🫤 I will continue to support black owned businesses. However this business is lacking in the customer service dept. the female that answers the phone & takes orders at the bar is so rude. But why though?! The fried oysters are salty so be careful, they were good with the sauce. The rasta pasta is okay... People often mention vegan, good, time, pasta, great, Rasta, restaurant, ordered, service, delicious,

I will continue to support black owned businesses. However this business is lacking in the customer service dept. the female that answers the phone & takes orders at the bar is so rude. But why though?! The fried oysters are salty so be careful, they were good with the sauce. The rasta pasta is okay , they need a little more sauce added so we can enjoy it later. I'm just gonna coach a class for all black owned businesses that lack customer service b/c its not hard. The owner needs to read reviews & take action fast .

I’m not vegan but still enjoy the vegan seafood gumbo. The flavor was great, still working on the texture of the shrimp. The cobbler was ok. I like filling more than breading. Now the fried oyster mushrooms was so good. Fried to perfection. I got my food to go during a weekday for a late lunch. It wasn’t busy and service was great, friendly staff. I ordered online so my food was ready when I arrived. I would love to go back one day when I can sit inside and enjoy entertainment

I patronize to vegan restaurants all the time and this is a poor example of an establishment. For $14 they gave me scraps of food. The first time I patronized I was greeted nicely and given a good serving. When I talked to the owner he told me it’s the customer’s responsibility to pay for cost of supplies. The restaurant isn’t well lit, wait times are unbelievably long, and food was cold. If you’re looking for good vegan food with amazing customer service, consistently, and dignity visit Herban fix! But this was legit a waste of money and time! The stigma behind black owned business is sadly true!

We went in pretty early, so there wasn’t much going on. Seemed they were still prepping and sweeping up from the previous night, but that had no bearing on our dining experience. Our server was pleasant, and offered us a sample of the ginger tea before we ordered it, which is AMAZING by the way. My husband stuck to his normal “cheesesteak” option, which made me incredibly jealous because the flavors were bold and beefy and was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had, vegan or non vegan. My daughter had the shrimp pasta, and those flavors are more light but still really delicious. I held out on eating vegan “shrimp” because as a seafood-loving Florida girl, I figured I would just eliminate it from my diet altogether. I must say, the texture of the “shrimp” is spot on and the flavor is almost comparable. Would I eat them again? Probably not. I can have pasta without it. But it’s definitely a good option for those who don’t prefer a “meatless” pasta. I ordered the “chicken” and waffles with oyster mushrooms. The waffle was good, but the oyster mushrooms with the sweet chili sauce was AMAZING! Loved the vibe in this place. I will definitely return very soon.

Went there with a friend today and everything was great. The food and the service was AMAZINGGGGGG! I understand that they use top notch ingredients like Grapesend oil and spelt flour for frying. They also have an alkaline menu for those interested. Our server TT was super sweet with great energy. 👍🏾 Brought my non vegan hubby some food to go.... Vegan shrimp and lentil soup and he loved it. We will be back.

I had a pretty great experience my first time there!!! The vibe was dope, the energy was positive and the food and drinks were amazing!!!! I love the vegan take on dishes that are generally known for having meat, chicken or seafood... perfect balance for adults or kids... the music was just right... will definitely return to support this dope black owned business!!

I absolutely loved the environment and how nice the waitress was (I think it was the owner). However the food was hit or miss in my opinion. My boyfriend said that the Rasta Pasta was good but I did not like the Mac and Cheese or my burger. The buffalo oyster mushroom appetizers were great! We felt everything was very overpriced priced. Despite the taste all the food looked beautiful. I would go back for takeout but it just wasn't worth the price to dine in.

Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in the Atlanta. I regularly order the fried oyster mushrooms and sweet potato hash (brunch menu). Both are pictured. Outstanding would be an understatement. I highly recommend this restaurant, whether you are vegan/plant based or not there will undoubtedly be something enjoyable for you on the menu.

Today was my first visit and I tried the Rasta Pasta which a dear friend shared on her Instagram live last year. It was exactly what I expected, flavorful, filling, and vegan. I'm not a vegan but I have several sensitivities/allergies so this is a great alternative to eating my fave foods with no adverse reactions. I also enjoyed my cold pressed juice. My only disappointment is that it is not in my area. I highly recommend to all foodies.

We came all the way from Mississippi to try this place after seeing them on TikTok! As a black business owner I always like to support my own! The waitress Crystal was AMAZING she took multiple orders, answered multiple phone calls, handled the dining room and was all smiles! The food was SUPER DELICIOUS! Those oyster mushrooms were amazing! The wait wasn’t long at all and the service all together was 10/10 ❤️

I am in awe of this place. The atmosphere is a vibe. RnB playing in the background while you enjoy your lunch/dinner or waiting for your pick up. Brenton the owner is very welcoming and helpful as well as the rest of the staff. Life Bistro definitely has become one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta. I’m doing an alkaline plant based detox currently and It can be difficult to find quality seasoned food. Details matter and The pictures do it no justice but if you could taste the food through a picture you wouldn’t regret it. 😊 Below I ordered the sweet & spicy Oyster Mushrooms, Creamy Pesto Fettuccine that came with zucchini fries. Finger licking good! I’ve also tried the “chicken”&waffles delicious spelt waffle! Lastly I had the Portobello Mushroom Rasta Pasta and that has me in the chokehold OHKay lol. An intimate restaurant no matter the day but weekends are when the stage opens up and did I mention they had a 🎤 mic?. From a now & forever supporter. Thank you!

