The music is usually good here with a good variety between throwbacks and modern hip hop and Spanish music. It's all just good dancing music. There's a band from 8 or 9 until about 10:40, at which point a DJ takes over. There is a decent selection of drinks but the wait staff can take a while. If you go find your waiter and bug them they'll have no issue helping you out. This place is definitely nothing special, as evidenced by the $5 cover (or free before 10 or 11 PM). The crowd is usually 30s and 40s aged people and up. Sometimes there are people from the younger crowd here, but not too often. On more than one occasion there has been an older guy or two creeping on women, but it's not really a huge issue. This is generally a good place to start the night before going to other clubs. But staying here for the night isn't half bad.

The bands that play here are awesome. The waitresses are excellent. Every time I go, the waitresses have my drink order ready before I sit at my usual table. The crowd is usually upbeat and ready to dance.

Excellent DJ / dancing Saturday nights starting at 11 pm. Philly crowd is a bit crazy but I think that adds to the vibe :)

Expensive drinks and slow service from surly bartenders is the norm at Tangos. Add to that their bossy almost belligerent evening security staff and you have a really overpriced, mediocre entertainment value. The bands are good which saved them from an otherwise deserved one star rating.

Rude Staff Carmen came to our table picked up our drink cups which were empty but she didn't ask were we done or did we need anything else. We I professionally addressed her and made her aware of what she did. She said to me what do you want me to do about it! I kindly said to her I just wanted to make you aware of your actions. She was a older lady with a very nasty attitude. Never again would I support this establishment. The drinks are high and not worth the unprofessional service. 👎🏾

A lively hot spot with cool drinks and DJs spinning hot sounds. Casual attire, cards and cash accepted. A small Cover charge at times. Wheelchair accessible, as well. Have fun!

Rudest staff imaginable. I have been coming to the Tropicana for fifteen years and never have I had to buy water to sit and listen to the music. Went on sept 24 and the waiter demanded that I change my order from a glass of water to a bottle of water cause I have to pay for drinks.

Drinks tasted like there was no alcohol in it, tasted horribly and was over charged. No one could even finish their drinks and our bill was outrageous. Do not suggest for getting drinks.

Cheap plastic cups for all liquor(even top shelf) and beer. Only around 7oz or so and expensive. Only wine was served in glasswear?? Shameful for such a nice place. Also i was not allowed to change wear I was sitting without settling up my tab? Rude and inconvenient considering they had my card on file. Typical constantly rotating bar staff. Will go elsewhere.

Fun place to listen to music and have a drink ans relax.

This is the most fantastic bar in Tropicana, they have bands on most nights, and the staff are the most attentive. I come here in the evening as the last place before going to bed, wow this is the best bar. Cheers

Always a good time-dance, watch people dance and great drinks! It's a fantastic warm up or wind down before going to the clubs; whenever they open that is!

Love tangos its one of the best places in the TROP! Always love music sometimes just spinning. No food though but it makes up for it with the comfy chairs and small, dark, intimate setting.
