We are new to Atlanta.. One of our friend suggested to go to Decatur. There are a lot of Indian shops in this place. There was confusion over where to eat. Then we read in the review that thali meal is good in Chat Patti. We immediately went there and ordered thali, pani poori and gopi manchurian. There are a wide variety of vegetarian dishes here. The thali meal was very tasty. In the thali, there were five types of curries, appalam, and two soft poori. Fantastic vegetarian restaurant. But it was little late to get food because there was only one person to serve. This restaurant is small that it seems like the crowd is high. Definitely dine here if you have a chance dont miss this restaurant. We would like to come here often. This place has big parking lot.

I ordered the vegetarian tally, samosa and mango lassi which came on a huge plate with 5 or 6 different items. The food quality and portion was amazing for 12$. The mango lassi was creamy and tasted fresh. The service was pretty fast considering it was packed full of people. I gave 4 star since I felt the lady by the counter had a bit of attitude problem. Seemed a bit rude. I have friends who work in the service industry and I understand it's exhausting work specially at the end of your shift but it's very important to treat customers with respect. I recommend anyone to try this place their food is good and they have plenty of options for vegetarians and vegans alike. I will definitely be back.

Food is always consistent and good. However in the current environment I was not satisfied with their safety measures given covid. Most of the employees had masks below their nose, tables were too close together. Social distancing measures and cleaniness weren't being implemented. I did not dine in got my food to go

When I got inside this plaza, I felt like I was in India…most majority of customers are Indian National. There are over 25 stores including supermarkets. This restaurant has many variety food. I am not a vegetarian but enjoyed this food very much. I wish I live close to this area. Warning! Food is pretty spicy and no need to tell you want it spicy, it comes spicy anyway😅I ordered lassi at the end of meal cause it was so spicy, and I was shaking…yes, lassi saved me! Most of dishes are less than $7 and the most expensive dish was $10.95. You don’t know Indian food? Just point the picture and try. I visited this location again. This time I ordered Thali and Dosa. Dosa has a lots of jalapeños inside so if you love spicy food, go for it. I thought I ordered lassi, yogurt drink, but instead I got Pakora, fried veg fritters, which was very tasty. On my way home, I stopped by Indian grocery store and got a 1/2 gallon lassi to extinguish a fire in my mouth😱

They have a big menu and the quality of the food it really good! The price is also very good. I have tried other places in this area and came back to this place as my preferred choice due to a combination of the variety, price, quality and service. I have attached two photos as an example of what you get with a veg thali. It is impressive to have a chat as an appetizer. I recommend this place.

This place use to be so Good!!! Don’t know if they have changed there chef or what!!! Quality of food is been dropping every visit and prices are little higher side. Ordered sabudana kichdi it was full of oil. All I see is Mexican people(cook) no Indian chef. So that explains!! Don’t waste your time and money.

My favorite place in Atlanta for chat. This is my go to place. All the foods I’ve tried so far were fabulous. The special chat is a must try. It’s always good. Chole bhatura, spicy dosa, thali, pakodas. Everything is good. Price is competitive. Service is nice. Wish it was little bit spacious and the water cups slightly bigger (so don’t have to refill after every couple of gulps 🤣)

Had chat, not very crowded. Service is good, they have a wide range of options to choose. We had Dhokla, that was good. The special fried rice was good too. Pav Bhaji was awesome. Bhel puri was pathetic and so was pani puri. The pani was not tasty, missed both the tangy and hot taste. Will probably try something else next time.

This place has the most amazing Indian food. I have tried many restaurants but none comes closer to the authentic Indian street food taste but this restaurants absolutely nails it. They have a VASTTTTTT menu of all Indian chats, snacks, curries, beverages. My personal favorite is their Khandvi and Mango lassi

Traveling back home to Florida we had to stop here!. This place is truly amazing, we've never found a place like it. We got the samosa chat, chat Patti special chat, Gobi Manchurian , pizza, and kit Kat milkshake. The flavors are just heavenly. Not to spicy. Friendly staff. Clean. This is a must stop for any Indian food lovers, you may even cry when you have to leave.

This was the most magnificent restaurant I have ever been too. I was so surprised by the work of a young adult at the register helping out and he was so respectful. The food was outstanding and I would definitely recommend coming here. Everyone is so nice and treats others with respect. The environment was clean and the inside was beautiful. This restaurant gives you a taste of India and I will definitely visit back!

This is a gem of a place to eat Indian street food. It was like Manek Chowk in Decatur. Very happy and satisfied with the test we got here at Chat Patti Indian Vegetarian Restaurant. We had Kachori Chaat (best of all), Gobi Manchurian and Chinese Noodles (customized for my 2.6 yrs daughter). We loved it.

