ATL resident here and our first time exploring Chastain and found it to be a very good example of an outdoor venue perfect for our Barenaked Ladies concert. We loved the stone amphitheater, really had the ability to bounce around that sound. available parking for about $30 for our show though yours may vary. The food lines went pretty fast and all the staff were exceptional leading to a wondeful night out for us dogs.

This is my favorite concert venue. Itโ€™s in a nice area of Atlanta and itโ€™s a smaller venue which makes the concert feel much more personal.

Went to see Ne-Yo Champagne and Roses Tour and absolutely loved it!!! The seating is bench seats and you have plenty of room for people to walk/dance without having to squeeze thru/move or climb over anyone. There is lawn seating that has stone/grass bench like seats and plenty of drink stands! There is also concession stand with drinks & food behind the stage area. Will def come back for another concert!!

Nice venue to see concerts at. Be prepared to pay $25 for parking but we got a good spot that was easy to exit from after the show. Food was good for concert food, hot and fresh tenders and fries. I love how wide the aisles are so people can cross freely in front of you with out you having to get up and move and bump knees or whatnot.

I hadn't visited Chastain Park in quite awhile but was very pleased with the makeup of the seating arrangement. There was grass on the upper seating when last I visited. Eventhough the walking for parking was grueling, the excitement of being under the stars again, made it all worth it. Ron Isley was the opener. There seemed to be some glitches in the audio. Also with his and his band's dress. But we thoroughly enjoyed it. And as usual, Frankie Beverly and Maze gave me back some of my past. Sitting under the stars at the long forgotten, Southern Heritage Festival in Birmingham's long gone Fair Park. Oh what a 21st birthday I had. Nonetheless, Chastain remains one of my favorite places to take in some people watching, finger popping, hand clapping , 'Joy and Pain'!!!! Though we had rain the moment Maze hit the first note, the joy of the gathering was apparent that very few took to the e it's as the liquid sunshine came down. Security was prudent and thorough on my end. I felt safe because of the precautions taken. Post COVID looked like days of old at Chastain.....

Great venue...pretty much any seat in the house will have at least a decent view; sound is of high quality. Seats are not the most comfortable so recommend bringing some type of cushion that you can get for concerts/games or a blanket for padding (if you intend to sit for most of the show). Some shows allow you to bring outside food and drinks, definitely check beforehand as it is very much worth it! Free parking is available if you go all the way to the venue entrance!! There is a ton of paid parking further out that I think people see first and end up utilizing.

Attending a Common concert was a first for me and what a great first time experience! Common in collaboration with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra put on an awesome concert. I danced the entire night. I traveled across state lines with a friend of mine, who is an avid fan, to see Common on stage and it was worth every penny. An awesome venue and great weather to add to the evening made a spectacular night!!

Always enjoy this venue! Pretty amphitheater among the trees and every seat is a good seat. Comfy bleachers and room for people to walk in each aisle.

Fabulous acoustics! Seating is easy to locate and wide isles with low steps make the venue very convenient to navigate. You will pay to park close but it's worth it and there's no issue getting in or out they do a Fantastic job keeping the flow of traffic. Food was moderately priced for a buckhead venue although not many gluten free options. Alcohol on site and the list of preforming bands is Awesome! Definitely worth it! If you have never been it is open outdoors so dress according to your weather and time. Most of all Have Fun! ๐Ÿฅฐ

Loved seeing Neyo, Mario and Pleasure P. The seats were perfect. No one was blocking my view and the sound was cool. Only thing I would mention was a problem is the size of the TV screens. They are small!!!! There was a line, but went fast.

Great open-air venue is spectacular. There is not a bad seat in the amphitheater and offers limited covered seating. Check the venue website to see if you can bring a picnic and coolers before attending as concert policies differ between performances. Enjoy and have fun this summer!

