. I highly recommend contacting for a guided tour.

The lake looks like a bog this time of year but I LOVE IT. Cool trails and not too crowded considering it's proximity to the city. Would recommend for a relaxing walk.

A unique and beautiful park, not crowded due to its out of the way location. You won’t see anything like Dolls’ Head Trail, and the wetlands are expansive and teaming with wildlife. Quite easy to get to.

Always a nice hike. Most of the paths are flat so it's not too strenuous. Lots of birds and wildlife. The Dolls Head Trail is located here.

This place is AMAZING! We visited the doll head Trail and it was by far one of our favorite hikes. If you're questioning whether or not to go, it is a very welcome space for all ages. We were out there with children as young as two years old. It is a very easy hike. Not a lot of hills and not a lot of unfavorable terrain. But you do have to see it to believe it. It is an amazing hike!

The boardwalks that are standing are good quality, the paved sidewalk path is clear and sturdy and accessible for people with wheelchairs or other mobility aids. The wooded walking paths are not accessible for mobility aids, but for walking persons, they are pretty easygoing compared to other wooded areas I have explored. There's a few sections where there's lifted wooden walkways over areas that are particularly prone to mud and that was nice. A whole lot of weird art, and I'm a fan of it but I recognize that it is not everybody's cup of tea. Also met a couple people independently of each other who were in the area who let me know that I should probably not be in the area for too long after dark because people get mugged here and that's less than ideal. That's just what I was told though, I did not get mugged. I did get a bit of heat exhaustion though, but that's not the locations fault, that's my own fault. There's a creek not too far from some of the walking paths, and I cooled off there which was great for my body but also absolutely made for a longer shower at the end of the day because I have never seen such calm water so full of hidden debris. Not even like normal litter trash, this appeared to be stuff that fell off of rail cars over the last 20 years or so, large chunks of rusted metal submerged and lightly covered in algae so it looks like a normal rock until you accidentally break your toe on it and get a splinter that makes you start calling around to find out when your last tetanus shot was. Even with a sawyer filter I wouldn't trust what you can get from this creek fire drinking purposes, so while I shouldn't have to say you should bring water, I'm going to highlight that you absolutely should bring your own water. There's a circular brick and concrete thing just off the beaten path, it shows up on google maps as Mysterious Circle Structure which does not answer any questions. Lotta train traffic nearby, kinda adds to the ambiance in a weird Appalachian Gothic kinda way, but I might be projecting due to all of the decapitated dolls.

What a great little gem of a trail not too far outside of Atlanta. We hiked the entire trail, including the doll's Head trail. Very eclectic setting. The boardwalks over the water were mesmerizing. This will be one of our favorites to do again

Went down to hike the Doll Head Trail. It's creepy. Very creepy. But it's a very creepy and cool collection of found art. A few warnings. Wear good hiking boots and long pants. The trail is muddy and swampy. It's tight, slightly overgrown, and there is A LOT of poison ivy. We also saw some deer and other wildlife. Be careful on the boardwalk, there's a rail missing and the boardwalk itself is wonky. Overall, it was worth the time we took to go down, hike the trail, and see the art. I'd suggest going if you are interested and enjoy hiking and found art.

I've wanted to head out here for some time, and it was definitely worth the wait! Even with other people on the trail it was a peaceful walk. If you're headed out for the Doll's Head Trail, don't put that in your GPS lest you end up on a dead end road. Constitution Lakes should be your heading. If you're just going to walk, allow about an hour.

Clean area, I spotted 2 kinds of fish, largemouth bass and bluegill/sunfish (GA fishing license required, didn't see any forest officer but just in case), trails are long with good shade, there is some shortcuts you should try, I like the place I recommend it

This was interesting. The trail is definitely very run down. It feels like good money was spent to create it but then nothing was spent to maintain it. The boardwalk is great in most places and then clearly rotten and uprooted in many more, and a section of railing had fallen over by the water. A large portion of the walk after the dolls head area was swamped with water and very muddy. We went after a lot of rain, so it would probably be much better if it's dry. We saw a snake, so that was fun. We also had a giant tree fall 15 feet away from us after we just walked by it, that was very scary. Do not walk here after it rains, unless you really like trees, on top of you, and mud below, as you enjoy your last breath with the snakes that will eat you.