Years before I moved to Atlanta my family and I would visit ATL just to eat good Indian food. One of the go to's on our visits was a shop called Chatpaati a vegetarian only Indian restaurant that's been in Patel plaza for over 5 years now and was on Briarcliff for another 20. Chatpatti specializes in Chaat - an Indian street food that is busting with different flavors, temperatures and textures. Pictured here is my favorite Chaat in the restaurant (a basic one) the samosa Chaat. Let's break down what makes it so good: 1. The main substance: in samosa Chaat the main ingredients are a large samosa, typically crushed that is then topped with spicy chickpeas 2. The sauces: on top of the main ingredients are two types of chutneys - hari (green often made with mint) chutney, meethi (sweet often made with tamarind) chutney and yogurt. By themselves the main ingredients have tons of spices and flavors but add in all this extra sauce and it's bursting with flavor 3. The consistency: I love the samosa Chaat because the samosa gives it a little crunch, and it's a bit warm, topped with cool yogurt and chutneys and while there's a ton of flavor you're also experiencing a ton of textures. I LOVE it. Warning - all those spices can be a bit tough on the stomach, unless you're an Indian food pro don't eat all of this in one sitting, go with your Indian friend when you check out this legendary ATL restaurant!!

Had a light dinner here.. tried Paneer Chilli Dosa, Medhu Vada, Cutlet and Gobi Paratha.. Gobi Paratha was awesome 👌.. especially with the combo of pickle and sweetened curd.. reminded me of the Dhabas in India.. the cutlet was fine and the Vada was very good.. Dosa and Masala was great.. but didn't like the paneer and chilli was put in.. but Dosa with Chutney was good.. I'm not a sambar person so not sure how it was.. overall good food for decent price.. worth if you are looking to have chaats, tiffin type items

I am eating here today !! This is my second here today and let me tell you, the atmosphere here is amazing! The customer service is on point, the food is amazing!! This restaurant is the restaurant to go to! It’s delicious and extremely welcoming! I myself don’t really know a lot of south Asian dishes, I usually feel very self conscious when it comes to asking the employees on what one dish is and the other, but let me tell you, this restaurants employees are amazing ! I never ever feel misjudged!

I never had any experience like this any resturant. And also they give me food after may be 20 minutes. I never go there again.

By far the best authentic Indian vegeterian restaurant in Atlanta so far. I tried their dosa pizza and kachori chaat and both were at par. I was so much impressed by their food that I came back again very next day.

I’ve been coming to this family run restaurant for years and their service and quality has always been consistent. They are kind and greet us early and familiarly every time we come. The food is exceptional. Complex and delicious flavors punctuate every dish and they also cater to many different diets. When we tell them we’re vegan they automatically know what dishes we can’t have and on top of that, they always ask if we need gluten free options for good measure. And did I say the food was bomb?! It’s one of my faves in Atlanta and affordable as well! I’ll forever patronize this restaurant for amazing their amazing food and customer service.

They are fairly knowledgeable about gluten and sensitivities. Don't be shy to ask the questions if you want to know ingredients. Dosas have no wheat ingredients, but there is cross-contamination..

Totally worth 5 stars for the food. The menu had an impressive selection of mouthwatering items, catering to various tastes and preferences. I must say, they've consistently maintained their reputation and it was a truly delightful experience.. Their service is super fast and they do maintain hygiene. Overall, I would highly recommend Chat Patii restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal and value for money. I must say, Each variation had its own unique flavor profile and was expertly prepared with fresh ingredients. The food was really good and the Chaat was cherry on the cake! If at all you are in the area and need a place to get a quick fix for your hunger then this should be it!. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for an exceptional dining experience!

Food was tasty, there were lot of varieties, ranging from Indian street food, chinese food, shakes, Indian desserts everything. And the taste was so much balanced, neither too mild neither too spicy. The service was real quick! During my multiple visits there, I tried chhole bhature, ghee masala dosa, kachori chaat, strawberry shake and pizza dosa. Everything was decent and tasted good. The quantity was also good. Pricing was also good, except for the shake, which was a little pricey compared to it’s general price in similar restaurants.

The most unorganized Indian restaurant I have ever visited; place order, pay and go sit, then pray your food will arrive within an hour, Also one item at a time. price was reasonable but service is horrible, waiting staff standing around, almost rushing you to “hurry eat and get out” feelings, so they can sit someone else, I don’t recommend this place!!!

