We ordered the Falafel sandwich and the Classic sandwich both with feta added to the sandwiches a side of fries. The feta came in huge fresh chunks and the fries are always seasoned so well. The garlic sauce is to die for and goes well with the fries and the pita.

First of all, the food was HORRIBLE! we ordered gyro, the meat was cold super cold , and it has no taste like hand soap . We asked them to replace it with chicken. Instead, it has too much salad and 2 small pieces of chicken. It was even worse . Also, after I went there I got sick . Remarks : I'm from New york, and this place has nothing to do with mamouns nyc when it comes to taste and quality . Place not recommended for ppl that want to enjoy a real shawarma... don't let the use of the name fool you. It may look good at the pictures, but it was horrible

Very good falafel sandwich, I like to get the East village pita sandwich with fries. The hot sauce is beyond spicy. I like to mix the tea with lemonade, or tamarind juice at the Philadelphia location. Nice manager.

Having eaten at many falafel restaurants, I must say that this place was very disappointing. The falafel were small and the rest of the platter was just average. The worse thing was the lentil soup. It was bland and just awful.

Nice area to eat outside. Fresh delicious food. I paid for feta cheese, which was worth it. Plenty of food for a plate. Hummus with pita appetizer -medium is a great amount even for three people.

We've been dreaming of Mamoun's since we moved from Jersey and we were not disappointed! The shawarma is delicious! Dare I say better than NJ...oh boy...lol. So happy to have Mamoun's near us again!

Definitely one of the top falafel places in Atlanta. This NY based chain provides a plenty of great options for falafel sandwiches and plates. My personal favorite is the Manhattan sandwich. The sides (grape leaves, baba ganouj, fries etc) are all great additions to the meal. There is seating both inside and outside and you pick up your food after your number is called. Overall, recommend trying if you are a fan of falafel!

If you are in the downtown area, do visit Mamoun's Falafel (Atlanta, GA). The meat is halal and the halal label is shown on the menu as well. Ordered Lamb shawarma and chicken sandwich. The taste was pretty good ( just had to add hot sauce as I like food on the spicier side) and the restaurant was kept clean ( which I know how all restaurants should be, but sometimes some halal restaurants fall short on this aspect) Would definitely go there again. Decent Falafel wrap and welcoming staff. The store is neat and tidy. Their hot sauce and tahini are not the best. Solid option for having a lunch if you are located in the midtown area.

I would never suggest it to anyone. Portions are small, not even comparable to NY standards. Burnt meat and chefs are not seasoning meat properly. I would not come back here ever. Waste of 60 bucks for 3 shawarmas and drinks.

Worst middle eastern food I had in my life! Ordered shawerma plate, got a tiny bowl with salty gyro meat. If u know what middle eastern food is, don't think about eating at this place at all. I was fooled by the 5 starts reviews, unfortunately.

Been here three times. One time was good, the other two just gross. My latest visit I got a steak sandwich that contained 2 small chunks of steak that were burnt to a crisp and some lettuce. Definitely not worth the price. If they could get their food more consistent, it'd be a great place to grab lunch. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be going back. Edit: Changing to 1 star... They replied back and asked me to email them but never responded back to the email with even a "Hey, sorry this happened, sharing with the manager." What was even the point?

I tried Mamoun’s for the first time and I had high expectations. I tried the chicken kabob sandwich…which was kind of small for the price. Nevertheless, the chicken was very flavorful. I was enjoying it until I got towards the end, which was just full of onions and tomatoes, no chicken. This was disappointing because I was unable to finish it.

One of the best new restaurants in Atlanta. Excellent customer service, friendly staff and very clean restaurant. Portion sizes for food are just right and prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Quality and seasoning of meat (I had the chicken) is excellent.

I decided to try this place today because I just moved and my beloved Halal Guys is no longer within quick walking distance, but I liked it hear just as much if not better! I've only had the falafel sandwich so far and it was absolutely delicious. The sauces are amazing as well, I'd definitely recommend trying the garlic and hot sauces as sides, as they're more the worth the little extra you pay. Price-wise it's about on par with the rest of the restaurants in the vicinity it seems, but coming from the heart of midtown an $8-9 meal feels like a dream to me, and if you don't order a lot of extra sauce it'll be even less than that.

This place took me back more than 20 years to Greenwich village in NYC original mamoun felafel spot. So many memories with family and friends eating our favorite shawerma and drinking our favorite mango and mint juice. The taste was pretty similar but they have expanded their menu which is what I guess people look for nowadays. Also just chicken is halal not the beef.

