I'm not normally big on steakhouses because steak is one of the few foods I can reliably cook to my liking better than most restaurants, but I have to say I was impressed by the whole experience here. Service, ambiance, food, and drinks were all exceptional. The steak was flavorful, cooked to perfection, and not salted to death. Would definitely recommend.

Ate here tonight with a few other people in my party. Coming in the vibe and obveance of the restaurant is nice it has a beautiful layout. The food is priced high but it is delicious and if you coming to a place like this then prices have no bounds. Believe me, I am completely satisfied. The staff here is nice and world-class. I started with the Lobster cakes they were seasoned and fried to a wonderful crisp. The beef short ribs according to my brother were delectable he was singing praises on the first bite. My entrée was the Akai Tuna medium and it was perfect I also had the mash potatoes. The double burger was ordered as well as the Salmon everything was perfect. If you want or are in need of a good steakhouse this is your place trust me.

The steaks ordered medium rare came out medium well and the Oscar was so fishy I couldn't eat it. We didn't finish our filets because they were chewy *3 of them) In my opinion,  a filet mignon should be tender but maybe it's because they were overcooked. We were charged for 2 Oscar's but only got one. The waitress said the head chef had just quit and moved to Vegas so they scrambled for a replacement. I don't remember a more disappointing steak dinner anywhere and no one asked us if they were correct.

An absolutely incredible dining experience. I should have take more pictures, but was so impressed with the food I completely forgot. It goes without saying, get a steak. But, the appetizers and sides are equally as impressive. There is also a really nice seating area outside for drinks and cigars (bring your own) which is a really nice treat.

Great steak house that serves a very generous portion. I had the lobster + fillet combo and you was delicious. The servers are very nice and chatty, a little bit salesy though... And but the atmosphere is classy and of the type of fine dining that you expect.

Ive always walked pass this wonderful place on the beltline every since the ending of the Pandemic and wondered what it was like inside and the food. From the ambiance to the service, the lemon drop martini and the food did not disappoint. I had the catch of the day Rainbow trout, creamy corn, the creamy spinach and it didn't stand a chance towards my appetite. Would definitely return after I circle back around on my steakhouse tour in Atlanta. Highly recommend you check this restaurant out..

Rathbun's Steakhouse will never disappoint you in any way! I didn't have reservations, but the wait is always worth it! From beginning to the end of your dinning experience will be phenomenal. Mr. Rathbun was nominated at my job"State Farm Arena" via "The Hawks" for his relentless work in the community. Hats off to you sir...

Took my husband for his birthday. We love steakhouses have been to a plethora of them. There's valet parking for a nominal fee. The ambiance was nice, and the noise level was vibrant (moderately loud), but we could still hear each other. There were a lot of large groups dining. Our server was amazing and made the experience nice. We tried the Thick Cut Bacon for an appetizer, and it was delicious. My husband had the Cowboy Ribeye, which was 18 oz. He didn't finish it. I had the 6oz filet mignon, butterflied. We both ordered the black truffle butter, delish. Our sides were amazing: Brussels Sprouts, Jalepeno Creamed Corn, and Creamy Mashed Potatoes. I didn't care for my 1st cocktail, so I exchanged and got a Lemon Drop. I didn't like it either, drank less than half. It wasn't sweet to my liking and didn't taste the lemon. For dessert, we got the Key Lime Cheesecake, and I didn't like it. Couldn't taste the key lime, and it wasn't sweet. Overall, we had a good experience and would return and recommend it to others. Unfortunately, we left our bagged food. 😳

We had an excellent meal at our first visit to Kevin Rathbun Steak. We started with the excellent lobster fritters, lightly fried tempura style with a citrusy, tangy sauce. For our entree we chose the dry aged porterhouse steak with a delicious pan sauce and garlic butter. The food was excellent, and we will be back.

Atlanta Eats was spot on!! Great food and better service. We had the lobster fritters and Japanese BBQ Wagyu Short Ribs for appetizers. Not too bad. The main course we had the Pan Roasted Divers Scallops, 10 oz Ribeye, and 8oz New York Strip. Great choices. The vegetables were more than enough. Try the roasted brussel sprouts. The drinks weren't watered-down. I'd go back.

