Someone should invest and restore this Mall. It's a community landmark and has great potential

More of a flea market vibe than an actual mall. Very ghetto and trashed out. Nobody goes here but hood folks that want to buy hood stuff in a nasty environment. It could really be closed or sold and turning into something decent. I would never recommend anyone go here unless you need jewelry repair. I will say theres a jewelry store that always has nice employees and adjust pieces and replace watch batteries, both at a feasible rate. And of course the drugs sold outside the entrance can be convenient. Otherwise this place is a no go.

It's a mall. I feel relatively safe when I am there and I am an average appearing, clean-cut, black male, often alone. No high end stores, per-say, but you can find satisfying basics, and something nice to eat. Under 18 and females should travel with an adult friend or family member... I say this because across the street is an element of dudes hanging in cliques that I don't believe would harm the vulnerable, however, we really can not predict these things, so better safe!

Well. It sends you through 3 phases. First, it makes you kinda sad and induces questions like "why am I here?" an "what's my Real purpose?". Then kinda mad, as you repeat " no I don't have any change", "no I don't have another cigarette", "no I don't have anymore trees" ( I just gave the lady a dollar, fudge it ). Then kinda glad. Or very glad. Knowing you don't stay here. You ain't gotta stay here. And, as a matter fact, you are leaving! It has two sneaker type stores ( 3 actually). These are probably decent but overly priced. Because they swear All colored people are sneaker heads, and of course to sell those expensive ($65) trendy shorts with all the rips in them. They got a Citi Trends. Where I couldn't even find a T-shirt. A barber shop. As if. A suit shop. Nuff said. Of course a beauty shop, of course two mandatory jewelry stands, and of course there is an American Deli ( why colored people think they like this place I definitely don't know). All in all. Definitely a place to experience every so often. To keep you focused and grounded. And hungry! Just not that kinda hungry.

It's a shame that this mall has gone down. It was shocking to see how many businesses and restaurants are no longer there. It's almost a ghost town. There's no seating areas, and the parking lot is in bad need of repairs. Understand there's talk of this mall becoming none existing

I accompanied my grandson to buy some tennis shoes. I must admit, Westend Mall isn’t what it used to be, but it’s always my go-to place for name-brand tennis shoes. The prices weren’t too steep and were quite affordable.

Not the best mall I have ever been to, but not the worst either. Has a dope shoe store and a barber shop inside. Like was mentioned in a previous review, probably not the safest place to travel alone as a young female, the outside in the front and across the street are pretty sketch.

Since moving in the area I feel they could atleast upgrade the mall appearance it has the same old boring look. Would be nice to see some upgrade and changes to the mall not a bad place just not too appealing/ welcoming for now.

Just a very few words about this place. I strongly suggest just to avoid that area all together. I'll label it as one of the danger zones and leave it at that

Sadly this place is all nostalgia. Nothing is the same. Its dead. Shopping in the mall has reduced to "thot wear" and sneakers. In the 90s and early 2000s this was a fun hangout spot. So chill and black. Now its gone. Its sad. I hate its what it is now.

It is so dead here, I'm not sure how they keep the lights on. Save for a handful of businesses, there isn't reason to come here. The "security guards" do not garner a feeling of safety as they sit at their table scrolling through social media. I came for the beauty supply store and they did not disappoint. This will be the only reason I come as they have a great selection and good prices.

February 2023- came here to get my hair braided. Also come here to get my nails done and to shop for date night clothes and clothes for nights out with the girls. They also have sneaker stores both footlocker and kids footlocker. I also get my eyebrows done here they are great very professional and very talented. There are only two people that work in there though so the wait can be a little long. They accept appointments on Tuesdays. Definitely recommend this mall if you’re going out you can get all your needs taken care of in one stop.

I didn't realize that that area was a giant mall shopping I thought it was like a human resources or a welfare that is without prejudice just the people that are all around it don't look like they're shopping I could be wrong

I grew up in Atlanta so I remember when this mall was the place to be in the SWATS. Now it’s just a run down hole in the wall called a mall. I guess it only still stands because it’s probably a historic site on Ga’s registry. Should be called the Dead Mall of the West End

I'm from up north city trends is a bargain shopping store and I love it.. It's just to many of them young dudes all around the mall to even feel comfortable going in the mall.. all of them selling something and it's just not a good look for the mall it turns regular shoppers in another direction to go shop...

This mall is ghetto as hell and terrible. I was hoping the current owner (Charles Taylor) would sell it to an investment company that really want to do something great with it but the deals keep falling thru. The current owner of the mall said instead he wants to refocus the mall for the community but the majority of the community don't shop there and never will b/c of all the crime surrounding the mall or the lack of quality items inside of it. They need to demolish and start over! Also I should mention the mall is embarrassingly outdated and not well maintained which goes to show you how much the current owner cares about the community ... in other words HE DONT!

Been a few years since I've been to this Mall, since I moved away from the ATL. Was always a great place to visit even though its not as big as some of your other malls. And I believe it is the only Black owned Malls in Atlanta. Maybe even Georgia...the other thing I like is the mall is located in the middle of Atlanta's HBCU (Morris Brown, Spellman, Morehouse, and Clark) District.

I mean…I thought I had been pranked. I’m looking all around for “the mall” and all I could see was what looked like a big warehouse. Then I saw a restaurant and sign that said “Food Court.” Went in, and there was a buffet (food looked good). But back half of the place was completely lights out, and chairs turned up on the tables. (It was 1 pm). I asked if I could get to the mall through the “food court?“ No. what kind of weird mall has a place called “Food Court” that is t a food court and through which you can’t actually enter the mall? So, when I finally realized the tiny sign “mall” sign actually was the main entrance, I went in there. Maybe 12 stores. Some might be cool but it felt like a place no-one wanted to be. Not even the security. It’s such a sad “mall.” They would do better to tear it down and put an open-air park with food trucks and pop-up stores in its place.

It's such a shame to see this mall going down hill. I'm afraid it's just a matter of time before they shut down. They haven't kept up with the times. The interior is outdated and the stores are mostly selling cheap clothes and shoes. Half the stores are closed.

I visited the food court Abdullah the Butcher restaurant located next to Planet Fitness on the rear of the mall I was greeted at the front door by a homeless guy begging for change to get something to eat since this is the season of giving I invited him in and told him to order whatever he likes you think me and I told him there was no need for thanks because I am blessed

My car got Hit once in the parking lot from front and my headlights, finder and hood got damaged and broke and someone threw a Stone to break the window as well on my car. No securities are willing to show the camera. Nobody care and mall don’t take the responsibility because THE CAMERA don’t WORK SO IF YOUR CAR IS IN WESTEND PARKING LOT WATCH OUT. THIS LOCATION NEEDS TO HAVE GOOD SECURITY AND POLICE OFFICERS with Camera in the parking lot otherwise the place is going to be Dangerous .

What can I say about this mall that you don't already know about the reality of malls, that they're dying out? Online shopping's making malls obsolete. It's ok I guess. I really just went there to use the bathroom.

Whomever the security young lady was in the parking lot, was harassing me as I'm a nurse! She needs to be assertive. I had a very bad experience involving her. She was driving around in circles around my car and almost hit it! Her boss or an unidentified vehicle was on stand by, and also didn't identify themselves. She approached my vehicle and banged on the driver side window which caused scratches! So to the management I'll be reaching out to the proper people. Young lady please be careful approaching vehicles, I know you had to prove your job description but with everything going on in Atlanta, everyone needs to play their part in being vigilant and not harassing and antagonizing and being a bully. Please train your team to be professional and introduce themselves properly!
