It's a beautiful and well maintained park with ample parking space. The entrance fee is just $5 and they only accept cash so make sure you have that before planning your trip. Attached to the park is beautiful trail around 2 miles long. Trail is a bit difficult for beginners but not for regulars. Beautiful views halfway around the trail and a few benches along the way. Park has the best views of waterfall and lake. But it's not allowed to swim in the water. Overall amazing experience!

We stayed at the beautiful High Falls State Park in Jackson Georgia to do some hiking and lay over for the night. Pulling a rig our size through what I assume is the original tight and curvy section to get to the section for larger units is NOT for the faint of heart!  But, it is doable if you take your time and are very, very careful. Our site was easy to get into and long enough that we didn't have to disconnect since we were only here for the night. It included a little fenced area, with a fire pit and a picnic table.   There is only electric and water at the site but if you need to dump they have a well laid out station. The park is large and beautiful with a number of hiking trails.  We did a four mile hike along a gorgeous falls and river.  There is nothing level here so this isn't the easiest walk, but it's well worth it. We enjoyed the park and will probably come back some time to do more hiking and sightseeing.

Beautiful park! Staff at park office were friendly and helpful. Lots of places for a nice picnic. We hiked the falls trail which is about 1.5 miles and has beautiful views of the tumbling rapids and the river as well as awesome rock formations and peaceful woods. The trail was very well marked and had benches along the way to rest. It does require a fair amount of climbing over steps/rocks/roots and a few narrow parts but overall not a difficult hike. Restrooms were clean. Playground was in good condition for extra fun too! Definitely recommend! Another gem of a state park!

Very cool place! Parking is $5. The staff was friendly. They gave us a map. We went to a wedding here. This is a fun venue for casual gatherings. The bathroom was open, clean, and well-stocked. There was plenty of parking. There were plenty of picnic tables at the pavilion, and plenty of trash receptacles.

We rented a yurt for the weekend and it was a cool experience. It was 5 of us: two adults and three kids. Indoors was big enough for us to be comfortable within our personal space(s). Everything is as described. That's the best way for me to sum it up. The staff was very friendly and the bathrooms were well kept. Received a nice surprise at check in... Thank you! Overall, it was a lovely stay.

I really enjoyed it here! It’s so pretty, & the trails are easy to follow. Dog friendly! I went before 10 AM so it wasn’t crowded at all. Did two of the trails- the Tranquility Trail & the other one to see the falls. Will definitely be returning 😁

Great Recreational Area, there is camping and yurts. The damn and waterfall both are pretty. There is kayak, Canoe and water cycle rentals as well. Parking is $5 which is standard for all the Georgia State Parks. Bathrooms are clean and available. The trail itself closes at dusk. The kayaks need to be back by 4pm

We stayed in the yurts here at High Falls for a few nights. We really enjoyed our stay, and I really enjoyed the park. I loved that you could see the falls from the main part of the park. There were nice trails to walk by the waterfall, and there was a playground, swimming pool and putt putt that you could walk to from the campground/yurt area. Our only complaints were there was no trash can in the yurt, and the yurt was almost impossible to cool down during the day. You also have to pay $7 per person to swim in the pool. With me and my 2 kids, that was over $80 just to be in the pool. And it was just a pool, nothing special. We pay $5 for a pool and splash pad at home so it felt a little ridiculous. I think people staying in the yurts or campground should have gotten a discount. There was a small water park right up the road for $14 per person. It had 2 large water slides, a pool, and a small pirate ship with slides for the little ones. There was also a store and dollar store right across the street, so you could get anything you forgot without driving a long ways.

We love to go to High Falls State Park. There are plenty of places to picnic. They also have picnic tables very close to the handicapped parking. They have miniatute golf and a playground for the kiddos. They have a great walking trail that is well marked. They rent canoes and paddle boats. The paddle boats look like miniature pontoon boats. The sound of the water is beautiful. There are also plenty of places to go camping. There is a store just across the highway in case you forgot something.

We hiked this trail on 9/11/2022. As pups, this trail was honestly a lot of fun! It was steep at times, but we love climbing. One of us (Pato) doesn’t love heights, so being over the falls at times was a tiny bit scary, but as long as we kept moving, all was okay! Finding the trail head was a tiny bit confusing, but that’s okay, Mom and Dad eventually figured it out! This wasn’t our favorite trail, but we will probably return one day!

We met some friends here for a weekend of camping. Our campers are very long so the sites available to us are more limited and we are careful in picking our sites. We ended up in sites 1 and 2. They were perfect. They were easy to back our campers into. We walked the campground and there were areas that we didn’t like as much as where we were. The sites in those areas were very close together with no trees. The bath house near us was spotless and very well maintained. The camp ground host was friendly, as was the employee at the trading post that checked us in. There is also a lakeside campground for campers that are 25 feet or less. Ours is bigger so we didn’t check out this area. The lakeside campground is close to the pool. And there is a pioneer camping area that has a great location. Many people pay the fee and park near the pool to go to the falls and enjoy the numerous trails that are there for hiking. We had a wonderful weekend and are enjoying camping at the State Parks in Georgia.

A nice park with great hiking trails and water features to view. There are boat and canoe rentals that are priced reasonably. The area is very rural and poor and doesn't offer much outside of the park for groceries or activities. The bathrooms are dated and haven't been cleaned since our stay for a week.