Great location on the belt line. A high class ambiance with cheaper prices. Not a high quality steakhouse but a large variety of entrees outside of steak. The manager berated my brother-in-law over their toddler's noise. Food was good and staff was attentive nice and courteous. Not steakhouse quality food the lower price reflects quality. 18 year old's birthday 6pm dinner reservation 8 adults 3 toddlers (3 yrs, 2 yrs and 11 months old). Table's opinion of food: Smoke on water drink -terrible jalapeno spice infused drink. Lemon drop -fine Long Island -good flavor decently strong Bread -interesting, fresh, good Egg plant fries -decent with a very hot sauce Lobster fritters (4) -fantastic Oysters half shell - fresh, good Cowboy ribeye 18 ounce - tender, wish it had more crust/sear. It felt more like a roast but was smaller than a typical cowboy ribeye. Ribeye 10 ounces - great flavor, good crust small. Risotto - great texture and tasty Mashed potatoes - fine Creamed spinach - good

Oh my word! Delicious. Our server Emily was fantastic and gave us recommendations that did not disappoint. Wine list was top of the line, appetizers and meal were knock out, and the sides were good. For the price you are getting top service, the best quality and a fabulous atmosphere.

My husband brought me here for my birthday. It was a nice experience, and the service was nice. I tried the dry aged cowboy ribeye, and my husband had the filet. My steak was ok. I wanted it cooked medium, but it came out well done. Not a lot of flavor, but it had a nice sear. My husband’s filet was amazing though. Also, the chopped salad was delicious. I expected more since I heard so many great things, but it wasn’t a terribly disappointing experience.

My husband and I came here for his birthday! No words can express how impressed I was! The care, ambiance, and food were ALL tremendous! The team member that assisted us throughout our evening was just a joy, kind and genuine! He always made sure to check on us but not too much, he was perfect! The bread they served, TOO AMAZING! My husband got a beer and I had a special request for a mock-tail, they were so nice in serving the drink to make me feel like I wasn’t missing out, plus it was just right, I asked for a second one! I got one of the specials, the sea bass and it was just perfection! The lobster mac ‘n cheese, how can you not?? My husband of course got a steak (also cooked to perfection) and the double loaded baked potatoes, these were SO WORTH IT! I think we’ll have to come back because I just want to try all of the desserts!! Overall great job to the team! Kudos for following CDC safety guidelines, I was impressed with the level of safety and care for everyone!

I was going to give it a 4 star rating because one of the waitresses was very rude and apparently not happy to be serving us. But the other one was very knowledgeable and friendly and the food was delicious. The Ribeye melted in my mouth and the beet salad and wedge salad were both fresh and full of flavor. Top if off with the bread pudding and I was in heaven. I will definitely go back.

Have been wanting to come here for awhile, we came for our 1 year anniversary and so glad we did! We made reservations for the cellar room, as it’s more quiet intimate vibe with candles. We shared the dry aged steak for two - delicious! We ordered the black truffle butter as many reviewed it but we didn’t feel it was needed. Loved the preservation of the steak, with the as Jus sauce. The pomme frites and Brussels sprouts were both good (though we like Brussels from Wysteria better!) Because we were celebrating our anniversary, they gave us our choice of a free desert which was nice. Our waitress was Nicole and she was very knowledgeable of the menu. Love the attention to detail!

Amazing! I went here as one of my birthday gifts with my family. Valet was great. Our server Rick made our experience top notch. He was very attentive, knowledgeable, fast, friendly, and fun. He definitely went above and beyond to make us feel good. The restaurant's fine décor and candlelight gave it a romantic ambience, but it’s still a nice setting for a group outing. On top of that, the food and drinks were delicious. I ordered a lemon drop and a sweet red wine which Rick suggested, but I can’t remember the name. Mark my words, they’re are not stingy with the alcohol! For my appetizer I had the short ribs and lobster fritters. For my entree I had the dry aged cowboy ribeye topped with the oscar style and the Mac and cheese. For my birthday dessert I chose the four cheese cheesecake with this citrus glaze which is to die for! Kevin Rathbun Steak was worth my presence and I highly recommend it. We will definitely be returning soon.