I came across this establishment of IG and being vegan I’m always looking for new places to try. The owner is very hands on and has a great attentive manner. We had cold press juice, sweetNspicy oyster mushrooms(my favorite), chicken and waffles, lobster dip with pita bread( omg). And to go we got the Rasta pasta and cookiesNCream cupcakes. Everything was. Delicious and fresh. This is not a fast food place and orders are made to order so if you can’t be patient don’t go!!!! We jammed out to the music conversed with the owner. I will definitely be back.

This was our first time eating at this restaurant. My nephew stated that he wanted to try vegan. The restaurant has a small dining setup. We arrived close to 7:15. I believe there was one waitress and cook present. When we ordered we thought that it would take about 30 mins. I assuming it that they cooked to order due to the time spent waiting on our food. We would have been okay with the wait time if we was advised before ordering. We did mentioned to the waitress that this was our first time dining at Life Bistro. There was five of us dining after spending time with my niece during her Prom photo shoot and parting ways as to say. Three of us order the shrimp pasta with sides. My son order the Philly and fries and of course the man person who wanted to try eating vegan (my nephew) ordered only collard greens and fries! Smh! The drinks arrived longer than expected. He seems as though an hour passed by and we are baffled. When will the food arrive? Mine you, that I haven’t ate all day but a Turkey and sausage snack pack. My son nothing at all due to Ramadan. The sun has set. Food still not present. Finally, the food came out but it was only the pasta without the sides. Minutes….. Later my collards arrived. My daughter and sister was still waiting on their sides which was the Cajun Macaroni. My sister had already finished her pasta. The waitress came to the table and stated that they had to make some more macaroni and it was in the oven. The nephew and my son who had the easiest food to make finally received their food. Finally the macaroni came out with the sweet potato bacon which was chips. We had to get to go. The food was really good for a vegan restaurant but not being told that we will would have to wait over an hour for our food when it was only two party guest present was exhausting. Cooking food to order is great but not advising first time guest on the lengthy time is not a good idea. I didn’t see any signs posted up regarding it. I would have given more stars but we all was exhausted for waiting to eat and our food did not come out at the same time do which lead us to wait longer for other family members to finished eating their food.

There is no reason this restaurant shouldn't be rated 5 stars. Literally just went here for the first time 01/28/2023 and the service and food were impeccable. I ordered my food and literally not even 10 minutes later it was coming out to me. My server was so nice. She checked in with me several times. I definitely will be back. I had the "chicken" and Waffles. It was to die for. I'm not the best at taking photos but this place was worth a review.

This was my first visit to Life Bistro. I decided to stop by since I’ve been putting it off for a few years now and I am glad I did. I ended up getting several entrées because I’m greedy😋! I also got the fresh cucumber juice and the peach cobbler for dessert. Everything was delicious and the customer service was phenomenal! Thank you I will be back soon.

I LOVE LOVE Life Bistro. The food tastes amazing and energized my body soul overall. One unfortunate compliant that several vegan restaurants get is that it’s never enough seasoning… but hear me good… both the Seafood Rasta Pasta (added the vegan shrimp) and Portobello Steak Rasta Pasta (off the Alkaline menu with the chickpeas pasta) had the seasoning/ favor stamp approval from the ancestors. The favor was all there and didn’t miss a beat. We also ordered the Sweet and Spicy Oyster Mushrooms with the sauce already on top. I have had the sauce on the side before and that way is good too but I prefer the sweet and spicy sauce on top. And all this was washed down with their fresh juiced Pineapple Ginger Juice. If you are looking for a vegan restaurant to try out maybe because you are starting your vegan journey and/or you just want to try vegan food.. I highly recommend Life Bistro. Enjoy!

My food was exceptional. This was my first time eating here. I’ve been a vegetarian since April so it’s been hard for me to find real meals of my liking but I’m glad Life Bistro popped up on my maps because I’ve found me a go to spot. Expect me to be a Regular. Definitely give them a try if you’re in the area you want regret it.

I came in from out of town and this place was on my list to try out. The food was amazing. I had the Bob Marley wrap, healthy, delicious and fulfilling. Although this establishment is only accepting pick up and delivery only, the environment was peaceful and pleasant. I will return during my visit to try other dishes. Thank you.

I absolutely love it. I've been twice. The staff is so nice, I love the feeling of the place and the food!!!!!!!! Amazing. I had the rasta pasta twice and the sweet and sour mushrooms. THE KALE SALAD!!! The orange is the new black drink and some desserts. My favorite was the lavender cupcake. It's a tad pricey for dinner but honestly I got so full.

My pasta didn’t look like every other picture, so I was instantly disappointed. Not enough sauce or seasoning. Tastes like basil and pasta. No seasoning at all on the black eyed peas. For $23 dollars and a 30+ minute wait I was expecting it to be hotter too. I’ll try other items if I come back. Service was great though other than that. Everyone spoke.