We love the trails and the little surprises on Dolls Head trail! Don’t bring anything to add - you can only add what you find there. Can be muddy so just be aware.

What a magnificent place to sit and become one with nature. A lovely place for birdwatching, hiking, and a bit of fishing. I loved the trails around it.

It's a great, mostly shaded 1.5 mile loop. Other trails are being added in addition to the Dolls Head Trail. Please do not bring trash to add to the "exhibits." You can rearrange things into new "exhibits" though. If you go early in the morning beware of lots of cascading spiderwebs.

The park is good but. The trail needs some fixing side railing are broken and falling apart. It could be dangerous for kids if they are nit around with adults. Some of the trail flipped off because of flash floods I believe. It’s overall a good place but needs lot’s of repair and you have to be careful when you’re there.

  • 1/5 Kimberly G. 5 months ago on Google
It's so much potential here, but the community has not kept this place up. I grew up going outside and enjoying trails, so I was comfortable with the unfinished/damaged boardwalk and walking through the trails. It needs a lot of cleaning up from all the trash the visitors have left. Those who do care have created a trail off the beating path that you can adventure at your own risk, but I do recommend ONLY doing it on a nice dry day. It can get very muddy here. If you're looking for fish, you may catch one, but don't get your hopes up. Bass have been caught here, but far and few in-between.

This place needs an upgrade. The deck for the walkway had been torn apart. The late look Brown and dirty. There were homeless people sleeping in their cars and trash all over the ground in the Rocky parking lot. It definitely wasn't a pretty sight. It did not look anything like some of the beautiful pictures I have seen online. It just looked like a trashy place for homeless people.

  • 4/5 Wayne S. 3 years ago on Google
It's ok but going in or out of the drive is bumpy as all get up. I know that crime is average for the area but the people that is using it for hiking and other stuff looks at you like you might rob them and is not a very welcomed place. I'm white but that should not matter because all lives matter not just one race. Sorry. But the place is beautiful and we'll kept up. I feel safe down in there even though there is a few homeless folks around there from the 5-way I presume. They probably are the only ones that will conversant and make you feel welcome. That's sad isn't.

Beautiful Park! I went yesterday 4/21 and it was just beautiful. I went with my family and their children, even the toddlers were excited. It was so beautiful, it almost felt like I was in another country and so close to my home. An oasis hidden in the midst of the city.

A nature park complete with ponds and several types of egrets, ducks and geese with a very interesting ode to human detritus, and yet worth the visit. It’s location in the heart of an industrial area is very unique yet the reason that the park exists is because of its former use in local industry. The Dolls Head trail is pretty cool and makes art out of the left behind waste. The north concrete paved trail is a pleasant walk but beware of the boardwalk that appears to be sinking into the wetland. The southern trail (Seven Bridges) is in need of maintenance and is strewn with human trash brought in by the local streams. Avoid the southern trail after heavy rain.

It's beautiful along the boardwalk over the wetlands. It's an easy-ish hike along a path to get to. A couple downed trees to climb over. "Dolls head trail" is also freaky but interesting. About a 20 minute drive from Midtown Atlanta.

  • 3/5 Jill J. 3 years ago on Google
I wouldn't travel far to go here. The doll trail is just okay. Its off the main path and just weird and not artsy. It needs an upgrade, the words on the sign are worn. Go if you were already going for a walk but don't go out of your way to see it.

  • 4/5 Tony B. 3 years ago on Google
Trail is pretty overgrown in places, but that's likely due to COVID. The Doll Head trail is neat, and the boardwalk over the swamp is beautiful.

  • 3/5 Chris G. 3 years ago on Google
Muddy trail, but unique with the doll head trail.

  • 4/5 Emily C. 3 years ago on Google
Many mosquitoes on the Seven Bridges Trail in summer. It is fun otherwise.

  • 4/5 Aaron B. 3 years ago on Google
The doll head train and board walk were nice. WARNING! Wear bug spray, the mosquitoes are insane on the seven bridges train. Really bad.

  • 4/5 Alex P. 3 years ago on Google
This is a cool place and is worth visiting. The reason for the 4 star review is because the entrance and parking lot need some renovation. There are major pot holes on the drive into the park, which is very difficult for small or mid-size vehicles. The lakes are peaceful and the doll head trail is interesting. I recommend skipping the side of the trail that does not have the doll head trail. It is quite wet and not as well maintained as the doll head side.