Pretty disappointed honestly. I had really high hopes for this place. Both of our steaks were undercooked to the point where I couldn’t eat mine. I took it home so I could cook it more and eat it later. Definitely wasn’t wasting a $100 steak. I’m not a send a steak back kinda guy in a place like this, I don’t want to insult. My steak was also quite tough in some spots with gristle which was even more surprising for the level of steakhouse I thought this was. The lobster appetizer and sides were really good though, I got the grits and my wife got jalapeño cream corn, the bread they brought out before the meal was just okay, and the German chocolate bon bons were a nice choice for desert. The place seemed like it wasn’t off its game tonight. Even Mr. Rathbun (I think it was him) came out to a table next to us to apologize to them for something. Im sure it was just our experience and most others love it. Last but not least, the service was excellent.

Service by Alison was superb. Great menu selection and the ambiance was epic. The ribeye was a disappointment. It was over cooked, however i did not send it back because it was already 9pm and this soul was hungry. The filet look like a better choice. The sides were excellent and deserts were a 6 out of 10. Service a solid 10/10

I visited with a friend for my birthday in July and everything was wonderful! Our server was friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were amazing. My steak was prepared exactly like I asked. The scallops and brussel sprouts were delicious. The bread pudding was also great. Valet parking is available. It seems like a very nice spot for an intimate dinner!

Great service. Great food. Steaks always comes out the way we ordered them, the right color and temperature. Have a variety of side dishes that make it hard to decide which ones to get. Always go here for special occasions, like birthday, anniversary, friend's birthday.

I can honestly say this was the best meal I've ever had. There was nothing that was brought to me that wasn't delicious. So much so it was hard to choose. I'm fairly new to fine dining but this place was great. Especially for a date. The atmosphere was nice and dimly lit. The waiter was knowledgeable and very helpful in us making choices. It is expensive but worth the price with the quality of the food. I can't wait to be able to go there again.

Great ambiance. The side dishes and dessert was amazing. The steak (10 oz. Ribeye- not pictured) was just okay. The meat was chewy and not easy to cut through. Definitely not what I expected based on the price. After dinner the waiter said my debit card was declined, but there was absolutely no reason for that. Overall, it was okay, but not great, which was disappointing for such a high priced place. (Our dinner, with tip, was $280 for 2 people)

Was a very pleasant spur of the moment Friday night dining experience. John was our server who was very thorough and knowledgeable in regards to the menu and specials. We enjoyed a little bit of everything from the Black grouper special, dry aged 22 oz Cowboy Ribeye, King Crab with Thick cut bacon and the Duck confit fous grais special. Absolutely Delicious. To top it off the caramelized Creme Brulee with chocolate chip cookie was in the top 3 best I have ever had. Great job Kevin Rathbun ( or whoever is responsible for bringing together a good team well equipped to satisfy anyone's taste buds)! This is coming from someone who eats a lot of exquisite meals all around the world.

This is an experience of a life. I'm a very picky steak eater, due to improper cooking, however, this place was amazing and exceeded my expectations. Firstly, the entrance to the restaurant is beautiful. The outdoor furniture compliments the flowers and greenery perfectly. It's welcoming and shunning on a bright cool day. Once you enter the restaurant, it sets the bar higher for the food, beverage, and service. The restaurant is cozy, romantic with dim lights and candles on every table, plus modern and classy. It's perfect for couples honestly. I took my mother on her birthday, but I was just repeating in my head how I would love to take my spouse on a relaxing date out in the town here. I would live personally in the restaurant if I could, the energy and vibe is chill, cool, and you feel as if you're in another world. Secondly, our server was amaze balls and made the experience for us three times better. His name is Rick and he is the sweetest, funniest, attentive, and all round a great being. I will come back just for him honestly. His customer service skills are like no other. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and the specials they had. His recommendations were delicious, a man of great taste, and he was just all I ever wanted in a server and person period. Thirdly, the food was speechless. You know when you do your happy dance because something is just that good, while the food will have you dancing. I ordered my steak medium rare and it was perfectly cooked plus made with super amounts of love. The charcoal accents from the grill added to the flavor and sent my mouth on an adventure. The lobster mac and cheese was to die for in addition, the charred jalapeno corn was just what the doctor ordered. Their oyster are fresh as if they were caught this morning, and the dessert was heavenly. I left in a food coma and ready for a nap because it was that good. If you want amazing food with great service then this is the place to be, and let's not forget the steaks are the best I've ever had. Sorry pops but their steaks beats you today. Did I mention how amazing Rick was? Please look for Rick and tell him I love him plus I sent you over for the meal of a lifetime.