My husband and I ate here and at first I was nervous because of mixed reviews. Well our experience was wonderful!! The 2 ladies working there were extremely sweet and personable. People complaining about the time or takes to cook have to take into consideration that this is not only vegan but ALKALINE as well. This type of quality of food is going to take more time. The shrimp Po' boy I had with mac n cheese and greens was lovely! You would never have known that the shrimp was not actual shrimp! And the red velvet cake was the cherry on top!

I absolutely love this place. The food and juices / teas / smoothies are delicious and nutritious. The customer service is phenomenal. TT took excellent care of us and everyone else dining in. Like before a customer could even bend over to pick up the knife she dropped she had walked over and brought her another. She’s very knowledgeable about the menu and all the ingredients and gives great recommendations. There is a 20% gratuity on dine in and it’s well worth it. It’s one of those places where you want to order everything, and you can’t really go wrong because everything on the menu is so good! I’ve had the Rasta pasta (both ways with mushrooms and Konjac shrimp), the lobster fondue, the gumbo and they did not disappoint. Do yourself a favor and order some food to go as well. I look forward to coming back on one of their live music or poetry nights. I will stop by every time I am in Atlanta. 🫶🏽

By far the best vegan food in the city, and I have tried several restaurants. This vegan fine dining and worth every penny. The Seafood Rasta Pasta is AMAZING. The Stuffed Avocado Salad is INCREDIBLE. And, they know what they're doing with curry and quinoa. A must try. The food and presentation are both top notch.

Everything was great! The Chili Dog was BANGIN! IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The fried sampler was good also. The lemon pepper 🍄 were a little too salty. Only reason for the 4star is the Mac N Cheese.. 🤮🤮. It tasted extremely funny. Would not recommend wasting the money. Overall, I'd return 🤗🤗🤗😋😋

i don't eat beef, so was looking to try some new places either plant based or non beef patty. not necessarily a fan of beyond or impossible, but i did like their burger. i prefer turkey or veggie. however, i did ask for a cheeseburger and didn't get cheese on it and it doesn't come with fries. also didn't like the bun. it was ok, but for $15, it could come with fries and a drink.

I tried Life Bistro out for the first time yesterday. I ordered the sweet and sour oyster mushrooms and a couple of other items. I did an online order for pick up (no dine in). My main reason for not being satisfied is that the oyster mushrooms were not fresh. They tasted like I was eating mainly batter and I really couldn't taste the mushroom. I'm not sure if the sauce that comes with these is sweet chilli sauce. I just know I asked for a side of sweet chili sauce(which I paid extra for) and that was the only sauce I had in my bag. Shame on me for not pulling out all of the contents in my bag and thoroughly inspecting. I should've taken a photo to include in this review. 🤦🏾‍♀️

If you’re vegan, health-conscious, switching to a plant-based diet, or exploring the alkaline diet you’re gonna love this place. Food is affordable and DELICIOUS but also very health conscious and comforting. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu by now and I haven’t come across a single thing I didn’t like. The vibe here is really great too. A bunch of nice people making really yummy food.

I will highly encourage people to go and try this place out. The ambiance the waitress Miss J did a phenomenal job. Just please make your way if you're around this area. And the collard greens are so wonderful.

I like to keep it real and raw: I once had beef with this place, but they have me back as a happy customer after my last experience with them. Long story short, the experience that I had with them in the past was quite poor not necessarily due to the food itself but the customer service. I was pretty upset and even wanted to write them a harsh review back then but decided against that, because I didn’t want to potentially harm this new black-owned business due to my experience. After a long while, I chose to give them another go, crossing my fingers for the best, and they made me very happy this time around. The food was great and the customer service was actually excellent (a significant 180 from the past). Please keep this up. I’m genuinely rooting for y’all (especially during these times). I really want to see y’all succeed and be a thriving part of the community ❤️. I’d say that the only downside with this place is the costs of the food. I have to be honest: The food is ridiculously expensive. In fact, the costs alone make my real review 4 stars rather than 5 stars, but I made it 5 stars to help bring their ratings back up since it looks to me like they’re really doing their best to improve everything. If you haven’t tried them yet, I urge you to do so. And if you were disappointed in the past for whatever reason, please give them another go!

I came for the Rasta Pasta and it was well worth it. My friends got salads and they were piled high. I even had a blood orange pellegrino yummy. It was such a chill relaxed atmosphere with waitresses that want to talk and engage with you. We don't always think that cake is something we need but when it's three layers and strawberry or coconut then YES, PLEASE. We had the dessert first and the dinner second but taste was number 1 all the way around. Go get lost in the menu and eat good while in good company.

Didn't have a great experience. Our order took EXTREMELY long to be prepared and the staff couldn't give us any information regarding the status. I understand not being allowed to cancel once the order is placed, but customers should be given some information once the wait is well outside the window, and that policy should be reconsidered in these circumstances. When the order arrived, most of the food was cold. Sorry, but cold, fried oyster mushrooms just aren't good. Note: this was for a takeout order. People dining in seemed to be enjoying their experience (AND finishing their meals before ours arrived). However, the attitude from the server combined with the cold food just won't allow us to return for the dine-in experience anytime soon.

