A uncommon environment makes this place feel like you're in another land entirely. The trails are very nice, but be sure to get out onto the rock and slow down a bit. Look around at the types of plants and animals living in the small pockets of moisture and vegetation. Cacti, succulents, mosses, lichens, grasses and evergreens. Frogs are active year-round.

Awesome nature and rock trails. The paved trails are apart of the PATH that connects throughout DeKalb and Rockdale Counties. It’s so easy to wander and explore all areas, and most tails connect to each another. The lake adds to the serenity, but is not suitable for swimming or water activities. The mountain is an easy to moderate hike depending on your ability. Follow the blue trail at the base of the mountain for a nice nature walk and more views of the lake. Park at any of the open lots for free, but you may have to walk further to reach certain spots. Look out for a variety of critters, wildlife, and native plant species. Truly a beautiful park throughout all seasons!

This was a fun hike. It was overcast so the walk was bearable. I can’t imagine doing this trek mid day in full sun It would just be really, really hot. Follow the stone pyramid markers and you’ll have no trouble finding the top. Enjoy your time at the top, its really pretty up there. You can actually see part of the mountain side driving along Klondike Road. Wear appropriate shoes. Fun way to spend the day. Bring water.

Pros: -You can pretend you’re on the moon -Found a dollar, and a coconut (who TF left a coconut on the mountain?!) -Beautiful views, unique ecosystem, great workout -Got to pet a really awesome dog Cons: -On hot days, feels more like the surface of the sun -You will quickly understand just how out of shape you are, and wonder why you got off the couch -You will realize you did not bring enough water, or sunscreen, and wonder how you’re qualified to be an adult

I took my first grade class here for a field trip and they were so happy. Many were singing, dancing and laughing as we climbed the mountain. They didn't want to leave. We had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this beautiful park.

This mountain is extremely easy to climb, not steep at all. The granite is so picturesque, makes for a great walk or photo shoot especially when the yellow flowers are in bloom ✨

Arabia Mountain National Park has been a Favorite go to place for me for years, now! My wife and I have hiked, rode our bikes, explored, and watched numerous knock-your-socks-off sunrises here. That barn at Vaughter's Farm is always a homey, welcome and cherishable sight. Just the other day when i was here i knew i really needed to be here. I didn't take as many pictures as i usually do, and that was so that i could just absorb the beauty, the air, the ground on which my feet connected with, and be in the grandeur and God's graceful creation of all of that!

BEST nature space in GA. Reminds me of the Arizona desert, how it expands in every direction… seems to never end; hidden trails & nooks; the native plant life express the most unique colors. Lake, creek, open rock, woodland, grassland, boardwalk, nature center with owls, two large parking lots (that are free). Particularly enchanting during or after rain. Frogs, fishing, deer, geese, etc etc. - it’s easy to get lost. - bring water. - ticktopia by the new lakeside pavilion (otherwise, nada). - closes at sundown.

This is a must see if you are a geology, science or hiking fan. Walking around on a granite mountain top is an amazing experience. Be sure to wear correct footwear. This is not a place you want to experience a fall.

I've been here over the past 8 years. Unlike the Stone Mountain, it is free, less people, significantly bigger, has more trails, lakes, and different entrance points and views. Great for family or just after an exhausting day at work. Many people take their wedding pictures here, my brother included. I've encountered box turtle, deer, racoon, beaver, fox, and rabbit. Don't expect to see these many wildlife, animals are great at avoiding humans. I've been here well over 50 times. Check our the Stone Crest library, it's beautiful, almost like a church made of wood, and you could access trail from the parking lot.

Pup friendly, pretty short hike, pretty steep to walk up the actual rock but it’s a short distance. I want to try to yoga class they have! But I live pretty far out and never plan for it so it’s my own fault. Cool nature center connected. Very little parking!!! That’s the only reason I gave 4 stars

It's a beautiful mountain with an easy walk to the summit. The enivronment on Arabia mountain is unique - with beautiful natural pools all up the ascent. Keep your eyes out for flora uncommon anywhere else! Perfect place to catch a sunset!

If you live near Stonecrest and love nature "This is the place". It's beautiful year round, pristine and clean. May see wildlife, walk with a buddy and be prepared to spend time off Path (trail)

This is a good place to hike. Not too far from Atlanta but feels close to nature. The place is huge and has rocks all over. There are two lakes in two different sides of the rocks. Single day may not be enough to hike around all the trails. There are bike trails and off road walk trails. This may not be a place to picnic as it does not have enough picnic tables and ground area.

The nation's heritage area is a short of umbrella organization that covers panels mountain State Park, Arabia mountain, several country parks and the amazing park foundation trails. We live in Florida and have come here there times. This last time we came to ride the Path Trails but of course took short hike through the woods, across bare Rick passing, and gazed down into South River. Spring is best for the flowers on the rocks and cooler for hiking and biking. There's plenty to see to keep you busy for at least several days with plenty of places to stay in the immediate area.

If you need a quick Cardio session, this is the place to go. There are markers as to how to walk around the mountain, but you can pretty much walk all over it. Sunrise and Sunset are both beautiful.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Arabia Mountain, and I was blown away by its natural beauty and unique landscape. The hike was both scenic and peaceful, with stunning views of the mountains and surrounding areas. The trails were well-marked and maintained, making it easy to navigate and enjoy the experience. I appreciated the opportunity to connect with nature and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In addition to the gorgeous scenery, the staff at Arabia Mountain were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, providing helpful tips and insights about the park and its history. Overall, I highly recommend Arabia Mountain to anyone looking for a serene outdoor experience. The stunning views, well-maintained trails, and friendly staff make it a 5-star destination that I will definitely be returning to in the future. Don't miss out on this natural gem!

My husband and I love going to Arabia mountain. It has wonderful trails. I’m leaving this review to advise people to wear masks even if you’re hiking. You can still come into close contact with others. The day I’m leaving this we had to leave because there were massive groups of people hiking and not wearing any masks. Be safe everyone.

The closest parking is next to the animal rescue parking lot. If you park at the nature area, it's quite a walk following the cones or the boardwalk. The path is wheelchair accessable, but the rock itself is not.

Very nice place to visit. It has definitely increased in popularity over the past several years, so the small parking lot by the trail head/mountain walk-up is always full. We parked at the Vaughters Farm and walked the PATH to the lake. It was about 3.5 miles round trip...EASY walking. Lake was peaceful and pretty.

Im glad that I have this beautiful place so close to my house. I go here often for exercise and relaxation. This park is a pretty good size. There are a few paths that you can take and each one has its own unique experience. The best place of this park is when you go off the path and explore the area.

  • 5/5 Washington G. 3 years ago on Google
The hiking trail is nice just make sure bring enough water since there is no cover after start the track on the rock. The view on top is awesome. The parking lot is not in the entrance of the rock track, need to be care. Great place close to downtown Atlanta.

It is a beautiful place but not a SAFE place!!!! It's a beautiful place, I will give 10 stars for the beauty. But last Saturday when we were there, our car window was broken in and a purse was stolen. Same day while we were trying to figure all this out, we found that someone else's car was broken in too, they said 2500 $s and 2 guns were stolen from their car. Signs say they have cameras to monitor but the they don't work. We have been here many many times but this experienc has changed our thinking. I'm not sure I will ever feel safe coming here again. Just don't leave anything valuable in the sight.