Omg! The ambiance was perfect! The service was immaculate. We had the porterhouse steak for 2, jalapeño cream corn, fried Brussels sprouts, oysters, truffle fries and it was our 22nd Anniversary together so the desert was everything…. Plus! We got to meet Kevin who was welcoming, and nice. I highly recommend and if your cheap go to Outback because this place is TOP TIER! Very appropriate for date night and first date! The drinks was good my husband had a French Connection and I had the girly drink.

The food was amazing and the service was even better, from the busboy to the managers. Santiago was such a delight, Irv was a dream, and Eleanor rounded out the whole meal with her genuine positive energy, as soon as either of them approached the table I could feel that they really cared about our experience and wanted to make sure it was great. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for exceptional food and service.

Enjoyed great service and EXCELLENT food - for dinner with business colleagues. Kevin Rathburn’s is a MUST visit while in Atlanta. Great for a date night or business dinner - the steaks are some of the best we have ever had! The sweet potatoes are DELISH! When we visit Atlanta, Kevin Rathburn’s is a must visit on our list. Reservations are recommended, however we were pleased to get a last minute walk in for our party of 5. The servers & staff are outstanding!

Mixed Feelings at Kevin Rathbun Steakhouse. My wife and I visited Kevin Rathbun Steakhouse in Atlanta with high hopes, but the experience was a mixed bag. The hostess's attire seemed out of sync with the restaurant's fine dining ambiance, which was a bit off-putting right from the start. For our special anniversary dinner, we were initially seated in a high-traffic area. Although the staff did accommodate our request for a more private spot, the process was somewhat awkward, and we only ended up in a slightly better booth. On a positive note, our server was excellent, and the service was prompt. The appetizers and side dishes met our expectations, showcasing the quality I anticipated. However, the drinks were a letdown, particularly my wife's cocktail, which was overly sweet and syrupy to the point of being undrinkable. A major disappointment was the main course. We expected a top-notch filet, given the restaurant's reputation, but it fell short. The steak was undercooked and tough, which was surprising and unacceptable for a reputed steakhouse. The highlight of our dinner was the dessert. The peanut butter banana cream pie was exceptional and truly saved the evening. In summary, I expected a 5-star experience but left feeling it was more of a 3-star visit. Considering the high price and the mixed quality of food and service, I'm hesitant to return, especially with so many other dining options available in the area.

Good. Steak was on point. Everything else was fine, but just not great. I didn't do well with pictures. We had: Thick cut bacon and lobster fritters for apps Ceasar salad Filet Asparagus, creamed spinach, sweet potato souffle (or something like that, that was a standout dish for me), Mac and cheese. Then dessert was the creme brulet, and a couple of other things.

Excellent food, wine and service! The inside was booked so we took an outside table which once the sun went down it made it hard to see but the next time we'll book far enough in advance to sit inside. The interior was beautiful too.

I usually don’t find expensive places to be worth it, but this was the closest I’ve gotten to that. The spinalis steak was something I hadn’t seen before, and was just great. The seafood tower was amazing too, and the experience was somewhat worth it.

