I had breakfast at Gilchrist this morning as the hotel I was staying at didn't have breakfast despite advertising it. Perhaps that's a good thing as I enjoyed my meal probably more than I would if I had breakfast at the hotel. This location certainly lives up to the Gilchrist reputation.

Amanda and Katie were absolutely amazing and accommodating! I had questions about the menu and they were able to answer them. They worked really well together as a team and seem happy to work together. The owner came in for a bit and spoke with a few of the customers which was nice to see. The food was very yummy, I had an omelet with locs, onions and cream cheese! The home fries were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. I would come back without a doubt!

Got to get the pancakes...thin and crispy! They are different then other places. My kids like chocolate chip, I like the blueberry. Gotta sit outside!♥️

Did not get a chance to order, but the food looked like good diner food. Waited 20 minutes to be seated (which is fine), but the servers walked past us to take the orders of other tables seated after us. After the third time, i said good morning and the server just walked past me. Not sure what the attitude is for and why servers refused to acknowledge us (a party of 3), but we left to eat elsewhere. Seems like the srver attitude is hit or miss.

Amazing service and food!! I got the Italian omelette and husband got the famous blueberry hot cakes. Omg Will definitely come here again. Also the server was phenomenal. 10/10 will recommend

No frills old timey atmosphere - the food here is so average or below average - the home fries were huge, dry and tasteless BUT…. THE PANCAKES ARE TO DIE FOR. Worth the drive every time. Thin, slightly crispy, a touch salty at the crispy edges. Just wow.

So been going here for many years and getting their pancakes which are great. Decide to start switching things up and get an omelet and to my surprise I left there looking for another breakfast. Omelettes are really chincy not enough to fill a small 5-year-old. On top of that they piled the grits in the same plate as my omelette. If you're not getting pancakes this is not the place to go especially for 20 bucks + tip

First time ever eating at Gilchrist. We visited on a Sunday morning in October, got there about 9am, place was 75% full by 9:45. Excellent breakfast, we tried both the blueberry and pumpkin pancakes, along with eggs and pork roll. Service was very attentive and friendly. Place was clean, well-lit and comfortable. Will definitely come back!

Ordered Reuben sandwich. Absolutely horrible...meat was old, not correct, too much butter on bread, way too salty. Also, received 2 Pepsi's instead of ordered Coke. Never again...

2/20/22: We ordered regular kaiser Breakfast sandwiches to go, nothing spectacular all, the prices for them are not worth it but getting a breakfast platter is a better buy. You don't even get a coffee or juice with the sandwich and it's $6 and change. Spent almost $15 for two Sandwiches, boo

Overall my favorite breakfast place hands down! Pancakes are the best and the service is always amazing!

Best pancakes I’ve ever had!!! They are the size of the whole plate!!! I recommend this place to all our friends & family when they come to visit! Service is always great! We’ve eaten at all the locations!!!

Best pancakes in South Jersey hands down! Not many people know about this location in Margate so this one is generally less busy than the others. Still the same Gilchrist quality and the staff are all very nice. I take my mom here all the time!

Good breakfast. Prices have gone up but that's no surprise Omelet was just the way I like it. Good HOT coffee
