I visited Vatica that serves a variety of dishes, but I go there specifically for the Indian thali. The thali is really good, it comes with puri, three sabzis, dal soup, rice, papad, raita, kheer, and one appetizer. The best part is that it is an unlimited thali and I love to eat them. The restaurant has a very homely feel to it, the staff is really nice and the ambiance is not super fancy but it is clean with lot of seating. It's important to note that my review is based solely on the thali as that is my regular order when I visit this restaurant. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a satisfying and delicious Indian thali. The food is authentic, the service is friendly and the ambiance is cozy, it feels like home.

Delicious Indian food with a great selection for VEGAN customers. We visited on a Saturday, about an hour before they closed. Very friendly service, very clean restrooms. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

My wife swears by this place. So they finally opened back up after the heft of the pandemic, and we of course went. She has the lamb tikka masala and I opted for the Tandoori Shrimp. The skillet came out sizzling. Combined with rice, and a bit of garlic naan, who could ask for better? So while we were there, a lady came in and sat and ordered. Her skillet came out smoking. About 3 seconds later, my wife's eyes and my eyes started watering. Apparently the lady's plate was wicked spicy. 😂 I'm a wuss when it comes to spice. Just thought you'd enjoy the story. This is probably our GoTo for Indian Cuisine.

Overall, appetizer sampler was good and pretty fulfilling honestly. The chicken was a little dry but flavorful and the rest was very delicious. Our main course was the karahi lamb and bread basket. The lamb was very tender, we got medium heat which was perfect for my spice tolerance but might be a bit spicy to most people - pretty authentic Indian spice. Getting no spice is already flavorful in itself for beginners. The naan bread basket came in garlic, regular and wheat. It was good especially dipping it into the curry. Rice was well cooked and not dry. Pricing was fair for the amount that was given, we took home quite a bit of leftovers. Mango Lassi - mango / sweet / salty drink that contrasted well with the spicy food Would definitely go again and try the thali next time!

Vatica is good in case of location and variety of food. Initially it was a vegetarian restaurant and started with veg thali unlimited. Where in you can eat the meal unlimited and they refill it hot. Thali food is simple and no spice kind of food yet good. But now they offer variety of dishes including non veg and alcoholic beverages. Few non veg dishes are delicious but bit price. They need to work on their look and feel of the restaurant, make it bit modern and happening. It feels so dull by the kind of music you play, even in India nobody watches and listen to those unpopular and old songs. Service is bit slow even when there ain’t anyone. Staff is good, and owner is really welcoming and nice person. Food is all good and tasty.

The chicken tandoori was good and the peshwari Naan was excellent. The other dishes were a bit spicy, but overall good food and service.

Ordered Chicken Curry/Fish Biryani/Veg Pakora from this place. Every single of them is the WORST I had at an Indian restaurant in Atlanta. Fish was hard as rock, Biryani tasted like they just mixed curry with rice after cooking them separately. Chicken was large chunks and hard ( at least not as hard as fish). Pakora was in large chunks and under cooked. I used to eat vegetarian food for lunch here, which was good, so figured they would bring similar quality to meat dishes as well. I haven't been here in almost couple of years. So I was excited to order from here. Boy, was I wrong! I am just disappointed that even Pakora which was a veggie that bad. Never ordering from this place EVER AGAIN!

I don't often give 5 stars, but I very much enjoyed my experience here. I was super happy to see a full page of vegetarian options, the customer service was friendly and exceptional, and the food was delicious. I will definitely be back.

The food can’t get more delicious and authentic than this! The chef does a great job greeting the customers and the portions are generous. Make sure you indicate how spicy you want your food! Will definitely come back again. Best Indian food in the area.

I went to Vatica with my team and it was their first time trying out Indian food. Service was great and the staff member was attentive to everyone who was in the restaurant. They provided ample amount of food so that was a plus. However the Chicken Tikka and Paneer Tikka was very sweet. I was not a big fan of that, but I will give this place a thumbs up for Service.

Great quality food made under direct supervision of owners. Food is really hygienic, cleanliness in kitchen as well as seating area, etc. is excellent. Has wheelchair accessible parking with wheelchair accessible entrance too. One can get different varieties of Indian food and even suitable for Vegans too. One can even have ready-made snacks like Ganthiya, Papadi, Sev, Chevdo, etc. Also can order dry Rice Papadi too. Rates of food are very economical. One can get full satisfaction of eating food here as ambience of the place is equally good. One must give try to this food.

