Such a fun space with great and friendly service! Good food too. Happy hour starts at 10pm making the prices pretty reasonable. Highly recommend for anyone staying at the Tropicana. You must try the octopus yakitori, so good!

At first I did not realized there was a restaurant behind the doors of a candy store. We liked the atmosphere very much. I can not say if it is authentic but the food was flavorful and tasty. I had sushi tempura, which I liked very much. The Rahmen ( we had two different once) was excellent. I read that someone think it was overpriced, but I cannot really agree with that. At first you are in a Casino, not in a food court. We had the noodles, the appetizers, sushi , skewers ( every item two of it) plumwine and another alcoholic drinks for $94. I think for a special night out that was okay . The server was very helpful and friendly

First time at Okatshe. Party of three, myself, my wife, and son for AC restaurant week . We all enjoyed our food. Curry pan, 5 spice ribs, chicken wings, crab croquettes, and chashu buns as first course. Second course we had Tropicana rolls, crab and shrimp tempura roll , NY Strip sirloin, tako (octopus), and bacon wrapped asparagus. Wow, a lot of small plates adds up to a lot of food. Thoroughly enjoyed by all. The mastiff will eat well this evening with all we took home. We will be returning soon

Very cool place to try out, it's a bit expensive but your in AC so everything your paying double the price. But you definitely should go for the experience the ambiance which is a retro take on Chinese alley ways. The service was great. The food was delicious and I would come back again. They do have a happy hour menu for food and drink, it is a bit small only one thing I liked was on it. And they only have mochi for dessert, a good amount of the ice cream flavors but I was hoping for more choice. The wait was not long to get a table or food. I would suggest going and making a reservation on the Open table app. The bar is come as you please if there is availability but after a certain time like 730/8 you'll want reservations.

Why do people recommend this place? Having eaten Ramen in New York and Japan, this does not taste no where near as good as quality Ramen shop. It was more of a Chinese Restaurant than Japanese. Food Chashu Pork Ramen ($12) - The broth was flat and didn't have the punch that traditional Ramen has, it was also a bit salty as well. The egg was actually good, but other than that, it is not worth it. I would say the only reason to come here is if your hotel comps it. The atmosphere is way too dark and you can barely see anything, also adding that the storefront idea is cute, but most people will just walk by it without noticing, slightly bad marketing concept. Nothing on the menu is really worth, over priced items, but it is a casino restaurant and is expected. I would only recommend this place if there is absolutely nothing else to eat, but there is actually~

Went there for dinner, really glad I picked this place. I enjoyed the food a lot. Had the spicy miso soup which was very hearty and tasty. Tried their shrimp tempura roll, it looked playing but we'll made and not dried. I would definitely go back.

A creatively decorated Japanese-inspired restaurant with Japanese-inspired food. I feel like I should have disliked the place since the food was mainly "Americanized" Japanese food, and by this I mean cooked with excessive salt, fat and spice. The edamame came strangely dripping in what appeared to be ramen soup base, the ramen itself (while usually a salty dish) was excessively so, and the spicy tuna roll (itself an American creation) was spicy enough to cause coughing. However, the drinks were good as was the yakitori, and the dark atmosphere, candy store hidden entrance and decor reminiscent of Shinjuku streets turned this into a welcome retreat from the chaos of the Tropicana hotel and Atlantic city in general.

Food was good. The ambience was super chill and different. I had the rosè sake and it was good. A little overpriced but that’s to be expected due to the fact that it’s in a casino.

My new favorite restaurant. Hands down best Japanese food experience I've ever had. Great service, will definitely be going back!