Visited for the first time (3/4/23). The location is not expected (next to a meat market) and in a plaza that could easily be overlooked. Upon arrival, the staff must have been short because they were a little slow about seating. When a server did arrive to take orders and we alerted of it being our first time, there was not much enthusiasm or energy to welcome us and acclimate us to the experience. The server got really comfortable and sat down to take our orders. He did warn us about the made to order food, so it may be a little slow coming out. We ordered sweet tea, but it was not sweet; it was more of a ginger based tea. There was NO ICE. We drank room temp beverages. The gentleman was polite but seemed to be more enamored with the young ladies dining near us than equitably taking care of all customers. I would definitely return and try again because the food was good (rasta pasta 10/10 recommended). The establishment is very small so it is a limited number of seats and very intimate with other patrons.

While visiting family in Georgia, I finally got a chance to go to the vegan restaurant Life Bistro. Definitely was not disappointed and the food was 🔥🔥🔥. My sister and food buddy got me to try mushrooms and i order it every chance i get at vegan places. 😊 We sampled a few dishes. Mac and cheese was ok but its a dish made so many ways so its a taste buds choice. The fried sampler (mushrooms) platter and Jumbo kale wrap were so good. You will get full. No stingy plates at this place. If you ever in the Atlanta area, you must go and enjoy their food.😋😋😋😋😋😋😋

I’ve only patronized here once and got the seafood Rasta pasta which I ordered online for curbside pick up. The food honestly made me overlook the price and longer-than-quoted preparation time. I wish I could describe just how delicious and flavorful it tastes! The garnish on top really added so much to the flavor. The portion size was decent enough for me to have for two meals. I never knew of this place but plan to come back and try more menu items!

A very different and interesting experience. The food was hot and delicious. It was also flavorful. The rasta pasta was very good and the zucchini fries were really tasty. The collard green were different and I was told that it was due to the spices that they used. They were not your typical collards greens but they were very tasty. I do want to go back and try a few other food items and also the desserts.

First thing first, I’m from Bham and I’ve been just trying to find reasons to get to GA just to try LifeBistro. Boyyyy, am I glad that I did!!! The food was cooked fresh and served hot! I order the oyster mushrooms, Mac n cheese and smoked collards for dine in! Perfection! Order Rasta pasta for later on that night and it was BOMB.com! I shared the pasta with some of my family who aren’t vegan and they loved it as well. Before, I left I persuaded them to come with me and eat before I left to go back home. This time I caught the lunch menu and had the Philly with some more oyster mushrooms, and of course Pasta Rasta to go! That Philly was so darn good 🤤🤤🤤🤤 I’ve been well impressed with LifeBistro and I hope you all that’s looking for some good vegan food will come give them a try. The Grape Electric ( I think that’s the name of the juice) is my fav! Just ask the server for a sample of the juice before you buy!

EV-ERY-THING WE ORDERED WAS 5 STARS! (And we ordered multiple items to try + I don’t give 5 ⭐️s easily) Perfect balance of seasoning ✅ Super friendly customer service ✅ Not too long of a wait time ✅ Relaxing ambiance ✅ Spot-on price points (ingredients are NOT cheap for high-quality vegan/alkaline recipes) ✅ Finally a place we can eat out, with high-end options that’s vegan/alkaline ✅ 🙌🏾 Looks like my husband and I are hooked. This is our new “spot.” Thank you for this restaurant, it’s so hard to find options like yours...it’s an absolute pleasure and blessing to have it. You only really understand that when you eat primarily vegan/alkaline...how much of a come-up this place is. Soooo glad I found it and ordered enough to take home more for dinner + lunch tomorrow. SUPER satisfied.

This place was a great find. I had the Konjac Jerk Shrimp Rasta Pasta and it was perfect. I’ve had the original Rasta pasta (with meat and dairy) and this was just as good. Actually better because I could eat it guilt and gluten free. I will def be back soon.

The staff is professional, efficient and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. So far I’ve had their fried zucchini, their Philly and Rasta pasta. Whoever the chefs are, they have my props. Vegan never means bland at Life Bistro. It’s definitely the place to host a birthday party, networking event or anything medium sized even with COVID. This place is a hidden gem on the south side

When it’s good it’s really good. However, this recent time I went food just seemed rushed. My Containers had holes in it, sweet spicy oysters had no sauce on them, and I barely had any portions it felt more like scarps. Sure it was just an off they though. Keep it up guys.

This place is SO GOOD! Hands down some of the most savory vegan food I’ve ever had. The Rasta Seafood Pasta is phenomenal. My daughter and I visited this restaurant today and we were NOT disappointed. This was our first visit and we enjoyed the food so much. My daughter is a picky eater and she didn't leave ANY of her vegan philly or fries on her plate/basket. My seafood rasta pasta was sooooooo good!😋 Neither of us are vegan, but wanted something differently for lunch. The food didn't even taste like it could be vegan. It was very favorable. I live east of Atlanta (Stone Mtn) and so happy that my drive to Life Bistro was not disappointing. Our server Laila (hope I spelled it right) was such a sweetie. I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer.