A great place to stop by near I 75. Take a couple of hours to stretch your legs and hike one of the many trails. The trains are well marked. The park has a stead flow of people, but there is plenty of parking. We hiked a trail that was marked in red.

I love nature and the sound of the water splashing down the rocks great place to relax with your partner in crime. Greta for kids as well and your four legged pet. To make it better so close to the city you donthave to spend to much money to enjoy this park.

Nice spot to take a walk on the well marked trail. Beautiful scenery, quiet enough to clear your mind, tranquil. I'm sure that you could spend hours here, it's also convenient to the interstate and a good spot for a leg stretching walk.

The Park is a great place to visit. Be careful with the water level being so low at the boat ramp. I had to drop my trailer wheels off the end of the ramp to retrieve my boat, not good. Thank God I have powerful truck to pull it out.

Very nice State Park. Perfect for a picnic lunch. Never been here before and is relatively close to home.... we'll be back again soon. Very light attendance, plenty of room for social distancing. Didn't notice many people with masks (other than wife & I) but it was easy to maintain proper distance. Lavatories very clean and properly stocked. Yurt camp sites look cool! We may try that one weekend. Highly recommended.

Nice campground and trails. Bathrooms decent. Men's has 2 showers, toilet and urinal. Spot 50 was great. Almost perfectly level, just across from bathhouse. Loop A looks over the main entrance road, about 25' above. Spots on loop A next to entry road are level, those on the opposite side are steep front to back. Loop C was loud well past quiet time and several spots had more than 2 cars per site. The upper loop D had some shorter sites for 50amp but are almost all level front to back and side to side. Loop C had a number that are off side to side (level). Inside loop B looked decent as far as level. We would stay again, but try for loop D. Some sites has concrete picnic table, but most had metal. The initial sites on the entry road were nice and level as well. Gate was closed the entire time we were there. Verizon has 1 bar service. Txt and phone work, but data slow to none, mostly none. Loop B was able to get 2 bars and some data.

The park is beautiful! Gorgeous waterfall. Small play ground for children. Must pay a state fee to enter or if you live near by buy a yearly pass. You can fish, boat, picnic, camp, hike so much to see and do. There are shelters you can rent for any event,. we did family reunions and the last time there was a wedding and they took pictures by the falls!! Go and visit the outdoors.

Been coming here for many years. They have done some large upgrades to the walkways down the river from the dam. The Falls themselves are absolutely beautiful in January when these photos were taken. They were draining the lake so people could do repairs on their docks. There is a decent campground area here for RVs and the yurts that view the lake. The picnic areas are wide and open and there’s even a playground for kids. The falls and the old factory power plant are the highlights. It’s a rather small park and I really wish they would do camping along the river in the future

As yurts go it was great. Loved the location of the yurt 04 to the deck over the lake, still near bathroom. Room was clean not a lot of bugs, temperature control w/fan made it comfortable. The sleeping comfort of a full mattress is not the easiest for an adult couple but better than tent May.

We love to hike at High Falls and decided to stay in one of the yurts for one night and it was lovely. The campground restrooms were always clean and there are multiple small stores near if you should need extra supplies. Super easy and fun stay.

Stayed in a yurt for a few days and it was very nice. The waterfall and hiking along the Towaliga River were a big hit with the family, especially since the remnants of Hurricane Sally had just dumped a lot of rain in the area. The campgrounds (along the lake) were nice, as well. The only downside was the ants. So. Many. Ants. Fortunately, they were not in the yurt.

5$ for entry fee/parking Camping allowed and also yurts to rent (no pets allowed in yurts) Hiking trails are well maintained and easy for kids of every age. Regular tennis shoes work just fine. They mark the trials really well so you can’t get lost. They also have boat rentals, mini golf, and pool. There are also restrooms

Beautiful and spacious, at least in January when my wife & I visited. Main restrooms were closed, but one building may have had them open. Limited pavilions (we saw only 2) but there were 7 yurts with patio, bunks & one futon in each. Place for RVs.

Loved accidentally finding this spot. I needed this outdoor find. The views were amazing the air just felt so good. Everything around it is a small town vibe. The park is so nice and entrance is 5 bucks. If you use a card go to the building across from the gas station. The camping and parkers entrance is cash only.

Our first visit here and our first trip on our restored motorhome. Quiet for the most part, the neighbors across the river had some dogs that fought some and barked a lot. And the other neighbor had small horses that were noisy at times. Still a restful time for the most part.

Probably the best state park I’ve ever camped at. Such a beautiful setting, gorgeous falls with some fun hiking trails, quiet and peaceful, well laid out campsites, helpful staff, immaculately clean bath houses and showers. Nothing but five stars for the experience I had here during a 4-day camping stay. Will be back for sure!!

This was a cute little distraction from the traffic on I75. We found it by accident and decided to give it a go. $5 to park. We didn't do the whole 1.4 mile hike. We just wanted to see the falls and then get back on the road.

It’s beautiful and quiet. If you go down the trail, don’t put a toe in the water, park rangers will fine you a big ticket if they catch you. And keep your vehicle doors locked, it may be a beautiful place, but there are tweakers and they will steal if they can.