Definitely enjoyed the show. Check the website to see whether or not you can bring coolers to the show. There is a bag restriction. Parking is kind of pricey ($30) and limited but it's worth it bc ride share apps were charging more than that one way when the show was over. I'd suggest arriving early and wearing shoes you can walk in. There are officers out there to direct traffic at the end of the event so exiting the area isn't too bad, still expect an added 15 minutes on your commute. Seats from the side row R are pretty good.

This is a beautiful venue. It is very open and doesnโ€™t feel crowded. I would say the biggest thing for me was itโ€™s basically in the middle of a neighborhood. If your going to a concert I would definitely get there and hour early. When you leave. For people who Uber: We Ubers to the venue. It was. Fast and inexpensive. A Uber was going to cost $65 (a forever wait time) or $75 for a taxi cab driver who was there right then. So it was just a small learning curve.

Compared to most outdoor venues I know, this one is pretty roomy even when a show is sold out. Not a bad seat in the house.

Great venue. Not a bad seat to be found. Parking however? The WORST. We circled for almost half an hour before finding a spot at a local public park.

Love this outdoor venue! The fact that you can be outside and bring your own food and drinks is exceptional in this day and age! Seems like most seats are provide a great view! They bring in a variety of acts!

We are a family with 2 young kids ( 2 and 4 yo) and we often went to this location. We have considered this a family friendly venue due to the big seats and not so loud music. My impression changed today and I will definitely think twice before buying a ticket. On our way out at 9 pm, my daughter got suddenly tired when she saw the stairs so we stopped at the bottom for 20 seconds, enjoying the music. The person in red ( which was not normally in that place) approached us very disrespectfully and demanded us to leave immediately because we were " blocking the fire lane" . Mind you the other people waiting in line for drinks were not blocking the fire exit, just us the family with 2 young kids who did a short break at the bottom of the stairs. I know it was just 20 seconds because I recorded the song while waiting for my kid to be ready to climb the stairs. Mister in Red, you can do your job and be respectful and patient in the same time. I haven't heard "an excuse me sir", when you approached my husband, you continued to harass us that we need to go although we told you we were on our way out, when my husband asked why are the other people on the stairs not blocking the fire exit your reply was that they are inline for drinks... So it's ok to stay on stairs for drinks but God forbid you stop on the bottom of the stairs on you way out with 2 small children.

We weren't here for the normal reasons people go here. Instead we were here for an arts festival. Mother Nature was on her best behavior and gave us ideal weather for the first weekend in November.

This place is a total RIPOFF....They sell more tickets than they have parking for...Spend several hundred dollars on tickets and when you arrive their is no place to park. If you take an Uber then you will walk a half mile if you dont want to sit in traffic for hours. I'm a disabled vet and when you finally get to the parking area most of the handicap spots are taken by people without placards. Nobody cares or monitors that. Please dont waste your time or money for this place. It has to be a horrible experience. The folks are very rude there too. Try to ask a question about parking and they scream at you.

Easy parking, all seats are good, great acoustics, the staff is friendly and helpful, the merchandise area is not in the best spot, the food is average, video screens are so small they are really useless but with the size of the venue they are unnecessary.

Went to see 5 Seconds of Summer here- the venue was great! Love the pavilion to eat and drink (food is delicious, also has vegan options), but for me the best part is the leg room in the aisles. You don't have to constantly get up and shuffle back every time someone comes through! The sound carries wonderfully and you can see the stage very well even way back. I'll definitely come here for more concerts in the future.