Food is tasty service is wonderful only issue for me is they claim to be an alkaline vegan restaurant that follows Dr. Sebi nutritional guide yet they serve black bean, black eye peas and other starch based items that dr. Sebi says are bad for us. They even have cupcakes with soy products in them....

  • 5/5 Shirice L. 3 years ago on Google
By far the best vegan food that I have ever had in my life. Was I even eating vegan? Everything besides the wait for the food was perfect. When we entered, we were immediately acknowledged despite the employees being busy. There was low lighting and chill music playing. Upon informing the servers that it was our first visit, they gave us some of their most popular dishes. They were extremely knowledgeable about the food and process of making the creations. After ordering, it did take better 25-35 minutes to get our food. I was starting to get anxious but I'm so glad we waited. My niece had the Shrimp Alfredo Po' Boy with fries. It did not disappoint. She's a picky teenager and did NOT have any complaints. She even asked to return. My sister did the Nashville Hot Sliders. She was super satisfied. I had the Plant Based Burger with a side of Mac & Cheese. All I can say is WOW! This place is onto something. If you're seeking a good vibe and full stomach, go here. You will not be disappointed.

I love the atmosphere here. Great food, great staff, and awesome energy. I actually found this place on instagram after seeing a post they shared of what APPEARED to be a MASSIVE drippy, delicious chicken sandwich w all the fixings. Check these guys out, you won’t regret it.

We were 1 of 2 patrons dining in and the wait for nachos and fried oysters mushrooms was 40 mins. I could have been eating anything cuz the mushroom app was just a greasy fried mystery. The sauce was good though. My friend disliked the nachos. Said the "cheese" had an overpowering chipotle and nutty flavor. We were going to order entrees but decided that we couldn't wait another 40 minutes or longer. I will say that the pressed drinks were really tasty. My server, Day, was very knowledgeable and nice.

All I can say is wow. Life bistro has it all.The taste of the food alone feels like you're adding more years to your life & your body's thanking you for it. The ambience along with the music makes you feel relaxed as soon as you walk in. Not to mention the Spicy Oyster Mushroom starter along with the Rasta Pasta & Zucchini Fries were well seasoned. Amazing food at a super cute vegan restaurant. Friendly service. Everyone wore masks. As someone from the Augusta area, we seek delicious vegan food wherever we go, and this place hit the spot. Will definitely return if we are back in the area. We ordered the jumbo kale wrap, Philly, and French fries. We also got the cheesecake for dessert and a second one to go. Delicious! Highly recommend

Quite literally the best vegan restaurant I have ever been to. The staff was incredibly nice and respectful. The vibe and music were immaculate. The food was so delicious and flavorful. I got the Alfredo and my friend got the Rasta Pasta. Both of us got zucchini fries and they are the best I’ve ever had. Prince is so energetic and one of the best servers I have had the pleasure to meet. If I could give this restaurant more starts out of 5, I most definitely would. Super super good!

NO... Although it was a cute little black-owned restaurant, the food was TERRIBLE, COLD, and definitely NOT FRESH. We ordered what was considered “a restaurant favorite” but we couldn’t even stomach through the appetizers. Tried to only pay for the the food we touch but insisted we pay for everything and left no room for compromise. Definitely WILL NOT be returning. If I could I would rate lower than 1 star.

The food here is DELICIOUS. I have been here several times and suggest this place to loved ones often. This is still a young & burgeoning restaurant; I believe once they build a more solid staff & business regime, they can eliminate some of the kinks concerning customer service and interacyopn. This is an overall great place to go, I wish them much success.

  • 3/5 Kim D. 3 years ago on Google
This is my 2nd time eating here i always get the Rasta Pasta delicious my issue is add more of the konjac/shrimp i had to pay extra $5 to get enough. Too much pasta not enough konjac. Other issue i tried Zucchini fries wayyyy too much breading started crumbling so I peeled it off just a suggestion leave the skin on Zucchini and pan sear with no breading will be much better or if you gonna use breading not a lot. Also the Rastaa pasta was a lil dry so I asked for more of the cream sauce the girl said $1 for a mini cup that you put ketchup in. My suggestion give at least two sauce for that huge pasta then charge extra it's $16 give customers their money worth. I am real serious about customer service it was very minimal for me especially cashier and some guy who had his pants down with weapon showing that's not acceptable to customers be more presentable it's a business establishment. The waitress was very helpful and we wasn't eating in. The cashier said our wait would be 20 minutes and it was almost an hour. 1st off be upfront with your customers be honest. I don't mind waiting for good food but don't tell me a time and that's not what it's gonna be 🤔 I'm all for supporting black owned businesses but you have to have great customer service, personable with customers and if you gonna charge high prices please give me money's worth. Hmmm kay 😀. I probably will definitely visit again but please take into consideration of your customers feedback to better your business. Put your customers 1st you will definitely excel. I appreciate the good veagan food 😋 also to add me and my son noticed a kind of stand offish vibe with cashier and other worker. My son was chatting being funny and they all tight and serious. Loosen up show some 😃 laugh and little just another observation.

