This store carries exercise equipment, apparel, shoes, camping gear, hunting and fishing gear with bait, bikes, games, trampolines and more. Staff were very friendly, we love this place.

This is probably the best Academy Sports in Georgia. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The hunting department is always fully stocked with ammunition, guns and plenty of accessories. The prices are great and if a firearm has a rebate the staff will let you know. I’ve been to several Academy’s and this has to be the best one.

There was a display outside of the building that was a deer stand on sale. There were none in the store and they checked and none were available on line or in nearby stores. I asked if I could buy the display and the manager said no. To me that's false advertising, but I guess it's his call. They should at least remove the display in front of the store or offer a raincheck.

The service was top notch! We paid for a bike online. Our store associate took her time to make sure the booked was a comfortable for and type for my daughter.

If you order something from the web site and it tells you same day pick up. It more than likely will not be ready tell the next day. That is if they have it in there inventory. The web site will tell you they have things in stock when they do not. You call to check and get an attitude of how dare you waste my time. Speaking of attitudes. I have only meet one employee that did not have one. Everyone else has a horrible customer service skills. Ashely the store clerk manger comes of racist and horribly bad attitude. Do not come in between 8-9. Only thing there trying to do is get out of there. What Ashley told me. Like to evidently send the curb side guy home early as well so there is no curb side from 7-9? This place stinks!

Didn't have the item we we're looking for but online it said it was in stock. Also I had to look for an employee to help me look for the item. The security was following us like we weren't going to pay. Definitely will not be returning again.

Really nicebl deals on apparel as well as some camp/ sports equip (spec. Shoes i.e. work boots, local gear i.e. Falcons & UGA hats n shirts) So many clearance/sale items I would normally say they're just sales on inflated prices but they were cheap. Clean Store. Only issue the section with used shoes needed work (approx. 2 isles out of abt 12 total shoe)I.know its probably tough to keep it up but that's the deal..Nice selection of knives + accessories and some arms. Finally a nice cpl of isles for the pups(pillows, toys, training)

Went looking for a specific feeder and online it was green. So, myself and my bf were looking and couldn't find it. Jarod (store manager) was super friendly and courteous. He went out of his way to help and he even found the feeder we wanted ( it was a sandy tan colored instead which is even better. Highly recommend this store. Young man at the door was courteous and very willing to help.

Not a good place! Their return policy sucks EVEN with a receipt! Forget about asking for help from their manager, he/she didn’t even bother to come to help. Instead he/she relays his/her message to the cashier instead of having the courtesy to come to greet his/her customers.

I can usually find what I want at this store, but I was looking for girls bike accessories and they had very little to look at. We needed a basket and a light. They did not have the headlight and the basket that they had was for a toddler. I also needed to get a water bottle holder, but they have the same one I bought five years ago, and it is too weak to hold the bottle. The store was very clean, many other stores are not clean for lack of employees. Their bathroom was clean, which was a pleasant surprise. Other stores in the area that I had been shopping in had pretty nasty bathrooma.

I must say I was very impressed with the service I received. I purchased my first Taurus 38 special from Josh. He was extremely helpful and down to earth. Every question I asked of him was answered. Josh was a very knowledgeable employee. Himself, Gabino , and Elliott had awesome customer service skills. They have certainly made a loyal customer out of me. The gun counter was very organized and I felt safe. The approval process of my firearm purchase was quick and easy. The greeter pointed us to exactly where we needed to go to find our tailgating pop-up and chairs. They were very affordable at $6/chair, and the propane was HALF the price I'd already paid on Amazon. Next time, I'll definitely be grabbing those locally.

Costmer service was great they wasn't out of anything I was just coming to get stuff for volleyball ball stuff and I found everything fast!

The store was well organized and clean. My husband needed handles for bands last minute. He was not impressed with the handle selection but it was better than nothing. Overall great place if you need something on the fly. The prices were on the higher end and the sales just seemed like the regular prices.

Academy always has the largest selection of sportswear at pretty reasonable prices. They also have everything from children's playground sets, camping gear, shoes, clothes and work out equipment to so much more.

