State
Park
is
a
beautiful
area
out
in
the
middle
of
nowhere
in
the
Okefenokee
Swamp!
Miles
and
miles
off
the
main
road
from
Fargo,
GA
you’ll
come
across
the
visitor
center.
From
there,
you
can
get
a
map,
purchase
items
from
their
gift
shop
from
local
Georgia
sellers,
begin
a
short
walk,
or
take
out
your
boat
and
explore!
There
are
tons
of
activities
to
do
here
at
the
park,
but
one
thing
to
be
aware
of
is
SPIDERS!
When
I
visited,
they
were
everywhere!!
Look
where
you’re
walking
or
else
you
might
walk
face-first
into
a
huge
spiderweb…
I
went
on
the
little
walk
down
the
boardwalk
from
the
visitor
center.
I
was
fortunate
enough
to
see
a
deer
super
close
-
you
might
as
well
if
you
visit!
It
was
a
beautiful
walk
through
the
flooding
swampland,
and
it
was
neat
to
come
all
the
way
to
the
end
where
the
boardwalk
was
just
gone.
It
really
looked
like
you
walk
to
the
edge
of
nowhere!
Be
careful
for
alligators
-
when
I
was
there,
I
wasn’t
paying
attention
while
taking
a
video,
and
when
I
turned
around
I
saw
an
alligator
VERY
close
to
me
-
maybe
10-15
feet.
He
was
swimming
to
the
shoreline
and
was
almost
ashore
before
I
started
yelling
to
make
him
go
away.
That
could’ve
been
bad.
Keep
a
good
eye
on
your
dog
or
kids!
All
in
all,
it’s
a
great
place
to
visit
if
you’re
already
in
the
area.
It’s
one
of
those
places
you
need
to
go
to
once
because
it’s
literally
at
the
end
of
the
road
in
the
middle
of
nowhere,
and
it’s
just
cool
to
tell
people
you
went
all
the
way
there
on
the
map!