Went to Life Bistro today 2/6 and I really enjoyed. Life Bistro has a nice ambiance from the decor to music. My waitress was pleasant, knowledgeable, and great timing checking in on us. I ordered the Vegan Philly and the Konjac Shrimp Alfredo Po'boy with a side of kale along with cucumber punch! I just want to say very tasty! The flavors of the Po'boy was on point, the bread is nice and soft, and came with the konjac root shrimp with purple cabbage. The Philly comes with mushrooms and overall great flavors and fulfilling! The food was good but the waitress we had was not good. DAZ was her name on the receipt. She was pretty rude and unhelpful. She would go to other employees to talk about customers. Is the fryer really broken? Whenever I order online it’s no problem but when I go to the restaurant it takes much longer to get food. Other than that the food and environment were dope.

This review is based on my DoorDash vs in person experience. I ordered the jumbo kale on door dash on 1/15/21 for $19 and was surprised when I received this tiny wrap. After reviewing their menu online, I decided to go in person on 2/19/21 where I found that it was an entirely different, larger wrap that I received priced at only $15 in store. I’m very disappointed because it seems like you’re getting over on your door dash customers. Charging insane prices and sending them the wrong item.

So this was my first time at Life Bistro. First I enjoy supporting black businesses & let me tell you honey this was well worth it! I ordered the Seafood Rasta Pasta & it was to live for. It’s great if you enjoy spice & creole flavor. I was so taken back by the ambiance of this place I forgot to order gluten free. The music was beautiful, light and soulful old school. The servers and staff were professional. They did get a little busy and there was one server, but she handled herself well, tending to all 7 tables times and respectfully. Plus, the staff came around and checked on me & everyone else. -A Filled Pregnant Woman

Drove 7 hours to patronize this establishment. Oyster mushrooms and zucchini fries was not seasoned very well, greasy and cold. Service was slow. The greens were pretty good and the rasta pasta was AMAZING! I was ok paying the price tag for the grade of food I was to receive but the portion sizes made it not worth it at all. I would definitely go back just for the rasta pasta....IT was really that spactacular

I am always excited to try food establishments when I am in a new area and this was no exception. I ordered take-out via their online ordering system - and was told to be at the restaurant for pickup at a certain time. When I got to the restaurant, there was no host to greet, or ask where the food pick up was. I was able to look around and see the area in the back where it looked like food was prepared and packaged. My order was ready - in two packages, but I was only handed one, and had to return to the restaurant when I realised that I did not have all my food. The food itself was OK - I ordered the Rasta pasta, a veggie plate with mac n cheese, black eyed peas and collard greens as well as the friend oyster mushrooms. The pasta was very tasty, the veggies on the veggie plate were salty, and the fried oysters were ok. I was most disappointed by the portion size. For the price of these items, I would have expected a bit more, but with the veggies being as over salted as they were it was probably for the best. Not sure if a dine-in experience would have been better, but I am willing to try again once it is safer

I eat here very frequently, the food is amazing, however I’ve noticed each time we get the Alfredo Po Boy the sandwiches get skimpier and skimpier and for the price of the sandwich this is very upsetting and will be the reason my family and I stop coming. We spend WELL over $100 EACH time we come (multiple times in a week for the most part), I go out of my way to support black businesses, as I am a black business owner myself... we do not live in the area but commute a distance to support. We were excited to bring my mother in love here, who is not vegan but trusts my judgement and she was absolutely disappointed to open the box to see what she called a “sample, that would leave her teased and unsatisfied.”

This was our first time visiting. The food was pretty good once we finally got it. I'm not sure if this was just an off night but things seemed to be disorganized. Part 2 from Alumine L.: Terrible!! Please don't go. We were done. We wanted to leave. they offered us to-go box, we said yes at the beginning because we felt guilty, we didn't like the food, but we're not going to eat at home, so why pay for it. We declined the to-go, we went to the register to pay. We told the mask-less waitress that we were just paying for the nachos and leave. Everything was on the bill, ethically we should have not paid for anything, but whatever, we ate the starter. Of course, it was an inconvenience for her, but we didn't care. We already had stomach pain from the chips. Thankfully, she didn’t put up an argument about it. Not to mention that the table of 4 next to us, left due to the wait. We understand that if the food is bad and the service is good, we might recommend it still, but both are terrible. The bar was unpresentable for anyone to eat, no social distancing, not silverware to eat. The facility was terrible, the bathroom was built by someone that had no idea about construction, and that is ok, but at least clean it, because also it looks like no one has done anything in there in the past 2 months. The bathroom stall open from both sides, so after I locked it from the inside, I opened it by using my feet and pull the door, this said anyone can open it from the other side just by pushing. So good luck! I have years in hospitality and in culinary, so going to places like this makes me feel so bad that I want to help. So please hire better management and get someone to fix the recipes, clean the bathroom and train the staff, and maybe hire someone to take care of the phone and cashier so the wait staff doesn’t have to do it. I wish I could have seen the kitchen, but that probably wouldn’t be good at all. If you made it this far reading! Thank you…. I am sorry we felt that way in this place, we really wanted it to work out, like it, and leave a good review so good plant-based restaurants do not go out of business. But things need to change.

