The only authentic Mexican place you will find in Atlantic County and Atlantic City that specializes in Oaxacan cuisine. Always fresh and delicious. If you ever been to Oaxaca you will feel as if you are there after trying one of El Tacuate’s authentic dishes. Popular favorites are Molcajate, Tlayuda, Birria Tacos, Empanadas al Comal, Caldos, Flautas, and homemade Tamales. DELICIOUS. Platters are always served with homemade CORN tortillas. You will definitely feel as if you are eating in a humble Mexican home with every dish bursting of flavors. This is a landmark for Mexican food if you’re in town.

Ordered the Grilled Chicken(Pechuga Asada) platter that comes with yellow rice, black refried beans, salad and homemade flour tortillas as well as the black bean and cheese picada. Of course, cant forget the Jamaica juice and the orange Jarritos soda. This was the BEST meal I've had during my time in Atlantic City. 🙌🙌🙌🙌 so flavorful and cooked perfectly. They delivered to my hotel room, food was delivered fast and reasonably priced. I will be ordering from here the next time I come to AC.

The food was fantastic! Although in my mind I couldn't categorize Tacos de birria in with every Taco I've ever had elsewhere, they are the best I've ever eaten anywhere! My wife's fajitas were good and I ended up bringing home the burrito because of there being so much food in an order. Burrito was real good too though. This is a must try if you are in Atlantic City. Service was great and friendly and I will be back!

Ohhhhhh How So BIttersweet!!! My gf and I traveled to AC for the day. I was in the mood for Mexican food, so I skimmed through reviews and we ended up at El Tacuate Mexican Restaurant. My Oh My!! The food is absolutely Delicious! I ordered the Tacos Birria with Rice and Beans. My gf ordered Empanadas with Rice and Beans and we were both blown away with the freshness and taste! Muah....Yummy Yummmnzzz! Staff are kind and sweet! Only downfall is that the establishment is teeny tiny and there are literally like 4 tables. Thankfully while we waited for our meals, a couple ended up leaving. #Winning!

I’m not gonna go too much in depth. The picture speaks for itself. The place is always jam packed with customers but there’s always more FLIES in there than people. There’s no air conditioning, not even a fan blowing. No sort of ventilation. And with the amount of money we spent at this place of business, we’re all disgusted with the outcome. The fly wasn’t even found at the top of the dish, it was mixed in with the lettuce and cheese on the flautas. So the fly must’ve been dead for a while before the food was even served. Absolutely disgusting.

Whoever possible, I come here. .One of the best places. Food and service. Place is clean, and they make the food the way you like it. 5 STARS FOOD.

The food was great 😙👌🏾, menu was extensive and every second felt like a genuine experience. It felt more like I was welcomed into a family's home for a meal than dining out. I'm definitely going to come again, tell my friends about it and bring as many as I can next time. The plates were HUGE. My only regret was that I didn't have room to put more of it away lol.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I Order the beef quesadilla plate, it comes with salad. In addition, I ordered a portion of rice with beans. All the food tasted great! The restaurant is small, but you can see that there are a lot of take-out orders, which is also a good option. And yes, it is worth going to try El Tacuate, highly recommended!

Food was amazing, especially the quesabirria. Green sauce is very unique and different. Sauces and consume were not packed well for takeout. Spilled everywhere. Portions are big. Will definitely be back to try something else.

Authentic hole in the wall Mexican. A true gem of AC. The beef nachos were amazing. The Birria tacos also. Tender and juicy. Service was great too. Highly recommend if you want something other than a chain or casino overpriced food.

Friendly service! Food was average: Burrito was not flavorful, chips weren't that fresh, but the taquitos were excellent (even though any special orders were incorrect). Would have been two stars but the custom made guacamole was also very good. Might come back for the taquitos and guac!

Very nice people... very willing to explain their menu.... so that you can try some new things.... If you're not Mexican you know this never happens These young people go out of their way to offer hospitality and great food.

I got a fried chicken torta and it was really good. The sauces that they give in the squeeze bottles are also super delicious. The beef burrito was very dry though and not good. Staff was friendly, just don’t get the beef burrito.

Very authentic and delicious tamales! I ordered the green tamales (there are 4 in one order, about $10) and they have chicken inside. Highly recommend.