Chat Patti had no line when I entered. The cashier didn’t understand me clearly, the cook was standing beside her, he said this is Indian spices I said I know I’m familiar. He looked stunned, her co-worker was standing on the left side of her she informed her she didn’t understand me so she answered my questions on the street food and the cook cleared up a question I asked also. She also informed me what I was seeing is only a displayed which was beautifully fired.I ordered the Palak Pakora and the Puri Puff dry masala. I was expecting to get what I saw which was some golden brown Palak Pakoras. I received my order, got to my car looked at my food and saw it was deep dark brown. I return it saying it’s burnt, I received my replacement got home realized it was being re fried, this time the Palak Pakora was half /dark and half cold. The taste was not great at all. What I received on my replacement was half re fired /dark and half cold Palak Pakora, the puri puff dry masala was golden brown but cold. The green chill sauce was good and I didn’t receive napkins in my bag.

One of the best vegetarian Indian restaurants in Atlanta. Been here so many times but never dropped a review. Fast casual type dining (order and sit down or take to-go). The food is made fresh to order. My go-tos are the chili paneer/paneer 65, Manchurian, and samosa chaat. The paneer is always crispy and all the food has amazing flavors. They even gave us free dessert one time: mango pudding and some chiku juice (Sapodilla). Definitely go here if you want Indian food.

    - Authentic tasting Indian chaat - Food portion matching its price - Food so good it makes you want to visit again and again - Not so tidy restroom area given the crowd that visits this place. But they could work more on getting the used dishes racks away from the restroom area and keep it more tidy in general. We had cutlet, Aloo tikki chaat, Punjabi vegetable with bhature and Mango Mastani milkshake. Cutlet - was a little bland a a teeny bit soggy. Could have used more flavor. But the mint chutney served as a side was excellent! Aloo tikki chaat was amazinggg! It had all the flavors hitting the right place. It was a brilliant mixture of Aloo(potatoes) for carbs and Chickpeas for protein. The portion is quite huge and is quite filling as a dinner. Punjabi vegetable with bhature was also equally good. Bhature was a little too thick in the centre but cooked well and crisp on other areas. For Punjabi vegetable, we were served Navaratan Kurma and it tasted just like a homemade dish. Mango Mastani has been a frequent drink I get and the taste of it tends to change a bit every time I visit! But for the most part, it has tasted creamy and yummy! Overall, a great place to try out Indian chaat!

  • 4/5 Rik S. 1 year ago on Google
Ordered some chaat, some Chinese (veg noodles and paneer chilly), a masala dosa, rasmalai, and a Virgin mojito. Their chaat seems to be the best. The dosa was pretty decent. The Chinese… just about average/below average. Like the rasmalai — it wasn’t overly sweet.

Very very bad hygiene. Also the masala tea tasted like hot water. Very bad service. The women serving out food loose track of their orders. My thali (Indian version of dinner) took 45 min to come out. The Indian folks who ordered it after me got it before me. After eventually getting and eating their Thali, I had stomach upset. Never ever go here! No COVID protocols followed here! Enter at your risk!

Nobody follows covid rules here. Most workers weren't wearing their masks correctly. The lady at the counter kept touching her mask and gave food with the same hands. The order management was not good either. The workers looked like they were having a hard time taking orders. Not satisfied with the service. I was disappointed with the carelessness from the workers. food also doesn't taste the way it used to. Not coming back if rules are not followed here.

I love the food here but they heat everything in styrofoam. Many of the appetizers are half cooked. They put them in styrofoam bowls/plates and then heat them in the microwave. This is toxic. Styrofoam melts with the food when you put it in the microwave. They also serve most of the hot food in styrofoam. I’ve tried to tell them about styrofoam and heat but no one seems to care or understand. I hate that I have to choose between my health and flavors I absolutely love.

Ordered samosa/pani puri chaat with a side of paneer and I came in thinking this would be just as comparable to some of the indian restaurants up north. Boy, was I wrong. Once I ordered, they got the cleaning guy to distract me by talking about the election, while they put the paneer in the microwave... so needless to say, the paneer was sub par. The chaat was semi decent, but they only gave me one samosa, and the rest was pani poori. very small portions, all for 22 dollars. I can get a buffet up north for less than that. Won't be coming to this place again.

The bus boy was bussing tables and dropping off food to customers without washing his hands. With covid19, he wasn't even sanitizing the tables, trays or his hands. Dumped food from a table, went straight to pick up ready food and took it to table, then filled water for customers too. Nasty. Would give 0 stars if possible.

Chats are good at this place . But this is not South Indian food place I would suggest . when I took vada Sambhar it’s was terrible. Vada wasn’t crispy. Sambhar taste bland and thin like water with no taste of even salt . Felt as if oil mixed with color water has been poured. Neither chutney tastes anything.