  • 1/5 Aluminé L. 3 years ago on Google
Part 1 - Terrible!!! Please do not GO! We arrive at 3:15, (there was no social distance between tables, and they were full) they gave us a seat at the bar. The person that helped us recommended everything on the menu and disappeared. We just started with 2 glasses of water. 1 was dirty, super dirty, so I put it aside, and ended up drinking from 1 as no one came to check on us, neither to refill the glass, I had to stand up to get the water pitcher, all the way to the end of the bar, to find out it was empty. First of all, the waitress was pulling the mask down all the time and talking right into our faces. We did not take ours off, thankfully. To start we ordered the nachos (chilaquiles) with chimichurri on the side, and a coffee. After waiting for a while, the plate came in and the coffee didn't, so I canceled it. The waitress got offended because I canceled it, and without saying too much I told her the food was already there so I didn't want it anymore, but I was frustrated about the water and the glass, and to top it off, one of the plates they brought for us to use to share, had a huge chip on the side. Silverware or cutlery was not brought in with the food, I understand that people usually eat chips with their hands, but it would have been nice to have something to eat them with. Food: the nachos came in already cold most likely because we waited for it 30 minutes: they were deep fried 5 times or they haven't changed oil in 2 month. We ate a few because we were hungry, but a little disgusted about the amount of oil on the chips, the chimichurri was missing, I tried to eat the topping only, so I asked some cutlery/silverware and it looked like I was ordering a piece of meat, the waitress said she didn't have any rolled up so she could bring me the plastic to go ones, I probably didn't express myself well, but I meant to tell her to not worry to roll them, just bring me one, but instead she brought the plastic ones that I declined. I told her that eventually with the meal they were going to bring me some. The entrees we ordered was the pesto fettuccini (as it was the only non-spicy meal on the menu) and the Rasta pasta with zucchini fries, mac and cheese and the collard greens. We finally got our forks a little before our plates came in, clearly it looks like my request was an inconvenience, because she had to clean and roll them to give them to us. I tried to eat the topping of the tortilla chips but it was way too cold, so I waited for the main. My plate was the pesto pasta; a bowl full of fettuccini with the sauce like a soup on top and a huge spoon of super dark pesto covering 2 slices of Portobello. I removed most of the pesto to eat just the mushroom first as I love it, but in the last bite there was some of the alfredo in it, IT WAS SOO SPICY that I couldn't eat anymore. We informed the waitress and she said yes, it is spicy, but why was not on the menu? and how do you manage to ruin the most simple pasta plate in the world? Honestly, it was impossible to eat, there was no chance I could try my partner plate as she already has a spicy one, that she didn't like at all, everything was floating on oil. I decided to go for the zucchini fries, let me tell you... they should be called deep fried zucchini, so you know that they look more like a fried chicken than a French fry, it was a flavorless dark dough around sticks of zucchini, with the same disgusting taste as the tortillas. I didn't want to eat anything anymore, after that, I tried the greens and the mac and cheese, but it was enough for me. The waitress offered to change the plate but after waiting for more than 50 minutes for 2 mains, that we didn't like, there was no option that we were going to get anything else.

My husband took me on a date here last night, our meal turned out great! The place itself has a cute, little vibe to it and they play some good modern, music over a candle-lit dinner. We ordered the fried portobello bites with lemon pepper seasoning, and Buffalo sauce on the side. They were the right amount of juicy + crispy. We also ordered the Rasta Pasta that was 10/10, the Pesto Fettuccine which was also 10/10 and the Strawberry Lime Ginger Pressed Juice which was really good but we felt was slightly overpriced. The food portions for the price are exceptional however. The only complaint we had was that the restrooms could use a cleaning/updating. We love that this place offers a good variety of health-conscious foods in an enjoyable setting. With just a few minor tweaks this place could go from good to great!

I took my mom for her birthday and she enjoyed everything. She had the Rasta pasta and Mac n cheese and she loved it. Oh and the tea is amazing. Thank you life bistro for giving us a great experience.

Absolutely delicious. The “fettuccini” was amazing. My critiques would be service and wait time for the food, however I did come on a Saturday afternoon. The greens were also super salty.

Service was a little slow but understandable, the food was absolutely incredible, all 8 of us thought our meals were incredible, definitely worth the price and worth the wait.

I’m not a Vegan, however, I love good food! The Beginning: Doing our normal FriendDateDay, Jan chose this establishment for our new find. As always, I was down for something new. Upon pulling up, please DO NOT judge a book by its cover. The inside is very clean, pretty, and has a great ambiance. The color esthetic is melanin focused with earth brown as a primary and really sets a soothing tone. Upon seating ourselves, our waitress was at the table within seconds. She arrived with a warm smile and pleasant greetings. She presented us with the menu and presented us with some of the food highlights. The Food: I decided on the Jumbo Kale Wrap with Fries. First off, hear me clearly when I say WOWSERS. I don’t know who their fry cook is, but babeeeeeeeeeee….. The way them French fries were perfectly fried and seasoned. Oh yes Hunni! You know I loves me a good fry. This fry was from French Fry Dreamland and was kissed by the seasoned Gawz. If you are into fries, get you an order… Ok! Now that I have made myself hungry, let’s talk the Jumbo Kale Wrap. 3 words: Fresh. Flavorful. Filling. It checked all 3 boxes and I loved it. The dressing that is drizzled on it adds a hint of tang and a splash of creamy, don’t tell them I told you but ask for a bit on the side to dip the wrap in. It is amazing. I must admit, this was a very pleasing experience. I will definitely be back again to partake in more of the menu offerings. Service- 9/10 Food- 10/10 Environment- 10/10