First time trying this place. Got the combination plate and was actually quite disappointed. First - there were only 3 pieces of falafel and the ones that were there seemed like half pieces (see photo). The falafel and rice flavor was good. However, the baba Ghanoush and hummus was really sub par. I couldn’t even taste the eggplant in the baba. Packaging was also unsatisfactory - tahini sauce was poured onto the middle along with the rice and other items.

Maybe it was an off day but food was very disappointing. Got the chicken plate, Sullivan and Macdougal sandwiches. Chicken on the plate was half cooked and very rubbery. Rice was stale. Salad was mostly lettuce. That’s after paying an extra $1 to get both sides. Sullivan sandwich barely had 2-3 chicken cubes and it was stuffed with tabbouleh. Macdougal was a cold sandwich which is unfortunate because the lamb should be warm. Won’t be back and do not recommend for the cost.

The falafel here was amazing as one would hope! A nice place to get a quick bite that is tasty and not too greasy. Also tried the lamb schawarma which was very tasty. Make sure you get to something with the babaganouj, as it is not too eggplant-y and I really enjoyed it!

I've been here 3 times since we've been in Atlanta and this location never misses. Every time the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. We always order an East or West Village fries and a drink. I do recommend the Mango drink.

On 02/25/2023 my friend and I went to this restaurant for the first time. The food was good but the hot sauce was old and moldy. The server apologized and gave us new sauces after we already ate some. The next morning I’ve been nauseous and had diarrhea due to food poisoning. Management should pay more attention to this.

It's not yet 830 and my spouse and I are finishing our meal. The chairs were flipped when we arrived at 8. The staff began mopping as we sat down. They brought us our food to go and never gave us the option to stay. We did stay. We were able to enjoy the scent of the mop water as the staff person bumped my spouse's chair. Pro tip - sit down for lunch, take out for dinner. Unless you enjoy tense situations in which case, go for it and let me know how it goes!

I was so livid when I received my order. The Sharmawav sandwich was terrible. The pita bread was very dry, the chicken was tasteless and it was not appetizing. The falafels were burnt! They were not even edible. There are better restaurants that make Mediterranean food. I do not recommend this establishment at all!

Was driving by and I saw them from the street, so I decided to try them, as I love some good falafel. I saw that they are a chain originally out of NY. The place is a nice quaint space, very clean. I got the McDougal sandwich, which was shawarma and falafel, off of the Signature Menu to try. It was a good size, and had good flavor. The falafel had a nice crunch to it. I'll definitely be back for more.

The best authentic shawerma in metro Atlanta, without a doubt. Sandwich is full of meat. Falafel is good too, but not as good as the shawerma. I recommend this place. A+++++++++

The falafel sandwich was so 🔥🔥🔥! I loved it! I was worried it wouldn’t hold up as a delivery order but it exceeded my expectations! I ordered hot sauce and garlic sauce on the side as per recommendation. I was also surprised how hot the hot sauce was but I enjoy spicy! Keep up the good work! Best falafel I’ve had thus far. I also enjoyed the Baba ghanouj. I look forward to ordering in the future and trying out the grape leaves!

Always great food at Mamoun's, I go often enough that the rewards are a nice bonus. Love the fries and always get the classic falafel sandwich, and if you like spicy, their hot sauce is top notch.

Great QSR in West Midtown near Georgia Tech. Falafel -- fresh, green and light is amazing. Sandwiches and plates are large servings. Being inexpensive, casual, and having a friendly staff make Mamoun's greater than the sum of its parts.

Amazing falafels!! They were perfectly crispy and not dried out. I got a platter with falafel, hummus, and baba ghanoush with a rice base for $11, and it was a ton of food. I also got a side of falafels and hummus and pita. They give great portions of the sides as well. I am definitely going to go back especially for the falafels!

I ordered through Uber eats. By the time I got the food it was cold.(it might be bc I got it delivered. I don’t want to blame it on the restaurant) I’m middle eastern and I love middle eastern food but this is probably the worst I’ve tasted unfortunately. I got a chicken kabab wrap and it was probably the most decent. It tasted ok the portion was tiny. Then the mango juice had one huge piece of ice and didn’t taste that good. The lentil soup was not very authentic and didn’t taste good. I’ve made lentil soup many different ways and this one I’ve never seen before. Honestly when I opened it I thought it was chicken noodle soup and they made a mistake. I also got a beef shawarma platter and it didn’t taste good. They give tahini sauce and I don’t even like tahini. Also I put utensils and I didn’t get any. Luckily I have some in the hotel. What if I didn’t ? I had to write bad reviews but the food was not it.

