Rented a home in the area for business and brought our two dogs. Googled dog parks and this one came up. Excited to find one so close. It is in the neighborhood and rather large. We went in and soon the lady who owned the house next door brought her small dog out. The dog seemed to have fun running and being chased by our two but she kept chiding our dogs for scaring her dog. She then informed us she had surgery due to a dog running into her in the park. It was clear she was passive aggressive and wanted us to leave. Our dogs frequent dog parks regularly but we won't return. I guess she thats what she wanted!

Great dog yard with attentive owners. This is not an official City of Atlanta park. It's a grassy field behind the church, and to keep it a rare grassy dog park, it's closed when wet.

I started bringing my dogs here in September when we moved nearby. This is a little hidden gem that I never would have known about had my realtor not informed me. This place is more than a dog park- it's a community. Most people and dogs are regulars and everyone is friendly and welcoming. People keep good watch over their dogs, and the park stays clean (i.e. no dog poop laying around) and there is a good bit of grass. FYI- the park has specific hours and tends to close when it rains (to preserve the grounds) so you may want to check the Facebook page before heading there (the guy who runs it does a great job posting daily). The hours are usually 2 pm - dusk Mon-Sat and closed on Sundays. This is because the dog park property is owned by the church next door, and they have a preschool during the weekdays and I'm assuming church events on Sundays.

A phenomenal park. Well cared for (thanks to memberships and donations!!) and well stocked (water bowls and a spigot for refills, plus a lot of pre-loved toys to be discovered). We're going to become members, and we'll be back as often as we can. Bring a glass of lemonade and let your pup play!

We are so lucky to have use of this little park, provided by the Ormewood Park Presbyterian Church and frequented by happy dogs and responsible owners. It's a peaceful place to unwind after a long day.

Maybe closed down? Came in the middle of the day and there’s a lock around the gate and it looks abandoned

The grounds itself were well kept and clean. Did not feel “welcome” here however, met with very judgemental attitudes. Wouldn’t go again.

Hours are incorrect. This park isnt open until 3. Looks very nice, but please update hours.

My two dogs - one 72 lbs. and one 14.5 lbs. - love the Ormewood Dog Yard. It is a great place for dogs and people in the neighborhood to meet and socialize. Since it's a neighborhood dog yard, most people know each other and their dogs. The yard is well maintained and has a secure fence. There's no better way to get to know your OP dog-owning neighbors than to come to the dog yard and play!