3/2022: Visited on a Wednesday afternoon for lunch with a friend and the food has definitely improved. I ordered the po boy with oyster mushrooms and a side of creole mac and cheese. My friend ordered the sweet and spicy fried oyster mushrooms with a side of zucchini fries. I would have preferred the bread of the po boy to have been toasted. Also the sweet and spicy mushrooms weren't very spicy, but they were seasoned and cooked well. The mac and cheese didn't give a creole vibe but it tasted a lot better than the first time I had it a couple years ago and we enjoyed it. I enjoyed the zucchini fries and I didn't think they needed the sauce provided. All in all I throughly enjoyed the food. Oh, and everything was vegan! Our food took quite some time getting to us. We were the only table, but it looked like they were getting quite a few to go orders. Our server was nice and made sure to check in on us. Definitely give them a try! 2020 review: It can be a challenge to find good vegan food but I've heard about this place and decided to give them a try. Plus they're black owned. I tried to order online but for some reason it wouldn't accept my email. I called, explained my issue, and Jackie went ahead and took my order. She was pleasant and even called to let me know my food was ready, which was about 15 minutes. We pulled up and Jackie brought our food out to the car. I ordered the oyster po'boy with zucchini fries. My friend got the rasta pasta with mac and cheese. I thoroughly enjoyed my po'boy with the zucchini fries, which were thicker than I expected them to be. The po'boy came with a sauce, which was probably nut based but I wasn't a fan so I added sriracha. The oyster mushrooms were perfectly fried with a nice crunch. My friend wasn't as pleased with his pasta, I thought it just needed a little more seasoning. His mac was also not that great but that was probably on us bc we forgot it was vegan so our hopes were high. I would probably go back and try something different.

I could not believe this was all vegan!!! The Rasta pasta with portobello steak added is so GOOD! I couldn’t even finish my plate because they give you enough food to have more than enough for later. I’m just literally waiting to feel hungry so I can devour it. I’m new to vegan food but this has me super excited to start this new lifestyle.

Calm, Comfy and Healthy. Umm I absolutely love this place. The food is to die for. Packed with so much flavor in every bite. Live music, nice dem lighting, savory food, perfect paired wines and so much more. My kind of candlelight dinner. 😋🥗

This was hands down one of the best meals I have ever had, and I don’t say that lightly. This food is absolutely delicious and if you’re in Atlanta visiting, don’t make the mistake I did, make this the *first* place you go and not the last! I wish I had more days in my trip so I could eat more of the food! We got the sweet and spicy oyster mushrooms, seafood gumbo, Rasta Pasta, and the grilled oyster mushroom carbonara. Everything was AMAZING!

Long Review! I would have loved to leave 5 stars as a first timer at Life Bistro but I like to feel taken care of vs. taken advantage of. First, I was excited to find a vegan spot in the East Point area only 8 minutes from my home. The restaurant is cute with nice decor, customer service was inviting but I believe the label “fine dining” is kind of a reach. Second, I chose the Jumbo Kale Wrap over the Black Bean Chilaquiles that I was originally going to get because the employee told me “the wrap is big and half of it will fill you up”. Yall there is NOTHING jumbo about the Jumbo Kale Wrap & it’s definitely not worth $18 when you have other black businesses selling half wraps for $15 that are about the same size or bigger than this “jumbo” wrap imo. She also shouldn’t be telling people that a half wrap can fill you up, its a misleading sales point. The zucchini fries are mediocre good but I believe they need different packaging; the fries get soggy REAL fast in the to-go packaging. I saved half my wrap & went back up to the store to confirm if this was the jumbo wrap & in hopes to talk things out vs. leaving a bad review. After expressing my dislikes I was only granted the zucchini fries remake and they seemed to be fried harder this time but were still soggy by the time I reached home (which is less than 10 mins away). I feel like I deserved a free or discounted meal for my extended grace but whatever. Lastly, to add insult to injury the wait was a little long and the restaurant wasn’t busy and I was handed the wrong food at first. Checked food when I got to the car and DECIDED to bring the food back instead of driving off and making them remake food. I will give them another try for the sake of other reviews on how good the food is, and this being a black owned business. Don’t disappoint me next time, Life Bistro. Treat guests well so they will return!

The absolute best vegan restaurant I've been to. The portions were filling. The food was seasoned well. The area is sketchy but don't let that discourage you from going because the food was fire. I'm going to say its some of the best food I've had in general because many restaurants that charge a lot do not give what you pay for. Your plate is full here for around $19-25 average for an entree.

😠 DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Terrible service! The server cannot remember what you ordered…it cannot be that hard to write it down. Friends waited for (Hennessy) drinks…at the same table for an hour and 15min. It took the bartender 3 tries….It took over an hour to get food even with a reservation. YOU CAN...