I don't understand why they make the sandwich this way! They stuff all green first, then meat later. So u ended up eating bread and meat first, then bread and lettuce later. Nonetheless, meat is tasty!

Can’t believe I got to try the famous Mamoun’s right up the street! I was relatively satisfied - the falafel is SO good and is crunchy on the outside, savory and soft on the inside. Their food packs a lot of flavor. To put it simply: This is the Chipotle of mediterranean bowls and I would say that’s a good thing depending on who you’re asking. The pickled veggies are...not great, but they add contrast. The meat is fresh and the lamb is Not gyro style so that means it’s packing flavor! The tabouli is heavy on the couscous - not a fan of that, personally. The grape leaves are worth it. Their portions could be larger but I left full enough. Ask for a side of tahini and TWO chili sauces - thank me later. All that said... there are much better local options for authentic, cost effective, Mediterranean in our city. But I like the convenience. Remember: the falafel is the shining star here so I’d say it’s worth a try.

Ever since this place opened up, we like this place! We had it when we were in NYC and are so happy to see a location in ATL. The only critique is to have a bit more consistency in your offering and service.

So delicious! Probably the best hummus I’ve had in the U.S! The star of the show is the falafel.. very well done. Service was great, very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and well maintained.

I found this place online, in the area with a taste for falafel. It advertised online ordering through Postmates for which I could pick up. I happily paid $25 for a sandwich, fries and a drink, per what was priced online. I get to the store to pick it up and the meal is nearly half what I paid. When I raised it, they blamed Postmates and said they'd asked them to correct the pricing several times. Sorry is all they offered and it wasn't enough.

  • 2/5 Saad H. 3 years ago on Google
I ordered the Macdougal Sandwich and was given zero lamb meat. They offered me a new sandwich but I made a long commute to the restaurant and my expectation was that they would get the order right. By the looks of the reviews this has happened on other orders as well. They need to iron out their line chef training procedures before I would give them another go.

The closest to authentic Middle-Eastern / North African food I've had States-side. Not much else to say, other than: GET THE LEMONADE!

  • 4/5 Kristy K. 3 years ago on Google
Delicious meal! We received the wrong order but were still happy with the food we got (shawarma instead of falafel for one meal). Their hot sauce is fire and the garlic sauce is a must. The falafel was burnt which is why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. I think the falafel would’ve been amazing if it hadn’t been cooked so long. Great carry out meal overall and I’ll definitely be back.

I ordered a classic sandwhich which has hummus on it. everything is vegan I ordered with no substitutes. my mom ordered a Manhattan sandwhich. both have falafel. very good. the lady at the front was very friendly and patient with us. the place is very clean and cute. the hot sauce that they give is very spicy, literally a little goes a long way.

One of my favorite spots for a falafel sandwich in Atlanta! Out of all the falafel's I've given a try in the city, this is one of the most authentic and close to home. TIP: Add pickles and turnips to have a more traditional experience! The staff here is very friendly and knowledgable on the selection of food and drinks. The bread is amazing, I literally always get an extra bag of the bread just to have at home because it's way more authentic and better tasting than any grocery store bought pita/Arabic bread. I would highly recommend the shawarma plate and the classic falafel sandwich, both of these that I've tried multiple times and sometimes have a hard time choosing between when ordering! My only disappointment, hence the 4-stars, was the tabbouleh, which seemed to focus a LOT on the bulgur rather than the parsley, which should be the main ingredient in a tabbouleh salad. Not a deal breaker, but definitely something I would recommend updating or notifying the staff. The baklava is ok, a little too sweet compared to the traditional recipes.

Love the food but the service is so inconsistent. Stopped in on a Saturday at lunchtime. I was the only one in the place. Ordered the West Village which has, like, 5 ingredients. When I got home and unwrapped it - no pickles and double the usual amount of onion. How can you forget 1 of 5 ingredients?! Last time I was there, I asked for hot sauce and they left it off. Also, the toilet was not working. I think this might be my last visit - consistency is important and I feel like they used to do a better job. Back to Tannour Grill I go.
