Beautiful wooded campground, level RV sites, gravel ground surface, nice hiking trails throughout, playground area. We camped for the weekend in site #12. It was a wonderful site! Big picnic table, fire ring, grill. Plus some wooden steps leading down to the waters edge. Geese and ducks came by and our toddlers LOVED feeding them Cheerios. They were very friendly and even ate out of their hands. The earthen bridge was fenced off (I assume for construction? But nothing active seemed to be going on) so we walked a mile along the campground roads go get to the campground playground, instead of 0.2 miles. That was a bit of a bummer, but not a big deal overall. The bath houses looked quite nice and well maintained. Vending machines for drinks and very well lit at night. The yurts looked cool, they were across the lake from us. There was a boat launch, larger playground, cabins, biking/hiking trails. The visitor center looked incredible. Modern beautiful building with tables/chairs outside for sitting any time day/night. We like to try new places every time we camp, but if we run out of places, we'll surely choose to come back here.

We camped for the Fort Yargo 50k that was held on the trails at the park. The state park is beautiful and there are many things to do as a family. The campground was super clean and well kept and the trails are beautiful. All the campsites are very well shaded, are huge, and are pretty private which is really nice. We can't wait to come back, it was one of our favorite spots.

The campground is very clean with shaded sites, and the trails are well maintained. Very scenic lakeside views for both the RV and tent sites.

Amazing scenery. The campsites are well spaced from each other and include a picnic table in a large fire pit with grill. Like many state parks we've stayed at before, this one does not have a sewer hookup and only has a 30 and 20 amp plug.

T Walk in, tent camp site April 2023, loved the trails nearby, proximity to lake and kayak launch, big plus, felt like we had the best part of Georgia to ourselves! Good tasting water from spigot and bathroom which was clean, modern and warm with functional shower in 1 of 2 genter neutral, spacious bathroom/showers.

Quiet and peaceful everything you need right here. Not to hot and I have the best spot in the park. It's a good trip as usual!

Nice campground, friendly staff. The site could have been cleaner upon arrival. There are alot of large trees that provide shade, very pretty.

Always clean, real people who know about this State Park and informative in ways to enjoy your activities. Campgrounds Asome at all levels of camping.

The only negative is there was no parking reserved for RVs to check in and you had to park and go in to check in. They need to create space specifically for The. That was a bit difficult as it was crowded on a Sunday when we checked in. And we have small travel trailer. Cannot imagine on a bigger one.

The campground is shady and nice, but access to the water and beach is difficult. You have to drive at least 5 minutes to get there, you're not right on it.

The absolute best state park I've been been too so far. Don't even let me start talking about their BIKE/HIKING trail. I can't say enough great things about it. The office staff is very friendly as well. The park is quiet, even though you are close to shopping areas including Walmart, publix and home depot. The new welcome/conference center is wonderful, and sits right on the lake.

Great campground. The park has a little bit of everything, water activities, hiking, biking, camping ect. The restrooms were cleaner and better kept than most places and they have the newer style RRs along with with 2 separate full handicapped bathrooms with shower, toilet and sink. I can not tell you have great this is for those of us that need it. The only thing I would recommend is replacing the rusted and crooked fire rings and producing a comprehensive map with major landmarks. The only map they had was a trail map and that was missing basic things such as main buildings and pavilions that are very helpful in letting you know where to turn to get to the trail entrances and even if you are in the right parking lot to catch the trail. Just because it is a trail map does not mean you leave off buildings.