We started with the fois gras appetizer which was served on small homemade cornbread patty and served with a homemade marmalade. The combination of flavors and perfectly cooked fois gras made it the best we ever tasted anywhere! Then we had to try the Wagyu shortrib appetizer. It was served on stick with special balsamic glaze, drizzled sauces - creamy Vidalia onion aioli, it was tender and as delicious as you could possibly imagine! We decided to share our main dish - the cowboy Rib Eye, which was cooked and seasoned to perfection! It was served over another plate on an angle so the juice could be captured on one end and spooned over your precut strips of steak. The sides were no less impressive with caramelized onions, charred jalapeños cream corn - a must have signature side, some sautéed mushrooms I've never heard of which was smooth and mild, a little like shitake but better and more exotic!, then there was the scalloped mix of regular and sweet potatoes au gratin in a creamy sauce covered with gruyere cheese! At this point we would usually skip desert as we would be full from all this delicious food, but given it was a special birthday meal, I ordered the white chocolate Creme Brule which had a refreshing layer of plum, sour cherry gelee on the bottom which blended beautifully with the smooth and creamy custard, the crust was light and not to sweet - officially now my favorite! Donna had to try the cofee toffee Bon Bons! An espresso chocolate sauce, chocolate croquant with a smooth almost ice cream like center - unique to anything we've had before! Our server Todd, was spot on! friendly, unpretentious, knowledgeable and timing of his team superb!

A vendor took me out to dinner here for work. I can’t say I’d ever come to a place like this if not for the invite, but I’m really glad I went. This is a posh and expensive steakhouse that serves all the mains a La carte and all the sides family style, and everything is very expensive. My dry aged ribeye steak was $100, and it wasn’t the most expensive on the menu. Jalapeño corn was delicious as were the “off menu” carrots with carrot-green chimi churi. The ribeye was fantastic. Service terrific. Our server, Jesse, was well versed in the menu, and was extremely attentive. I can’t say I’d ever be back, but that’s because it’s in ATL, and it’s a bit outside of my typical price range.

Delightful dinner last night with family and friends. We were seated promptly and greeted by our server. The ambiance is very appealing , great lighting, very warm comfy place. Drinks arrived quickly as did our fresh oysters which were very tasty. Steaks were cooked perfectly and everyone cleared their plates. Please bring the baked Alaska. I hear it was very good and love baked Alaska. I was very pleased with the prices. My only gripe was the table, we were a party of 5 seated in a narrow table along the wall that seats five people facing into the restaurant, not great for conversation, I'm sure they would have moved us, but next time I'll insure I request a different table. We will be back for sure.

Great from start to finish. They have outdoor seating with heaters. I'm always cold so these heaters were great because I was comfy with just a sweater on. Social distanced and all staff wears masks and don't get close to you. Service was amazing and everyone was so nice. They 'redid' my birthday...we went to STK and had a horrific experience...but K.Rathbun made up for all of it. Thanks Nick!!

So, 1st I’ve been wanting a great steak for sometime now. So I decided that I would go to the best in the city. But wasn’t quit as I thought😤. So I ordered a 60 day dry aged ribeye that was to be the best they had, the flavor was very good but the steak 🥩 was tough, was very hard to chew, eat, swallow, and I have was lookin crazy trying to eat. I asked the waiter about the issue he acts as if I didn’t know what I’m talking about as if I’m dumb my wife and I travel for great food a know very much of how a steak should be. I wasn’t impressed I noticed we were not getting the same service after I told him about this so we paid the high bill and left 😤 I very much hope some there reads this and gets this right I rarely never leaves reviews but when your restaurant steaks supposed to be top class they need to know! Kitchen needs work I think place is over rated I should not have to fly to another state for a great steakhouse. Very nice place I will give them that.

Better than the bacon or lobster fritters in our opinion. Caesar is solid and the steaks were good. Mine was too charred but some people like that. I may ask for mine to be less charred next time. Sides: mushroom risotto (ok), fried okra (good) and highlight of the three, jalapeno creamed corn - amazing! We finished the evening with the apple molton cake and coffee. Thank you for a wonderful evening!!

I own a restaurant that was recently voted Best of the Best Restaurant in our area. I have an amazing Chef who has spoiled me. It is rare that I can go out to another restaurant and not be disappointed. Kevin Rathbun Steak was an extremely pleasant surprise. Every meal waa flavored and cooked perfectly. The service was phenomenal. The desserts were absolutely amazing. I would welcome the opportunity to go back. And I NEVER say that.