Customer service is severely lacking here. First, the associates weren't knowledgeable about different types of coats on display, and when I asked for someone to check other stores for the availability of a specific coat that I wanted, I was told that they didn't have the capability to check other stores, which is false. One employee actually told me to leave and check online at home. I asked for a manager, Brad, and he was able to check several stores in the surrounding area. However, instead of apologizing for his associates lying, he made excuses and said "all employees there didn't have the tools necessary to check inventory at other stores." But, they knew others in the store that had the ability.

Bought a bike from there and returned due to an issue. Very easy process no questions asked. I found the staff is very helpful but had to wait over longer (~15 minutes) to show up… happened twice.

This Academy is ok. I primarily come here for fishing equipments/lures and they have a decent selection. I wish someone would manage it better though because it can often be a mess, especially where the rods are displayed. Decent sales from time to time. They have an ok camping section as well, plus all of your average sports related stuff for the kids. Customer service can range from pretty good to a little below average depending on the day it seems.

Hands down one of the best places to visit for your outdoor, sports, and basic needs. Staff and customer service is fantastic at this location. Definitely want to mention the staff that helped me and did a phenomenal job doing so. Which is Elliot, Sterling, Yasmin, Jesse, and the rest of the team in the hunting section. Manager threatening to break people's necks and acting like he wants to fight. No one in the store knows how to do their job. The store messed up a gift exchange and then offered apology or anything to make up for the massive inconvenience and waste of time. Waiting on corporate to investigate and hopefully I'll be hearing a very good apology and that the wanna be gangster manager has been fired.

Just went and bought my hubby a gun for his birthday and I have to say that China was amazing! She was extremely helpful in the process and very knowledgeable. I will definitely purchase more firearms at this location.

Hands down the best and biggest location I have ever visited with these guys. I bought something online and brought it here to return and it was so seamless and easy. As I walked around the store, each department was gigantic and fully stocked, and the staff was absolutely top notch. Each time a staff member encountered me, they spoke and asked if I needed any help. Overall my new favorite sporting goods store when I need something.

I went in with my husband because he wanted a camera for hunting but I really wanted to look at the clothes and sneakers😃. He found a Stealth Cam camera at a great price. The video and picture quality are great. I'll go back to the store alone so I can look at clothes and shoes in peace😂

I’ve shopped at Academy Sports ever since they opened in Snellville. They’re well stocked in every department. They run regular sales throughout the year. I buy most of my tennis shoes at Academy. Very good prices. It would be helpful if they added a few extra cashiers during busy times.

Don't order anything online and expect someone to bring your purchase to your car via curbside pick-up. I waited the 10 minutes alloted via the app, only to have to go into the store then...I had to stand in line just to pick my item up. Never again!!! They need better customer service!

I am very please to say that they earned 5 stars and more, the staff is friendly, compant, and helpful. They absolutely went out of there way to help me find a gift that no one else had. It's so refreshing to see great customer service.

Don't look for customer service with a smile here. I like Academy Sports for my husband's work shoes and workout gear. But they really need to step up with their customer/service associates. They see you struggling to reach a top shelf box and they keep walking by. Really?? Not a word or offer to help. At check out, not a smile and not one word from associate. Could have spent my $250 plus somewhere else. I hope the manager sees this and takes some action.

I shopped the week before school opened, so finding lower prices tennis was not an option. However, the selection was pretty good and the quality was there. I like that I didn't have to find a staff member to measure my grandson's feet. The devices were strategically placed.

Great place for fishing equip...not for fitness. The brands of equipment that Academy carries are lacking quality. Perhaps great for a 13 year old who wants to workout in their garage. However, for people who are even slightly more interested in fitness, there are better quality options for very simular price points.

Great in store experience with Jian. Only issue was my items rang up without the 25% off which was advertised. I had to go back to the sales floor and show Jian and he finally approved it. I went to the restroom and while in there checked online and indeed the items were to be 25% off. What if I didn't make a fuss?

Drove 45 minutes here because the website updated stating they had 7 types of ammo in stock. Get there and I’m told “should’ve called” and they had absolutely nothing. If something is hard to find, then update your website accordingly. Not the employees fault.

Shoe dept was a mess and extremely unorganized but the sales were good on some shoes and cashier was helpful. Shoes not priced anywhere on shelf that wrang up alot higher actually double the cost as same pair in other color went back up. To academy sports online I went and ordered thenm at the lower cost.