Awful Parking situation! Concert was great! Sound was great! Lots of walking up tall hills and tall steps , not for older patrons! Awful parking! Shame on them for the awful parking situation! Need air fans in venue blowing cooler air on stage and on patrons during hot summer days and nights!!! Too hot!!!โ€™

Chastain Park Amphitheater is a fantastic outdoor music venue located in the heart of Atlanta. This beautiful amphitheater offers an intimate and unique concert experience that's perfect for music lovers of all genres. The amphitheater itself is nestled within the stunning Chastain Park, which provides a beautiful backdrop for concerts and events. The venue features both covered and uncovered seating options, as well as a spacious lawn area where you can bring your own chairs or blankets and enjoy the show from a distance. One of the standout features of Chastain Park Amphitheater is the sound quality. The acoustics are excellent, and you can hear every note and word clearly, whether you're sitting up close or far away on the lawn. Another great aspect of this venue is the variety of acts that perform here. From pop and rock to jazz and classical, there's something for everyone at Chastain Park Amphitheater. The venue attracts both established and up-and-coming artists, so you never know who you might discover here. Overall, I highly recommend Chastain Park Amphitheater for anyone looking for a unique and memorable concert experience in Atlanta. The venue is beautiful, the sound quality is excellent, and the atmosphere is unbeatable. Whether you're a die-hard music fan or just looking for a fun night out, you won't be disappointed.

Frankie Beverly and Maze donโ€™t owe us anything from their performance at Chastain Park! Truly amazing and the venue was outstanding! Tables set up perfectly. Each with a trash bag to dispose of your garbage. Clean restrooms, OMG, what a blessing. Never a long line. An attendant keeping the bathrooms clean! Whomever is running this place, HATS OFF TO YOU! Customer service was amazing! Thatโ€™s hard to find these days! Yโ€™all are truly doing something right!

This place is amazing. I may be biased because I've only been here to see Josh Groban (๐Ÿคฉ), but it was a genuinely amazing experience. There are four entrances to the Amphitheater, which seems to be a guarded secret. Gate 2 was PACKED with people waiting to scan tickets, but gate 4 was wide open. There were concessions available (including adult beverages), but they were asking $13 for a 12oz spiked lemonade, so I'll let you use your better judgment there. Overall, I had a fantastic time and can't wait for another exceptional artist to entice my return.

Great show, very comfortable seating! It was an easy venue to get around in. The usher was a little rude but overall great place! They have designated smoking areas. It's strange that there's not just free smoking at a concert. If you're a smoker this would be annoying, but if not it's nice to breathe. Parking is limited and a little far from the venue. If you are unable to walk far I suggest getting there very early.

Still great after all these years. Live Nation invested some $$ last year to upgrade bathrooms and concessions. only negative is the old tiny inadequate video screens remain. Center Orch seats remain the best in ATL. plenty of room and good sound. Ride share arrangements are. PITA. Best to walk a few blocks for your ride home. Be aware that all shows get shutdown at present times per city ordinance. Treat yourself to a show at Chastain Park Amphitheater!

A nice stadium for the summer time! My boyfriend and I went here for a Lindsay Sterling and Evanescence concert in August, and the acoustics for the stadium were not half bad. Seating was great with a lot of leg room and a nice patio/bar area behind the stage

This is a cute lil venue/ amphitheater. It exudes a intimate feel and friendly setting. Although the merch line at this concert had one of the longest lines I've seen. I would hope they place more booths for customers to purchase inventory with easier practical efficiency.

This is my second time to come to this venue. 10 months ago I saw the Revolution 3 Tour, with Stone Temple Pilots, Bush and The Cult. I really like the venue, with the exception of the restrooms by Gate 1. They are not air conditioned. Later, I found another set that are, but just a heads up. There was great sound and you feel really close to the performers. I even got to TOUCH one of the singers I came to see. Jeff Gutt of Stone Temple Pilots. He came out into the Audience and Gavin Rossdale did as well ! It was Amazing.

I still call it Chastain, it is a cool venue, but parking is a bear, so either get there as early as possible or get dropped off. If the event allows you to bring your own food and drinks, do that. Everything is expensive.

  • 4/5 Ken H. 4 years ago on Google
I always enjoy shows here, even though they seem to have to end before 11 PM. I get why, it is nestled in the apparent middle of several subdivisions and nice houses, so noise ordinances will be strict. It's a little tough to navigate the roads surrounding the area, so early arrival and late departure is suggested (or the patience to sit for a bit in traffic)
