The live entertainment was amazing! ("Amazing Grace" she song so many great Oldie hits) They honored our reservation and we were seated quickly. The service was fabulous and food was hot and fantastic and came out quickly considering they were packed! Our server was great! Definitely will return again soon!

Went here for brunch on a rainy Saturday. Place was packed with a wait so we were seated at the bar, which had the advantage of being near the self serve buffet line. We’ve been to their sister location many times and, in both locations, the food quality is superb! The bartender/server was friendly and attentive. Everyone else, including hostess, omelette maker, cashier and others were all extremely friendly and welcoming. Make sure to ask about the waffles they make fresh in the kitchen, including sweet potato and red velvet…yum!!Minus one star as the decor could use a little refresh and the buffet selection was not as extensive as expected. The price was a little on the higher side but did include tax and gratuity.

I had a exciting time at Kelsey's. I had to wait in line to get but it was worth it. The atmosphere was energetic. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and tasty. I order the corn bread Basket which was very good. I also order the smothered Turkey chops with onions. My sides was potato salad and candied yams. Every thing was very good.

Atmosphere Food and Service was A1! Me and my husband went Sunday afternoon about 10 minutes before they opened and it was already a line. The line moved fast and we were seated. Server was a little slow bringing our meals and drinks out but I notice there were only 2-3 servers. So understandable. My husband order the bang bang shrimp which was okish. Shrimps were small and tasted like the shell was still on the shrimp. I ordered the shrimp and grits and was SO MAD I couldn't eat it all because I got full 😩 They were sooo good!!! Grits was creamy the flavors all blended well and it came with four huge shrimps and two small circle sliced sausages. At first I was going to complain about the lack of sausages but when i ate one I understood why there were only two. Them things are SPICY! One small bite cleared my throat, headache, impure thoughts and if I had covid im sure it would've cleared that too! So I broke it up and mixed it together in the grits ahmazing! The sauce they used with it had me drooling! I also had the sweet potato cheesecake OH👏🏽MY 👏🏽GOD that was definitely " just take my money" good! The slice I had was creamy rich and the flavors from both cheesecake and sweet potato were indescribable good! I'm mad I didn't get some to go. I also had the greens and sweet potatoes. Greens were really good. Sweet potatoes were waaay.. too sweet. I'm somone that loves yams with brown and white sugar with marshmallows and this was too sweet for me. I think the syrup that was added was probably what caused the imbalance. But I also had a fishbowl drink and that was sooo sooo soooo good! Definitely a favorite place! Make sure you MAKE A RESERVATION DAYS IN ADVANCE. So worth it!

My brother and I had our 1st visit to Kelsey's this past Wednesday after a fun day at the Atlantic City Air Show. They did not disappoint! We were seated in a timely manner after waiting in line for about 15 minutes. Our server was friendly and attentive. Our appetizer and entrees were served fast. The food was well-prepared, delicious and had ample portions. Doggie bag please! We will definitely come again when we visit Atlantic City. Thank you Kelsey's! 💞

I don’t know what the big deal is about this place. We waited 45min to get in. I ordered the smothered pork chops, Mac n cheese, & greens. Cornbread was ordered separately which is a rip off! My husband got fried chicken, cabbage, & Mac n cheese. He wanted green beans but the waiter said no green beans on menu. So one the food came we were excited to eat. OMG it was horrible!!!! Cabbage was too sweet, man n cheese was just Mac because the cheese was dry as heck! No cheesiness at All! My pork chops was too thick n dry!!!! Everything came up to $89. It was a waste of money!!! I’m still wondering why was the cabbage that sweet. Sugar should not be in cabbage!!! If you want to get Diabetes go here, if you want a delicious, bomb cooked meal come to my house! My food is wayyyyyyyyyyy better than this trash!!!!!!!!!

Kelsey's never disappoints! Always delicious! We went on a Thursday evening and got in right before the line started forming around the block. My favorite is the fried chicken, mac n cheese and yams. Our server was fantastic! She made all of our requests happen. She was very kind. Always so good!

Best soul food around. I went on a Friday night, there was a live band....so much fun. But make reservations or expect the wait to be 45 min to an hour. Good soul food, good music. I will definitely make this a frequent favorite of mines when im in Atlantic City!!!! 5 stars hands downs

A long line outside so we ate at the bar which was good,the barmaid was very nice and helpful!! The food was good my fish and shrimp combo was good also the Mac n cheese was outstanding that and the Bang Bang shrimp(appetizers),my wife's BBQ short rib was good but some parts were too fatty and a little too charred and chewy.Other than that I would've given them 5 stars!! But We are definitely coming back!!

The food was delicious. Everything was fresh and the proportions are enough for two. The waffle was fluffy and you could taste the vanilla. The chicken was crispy but bland, however went well with the waffle. The sweet tea is delicious but beware it is considered a special drink and you are not allowed refills. We waited in line for over an hour. We were greeted several times by the derelicts of the city while waiting. Overall the food is good.

The line outside confirmed what I read prior to visiting.. this place was bomb! There was live music (amazing!) The food was delicious, and our waiter (Ray) was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back.