Great service, great food and good cocktails. Twice baked potato, jalapeño cream corn, Korean short rib and lobster fritters, and the ribeye 🤤 were my favorites. Oh and the apple caramel cake w/vanilla ice cream for my husband's birthday was yummy too. It was easy to make a reservation online, staff wore masks (covid), nice spacious outdoor seating available right on the belt line, great for dog watching.

Best steak in town. It's a personal opinion but it was developed after eating at Hal's, Bones and other top Steak houses in Atlanta. I manage several top dollar accounts and when I have to entertain, Kevin Rathbun Steak always delivers

Best steak I have ever had! Awesome service and great ambiance. We had the lobster fritters, steak for two, jalapeno corn and garlic spinach. I didn't love the Summer's End Cocktail but everything else was perfection. We'll definitely be back.

This visit was one of my birthday gifts from my daughter, accompanied by my 14 year old Grandson. Our RSVP was for an early arrival. The ambience was a very relaxed vibe and once inside and seated I was very pleased. This was my first visit to this restaurant and the entrées were prepared per our specifications with no complaints. The service was genuine and professional which was displayed by entire staff, masks were relevant upon entering while being escorted too your table. You didn't feel rushed and they made sure you were not overlooked nor felt rushed. The service was excellent. I definitely would recommend this Restaurant to others because my first visit speaks volume therefore, This 5-⭐ was definitely earned by the crew at this location 👏🏻 .

Unfortunately, my experience at Kevin Rathbun Steak was mediocre at best. I do believe giving credit where credit is due, so let me start off with the positives. Reservations were easy to make, and the ambiance, the host staff, & the wait staff were amazing!!! The dim lighting and peaceful atmosphere were the perfect setting for our 4th anniversary dinner. After wanting to change our reserved seating preference, the host staff were quickly accommodating with no questions asked. Our waitress was very attentive and even offered us a free dessert to celebrate our anniversary! Nice touch! However, when it came to our food & [non- alcoholic] drinks, we were a lot less impressed. The bread that was served was not warm. We ordered an appetizer of Japanese BBQ Wagyu Short Rib Skewers that did not suite our tastes buds so we returned it. My husband ordered a Shirley Temple, which was watery (& all the refills that followed). My husband also ordered the KRS Prime Burger (which he actually enjoyed) and the Parmesan Fries, which he said were also not warm. I ordered the 10oz Ribeye (my favorite cut of steak) & the Seasonal Mushrooms (my absolute favorite vegetables). The ribeye was perfectly cooked on the inside, but the outside was ridiculously over charred... literally black. So much so that I could not eat more than 2 bites. Additionally, the mushrooms were bland and flavorless. Needless to say, I was HIGHLY disappointed!!! We don't believe in keep sending food back. So essentially, with tip added, we ended up paying over $100 for a delicious burger and some good water with lemon...& still had to stop for food on the way home. :-(

Incredible restaurant at a great location right by the Atlanta Beltline. Had the best dry aged steak so far. Our server was very knowledgeable of the menu and made very good suggestions that were all very appreciated! The restaurant also has an excellent wine menu with a wide price range. Overall very professional service and extremely helpful staff that contribute positively to the whole experience. Will be definitely going back.

Best restaurant in ATL, and one of the top in the nation for beef!! That’s what you get when your serving Allen Brothers, their products are top notch and the preparation by the team at Rathburn Steak is equally as good. Their apps, sides and deserts are incredible and the service is some of the best in the south! Worth every penny. Located on the Atlanta Beltline which offers a lot of other alternatives for you visitors to the region. Plenty of other bars and breweries nearby. Valet parking, and a nice bar if you get there before the rest of your party. We’ll done KRS!

Great atmosphere, decor and service. The steak was just ok. Not the best steak I've had nor the worst. I expected better flavor from the 10 oz ribeye, but was disappointed. The steak was cooked to my specs, but lacked the flavor I usually expect from a ribeye. The lobster fritters, parmesan fries and spinach were good, but not exceptional.

😠 DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! Terrible service! The server cannot remember what you ordered…it cannot be that hard to write it down. Friends waited for (Hennessy) drinks…at the same table for an hour and 15min. It took the bartender 3 tries….It took over an hour to get food even with a reservation. YOU CAN...
