Dog park

đź‘Ť It's a beautiful, tucked away little park that has a big and little dog spaces. The only reason I took a star away was that it's a bit of a homeless hangout. As a consequence there's sometimes trash that your dog can get at if they're so inclined. People often mention park, dogs, people, homeless,

Beautiful, Southern space for dogs to romp and sniff. Water provided. Sparsely-attended during our three visits March 2023

This park is full of homeless people and people drugged out just basking in the sun. There are never other dogs present due to the above and the park has glass inside the fences. Not safe for dogs or humans!

Quiet and fairly nice, but there were lots of people and no other dogs, all the gates were left open, and the ground around the bench was littered with cigarette butts and chicken bones (which can kill dogs), so I had to keep my dogs on the other side of the park.

Dog park or is it a park for the homeless?!? Not comfortable for me or my dog.

This is walking distance for me, so I thought I would give it a try. There isn’t anywhere for owners to sit and watch their dog play. It could use a bench or two. I also have a very small dog, and she could get out at the entrances (squeezed through the gap between the gate and fence). It wasn’t a huge deal for us because she has no interest in running away from me, but if you have an excited puppy who will run, be careful.

Lower park was empty of people and dogs. It was super clean and largely free of overgrowth. I think it’s the park for smaller dogs, but I didn’t see the upper park so can’t be sure. The water fountain was clean and operational. Waste bag stand available. Didn’t see if stocked. Dog found a tennis ball and had the time of his life. Could use a bench. There’s no help for the unhoused in this city, and there’s nothing in Renaissance Park other than the dog parks, so I’m fine with people getting out of the sun and chillin here. My dog had a great time and no one bothered us.

There’s no grass in the dog park. There is a lot of homeless that camp there but for me it wasn’t really the best dog park. I like that there was a fence yes but there were no signs that someone comes and cleans and treats the grass there was no grass I did only go in the small dog park section based on the reviews

I just moved a block away a couple of months ago, and so I walk over there a lot. There are two areas -- one for large dogs and one for small dogs. The homeless people hang out in the large dog area. There is a fountain for them to bathe in and so forth, so good for them. They have generally been polite and friendly, but there are a lot of chicken bones and other food remnants on the ground, so I don't let my dog off leash in that area. But the small dog area is relatively fine if you just want to let your dog off leash. There are rarely any other dogs there. Just make sure both gates are closed first.

👍👍 This is the park that I take my dog to most every day. Although it’s small, there’s jsut enough of space for the dogs to get their runs in. People are great and friendly and accountable to their dogs, which I really appreciate. There is rarely moments where a dog is going unchecked. The park is wel...

🫤 I only gave it two stars because we got to meet Willow there. Willow was the young dog that played with young lady and made everything fun. No no shade, no trees, and since my dog leash is 26 ft long I could have stood right in the middle of the park and she could have walked around the entire perim...

🫤 Rented a home in the area for business and brought our two dogs. Googled dog parks and this one came up. Excited to find one so close. It is in the neighborhood and rather large. We went in and soon the lady who owned the house next door brought her small dog out. The dog seemed to have fun running...