I went here for my birthday dinner and i loveddd the food. I got the blackened Salomon & shrimp Alfredo, bang bang shrimp, tequila flight and my friends got fried chicken, baked Mac, yams and greens. EVERYTHING tasted amazing, the hostess was a little rude to my party but nothing major. I would recommend 😋

Kelsey’s never disappoints! We enjoyed a yummy brunch with endless fresh choices including made to order omelettes waffles and fish. The staff was friendly and engaging, and the music was enjoyable. The environment was festive and clean. The food was awesome!

Excellent food! Soul food at it's best! Perfect balance of seasoned collard greens & green beans...candied yams melts perfect sweetness! We had a great server! The summer is hot so the inside temp could have been adjusted & a bit of wait before entering! Priced right! Nice ambiance & culturally rich!

The food here was really everything!!! I will definitely be back again..everything was as good as it looked. Our waitress was very nice and professional. My meal was so delicious, I had the southern fried chicken entree with a side of mac and cheese and candied yams 🔥🔥 we ordered baskets of cornbread and catfish nuggets as an appetizer and it was amazing..we had a party of 12 and everyone was very pleased with their meals. I would highly recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed at all!!!

We visited Kelsey's on a getaway to Atlantic City. The food was amazing and we will be returning. Service was slightly slow and unfortunately the night we were there they ran out of shrimp. Which is pretty much what I order everywhere I go however the crab cakes and crab macaroni and cheese and corn bread and everything else made up for the missing shrimp. The server was very knowledgeable and helpful when choosing sides from the menu. This place has a great atmosphere and great service. Side note if you're out of town and want to make a reservation per the hostess all reservations must be made the day before. We visited on a Wednesday and had no trouble getting in no long wait.

Best place for brunch in AC. It’s an all you can eat buffet style setup. The food was amazing the service was good but could’ve been greeted a lil more pleasantly by the hostess but everyone else were courteous so it make it better. They had a live DJ at 11 in the morning playing all the classics & had the mood right. It’s about $40 per person but it’s worth it. We will definitely be back when we come to AC

Good vibes in this place, family friendly. My party had 3 people so we got seated quick and did walk in. Though you can reserve a slot. Food was good: shareable cocktails Shrimp & grits Southern fried chicken entree w/ green’s & potato salad Pan seared crab cake entree w/ rice & yams Spicy tacos Cornbread basket….we took some food home!! Ha Our waitress was “DJ/Davon”, friendly young guy. Close to the beach but a little pricey.

WOW WOW....the food was very good and you get a lot. The corn bread 🍞 😋 was mouth watering. The beef ribs were falling of the bone, cook very well. The cat fish bites were a very good starter. And the food only got better from there. A big thanks to Brandon for being a great server.

When visiting in Atlantic City this Soul Food Restaurant was wonderful and it was worth it. The tomato soup is on the house, but the cornbread you got to pay for it but it's worth it, get that for an appetizer.

The entire service was a home run by our server Ray tonight. From start to finish, we had the most amazing experience at Kelseys Atlantic City. I was ready to start my 5 star review after the corn bread and catfish nugget appetizers and Ray's mastery on the entire establishment, the menu, its owners and the previous establishment at this location. Ray is a true expert and everything we hope to run into when dining out. The house DJ had a great music selection with early to mid 90s R&B, setting the perfect tone and mood for an impromptu dinner date with my husband. The portion sizes are very... very large. You will have 2 days of leftovers. We enjoyed short ribs, mac and cheese, cabbage, collard greens, potato salad, and the nights special of crab stuffd shrimp. Definitely sharable portions. And we will be back with family and friends! Thank you 😊!

I recommend a reservation. S The food was delicious. My drink was ok. My daughter didn't want her drink and at first the manager refused to take the drink off the bill. Eventually, the manager reasoned with us. Not very friendly. I would come again.

Made reservations via Yelp . Please if you don’t want to have a long wait MAKE RESERVATIONS. The ambiance was cool at dinner time why had live singing if you’re into that .. We were seated close to the back in a tight spot which I didn’t like and it took a very long time for us to be acknowledged . We were sitting for more than 40 mins which I find quite ridiculous… I had the catfish Mac and yams . My mom had whiting Mac and collard greens , my brother had wings mac and collard greens and my son had the chicken tenders and waffle . Starting with my food it was OK I wouldn’t say I would get it again , the max was really good but the yams were way too sweet and the fish was a little undercooked because it was extremely gummy . . My son had the tenders and waffle which he said was tasty . The whiting my mom said was ok but had the same complaint of it being a little over breaded .. she said the collard greens were and Mac was really good . She said the greens had a little sugar but was over powering. My brother said the wings were pretty decent . Sb: A server dropped and slashed bbq sauce All over my brother very expensive clothes and didn’t say anything until my mother made quite a big deal to the house manager . An apology was given and a piece of cake to try and smooth things over but honestly this kind of turned us off and we probably won’t return .

Absolutely a must try. My food was delicious. Beef ribs was so big I ate from them for 3 days. Mac n cheese & cabbage was good too. Drinks was pricey ($20.00 a drink😳) but it was good, not that strong. Clams was delicious and bang bang shrimp was ok. The live band was awesome. Our server was very attentive and on point, delight. Definitely will be returning.
