This park is brand new and beautiful. It's behind the Mercedes Benz Statium, so the view is beautiful. The area used to be sketchy. So I was surprised when my friend suggested the area. But I was very surprised when I got there. There's a splash pad and the playground was designed so beautifully. I wanted to play on it when I saw it.

Beautiful laid out and manicured park in the heart of this historical city. The view of the skyline is amazing even in cloudy weather. The park is in a lower income neighbourhood but it's still the safest place to be. During my time there I noticed Atlanta PD patrolling three times in different sides of the park. There's a pathway that takes you around the entire perimeter of the park and there's a couple of ponds. There is a huge grassy area and I saw two pavilions for gatherings. The centerpiece is the newly erected statue of the late congressman John Lewis. Enjoy the park now while it still new because this will be a must see for tourists.

Currently under construction but will be a $45 million dollar park that honors wonderful historic figures from Chief Tomochichi, Martin Luther King Jr., former Atlanta Mayor Rodney Cook Sr. and many others that changed the state of Georgia, the USA and the World! This green space will be educational, including topics in history, ecology, and environmental sciences.

Beautiful park! Such a gem in the center of town. Hope and wish people that have always been in that area, stay and enjoy all the beautification that is happening.

Gorgeous park in downtown Atlanta, just a few blocks from the stadium. It has a beautifully landscaped wetlands area with bridges. The climbing area for kids is large and challenging even for older kids, as well as having a section for the littles. There's a section with equipment for working out, a large greenspace for picnics or kicking around a ball, as well as a basketball court, a restroom, and two pavilions.

This is an exquisite green space in the heart of Atlanta, and it is already well-used by the community. It is more open air than the Old Fourth Ward park, but it provides crucial stormwater and flood control measures in an aesthetically pleasing way. Several old trees were preserved, and the walkway over the wetlands provides views of the City.

Really nice park to take your children or just to go and read a book. Beautiful scenery with little waterfalls and pond. I did see a nice building near the children's play area where restrooms were on the park.

Here's photos of the entire park. Every time I come here they have gatherings and parties going on. Kids love this place. Always feels very safe. A public and popular park. I love it. The photos were taken on a gorgeous 🀩 Sunday morning... Enjoy!

This park will make a difference for the two communities, Vine City Community and English Avenue Community, because it create jobs for them. They will have 1st priority for accepting them and that's just one of the reason I give 5 stars. I'll add more comments as we get closer to completion. Thank you Rodney Cook Jr. for all the things you're creating for both communities. Peace, Love and Joy to you.

Wow! What a beautiful park and wonderful addition to the Vine City neighborhood. The park has a waterfall, lush vegetation, a playground, basketball court, sitting areas, and a nice field area. I went for a walk and it was very nice. Parking is limited.

Nasty full of sewage and trash and you need a hazmat suit to walk in it. Bums and crack heads every where.

What a beautiful park!!! I didn't know it was so close to the Vine City MARTA station. I took a nice long walk thru streets off of Northside Drive and stumbled upon the Rodney Cook Sr. Park. I could just sit out by the waterfalls all day and just appreciate the park's tranquility.

The roads are terrible. The city of Atlanta should be ashamed of themselves for allowing their streets to get that bad. The park is a work in progress.

Beautiful park! Definitely had parkour in mind with the design of the playground. My kid really enjoyed all the climbing and jumping, and the fact it had some challenging courses.

This park has a lot of potential and I can't wait, it's going to be so beautiful in the spring. I love the waterways and playground, the bridges and walkways and of course that waterfalls. Those informational placards are a nice touch. They are both beautiful and practical.

Atlanta is doing a great job with their green space lately. Beautifully landscaped and thoughtfully laid out. This park has water features, a playground for young and older kids, and a large grass area.

Beautiful and peaceful park. I enjoyed my walk through it but it seems that they are going to have to do a better job at keeping the water clean because I saw a lot algae and a little bit of trash and toys.

The park was great me and the boys had a phenomenal time it was after a pretty strong rain and there may be some irrigation issues but it's clearly visible and you won't have to walk into any mud unless you choose to. They were ducks and a ginormous playground that kids of all ages particularly probably six and up would have a great time with but my four and two-year-old also had a great time I was just giving you the go

My granddaughter had a blast playing with all the kids - most of which were supervised. My grand particularly liked the slide which you had to climb rope ladders to get to. A little aggravating that some of the smaller kids didn't understand the danger of trying to go up the chute while the bigger kids were coming down - but the adults handled it nicely. I enjoyed walking along the peaceful trail by the water. It was very relaxing.

Perfect for a hot day to bring the kids out and play in the water jets! My grandsons had fun both at the playground and in the water.