Went with a friend the other night. We weren't real hungry so we split the Clay Pot (Tandoor) Special Sizzler entree and an order of garlic naan bread. It was enough for both of us and even had a small amount of leftovers to bring home! I can't do spicy and this dish was just right and very flavorful. Will definitely come back again when I am back in town. Restaurant wasn't real crowded so it made it easy to be able to hear each other and have a nice conversation over dinner.

At this point I do not eat Indian food anywhere else locally. Their flavors are so bold and rich and the service is so good. Their Tikka masala is just different l and I can't quite identify why. I also like how spicy they do or don't make the food. If you order it mild, it's mild. Order it spicy at your own risk/pleasure.

This place has become a favorite for my daughter who has been vegan for a several years now. She's been looking for more vegan restaurants with foods that she likes. She's always sending me here to pick up food. If it weren't for the pandemic, the staff would probably know me by name by now... LOL.

My husband and I have eaten at several Indian restaurants in Marietta; this is hands down THE BEST! We ordered the samosas, naan, lamb biryani and tandoori chicken. The flavors were amazing in everything! Our waiter was very friendly and attentive.

I was the last person that made it here for the dinner. The waiter was patient enough and got us a unlimited (all you can eat) vegetable thali plate dinner ( Indian style full meals -South Indian look alike). Although it was closing time for them they waited until we asked for seconds for some appetizers which they served hot with extra rice. The food was above average but they definitely are striving to be the best!

I had their curry lamb, and the lamb was not good at all. It was hard and tough like it was not cooked good. I don’t think I will eat their curry lamb. I also don’t like curry, I wished that they had it without curry, but having it cooked a lot better as well. The butter chicken was better than the curry lamb.

Loved the Kadhi, Saag paneer, and Samosas. However, the Lachcha paratha was a disaster, it felt like I was chewing a piece of cardboard.

Amazing first experience at Vatica! I got the chai and saag paneer (medium spice) and it was definitely one of the better ones i’ve had, very flavorful and good spice level. My boyfriend got the chicken jalfrezi and he really enjoyed it. We also got a bullet naan to share and they really don’t skimp you on the green chilies! We had plenty of leftovers at the end, the portion sizes are very generous. The staff is incredibly welcome and attentive, and the place as a whole was really clean and had a great chill vibe. Will be back!

I have been coming here for the last 7 months and I have thoroughly enjoyed every meal - paired with one of the most refreshing mango lassis I've tasted. The portions and the pricing are inarguably the best for Indian cuisine in the Atlanta area. I know I already said the mango lassi was the best ever ... well so is the roti. My partner also really enjoys the paneer kulcha (naan with paneer baked inside)! I also must say the saag paneer would be the best - however sometimes I wish they put more paneer in the sauce. Overall a truly stellar spot that I can count on for a quick pick-me-up. One meal from Vatica really makes my week!! Huge huge fan.

We ordered two trays of mutter paneer and kadai chicken of each for a birthday party. All of my guests really liked both dishes and said the food was very tasty. Owner/staff was really friendly and seemed to focus on food quality and caring of customer’s needs. We will be coming back again. Thank you for the fresh and tasty food.

Have been going here for years. Food is outstanding and so is the service. Have never had a bad dish. I’ve eaten at a ton of different Indian restaurants over the years but this is the best hands down.

  • 5/5 Kelley W. 1 year ago on Google
Wow. The flavors here were phenomenal. The spice was on point. Normally when I order HOT, it's nothing close to it. This was excellent! The pani puri was great and loved that the person who brought it to our table told us how this is commonly served as a street food and how to eat/enjoy it. The chicken tikka masala and the chicken vindaloo were bursting with very different flavors that were so. incredibly. delicious. And the bullet naan...my mouth has been watering for more. I will most definitely be going back for more of their food. Most excellent food AND service!@

Exactly what I’ve been looking for! I’ve been trying to find a chicken tikka masala that tasted similar to the one I fell in love with back home. This was it and you’ve got a new regular now.

For an Indian, this place would be a let down, 😑 The Biryani served is not a biryani, Pakora is not pakora nor the Chilli chicken! not at all authentic and completely westernized! Don’t go with the pictures.

Had the Paneer Tikka Marsala mild and garlic Nan. 😋 they were delicious. Garlic Nan was fantastic. Service was attentive and friendly. I'll be back to try it medium spicy next. Mild was almost no spice so anyone who's not good with spicy food would approve.

Variety of Indian dishes at reasonable rates. Food are of good taste and only item that needs some improvement is Thali. Other than that all of their dishes are very good.
