I was referred to this place and I am glad I went. It was my birthday weekend and i wanted some where to go that was outdoors and had a great vibe. The food was awesome. The music was mellow and perfect for the weather that was gorgeous. Jack was a great bartender. If you are looking for a great outdoors place to eat, then this is the place to be in Atlantic City!

The food and drinks were really good. The atmosphere was open and fun. I got the seafood cobb salad and it was to die for. Everyone at my table loved their food. The drinks were fun and big.

Cookie went above and beyond at the back bay. We definitely recommend requesting her if you stop by! Our hostesses were also very nice. They asked if we wanted to sit on the top deck or down below. Immediately after reading reviews, I knew to request for the top deck. From the 32 oz drink in a mason jar to the burgers to many other things we were very pleased with our experience! We definitely recommend the back bay and we will be back!

Whenever we go to the coast, of course we must hit up a fresh seafood spot. When I did a quick Google search, Back Bay was one of the top options so we decided to walk in on July 4th. Luckily there wasn't a wait and we were seated immediately - I don't think they have indoor seating and they don't have a lot of options in the shade either. Service was ok, most staff were friendly but the hostess was not so much. It was also a bit slow going, even for a non-city place. We waited a while to order, waited 20+ mins for food, and then couldn't track our waitress down for the check 10+ mins after we were done. Honestly, the reviews here are probably for the drinks. I don't drink alcohol but ordered lemonade, which was good. The food is very mediocre and a bit on the pricey side. The shrimp po boy is six pieces of fried shrimp on a thick grocery store bread roll, and while the shrimp was good, it was just too bready with not enough sauce. The fish and chips were also just ok, the fish didn't taste fresh. Perhaps I'm spoiled by the amazing seafood scene in Maryland, but this was a one and done for me.

Lovely little treasure. A little difficult to navigate getting there but well worth it! The food was decently priced and so delicious! Drinks were fun and simple but very tasty too. Next time we are in AC, we'll definitely be adding a stop here to try out some of the items we were eyeing up.

Back Bay is a good dive if you want great food in a friendly, inviting but interesting atmosphere. We tried the crab bisque and poutine, both delivered. Definitely worth stopping by n

Small restaurant with limited inside seating upstairs and a large bar downstairs. My husband and daughter loved their burgers and had super crispy fish and chips, which I enjoyed. My other daughter had chicken tenders, which is your typical breaded and fried tenders platter with fries. We didn't stay for dessert because my daughter spotted a mouse under the table across from us, and then we all continued to see it visit the dining room as we finished our meal. We were told when it gets cold they get a few mice inside but I'd prefer eating establishments to have this kind of issue under control.

After going on a Atlantic Cruise i visited Back Bay. They have tables outside and inside. I chose outside. We ordered and the food did not take long at all. The waiter was friendly and extremely helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Love coming here…grabbing some mussels and Ruby Reds…Back Bay 1858 Pale Ale is delicious!!! Love the view of the boats, and casinos across the bay. Sun comes down over the casinos makes for great photos! Outdoor seating and Dog Friendly!

I can only imagine how much fun this place is during the summer. With patio and back deck with crowds of people. This is obviously an older establishment, so don't expect a whole lot of room or new finishes. It has character people would say. The staff is friendly and hard working. I do not receive any kind of compensation or discounts for my reviews. I am an average customer just like you. I am a person who values cleanliness and quality food in a safe environment. We work too hard for our money to spend it in establishments that do not value us as customers.

Nice spot for lunch, great cocktails. The Georgia peach cocktail was very tasty and refreshing; consider leaving out the sprite to keep it from being too sweet. Food was tasty and prints portions were great; you can definitely make a meal out of their salads. Staff was good at handing food allergy questions and accommodating dietary restrictions.

Nice and cozy low end place with great food, good beer, and service I enjoy more than service in many high end places. It is definitely on my come back list.

Super fun atmosphere and location. You may have a wait during peak times but there is an outdoor area where you can have some great drinks while you might. Loved their spicy watermelon drink. Serious heat!

We got some cocktails, shrimp, crab cakes & mussels. The shrimp was surprisingly well cooked - fried but still fresh. Crab cakes were only decent, but we loved the mussels. We were told a 30 min wait but it was more like 4. Their bigger drinks are strong & their clientele lean sunburnt elders so the people watching here is next level.

Highly recommend. Staff was friendly, food was awesome, and they even served a great margarita! Being from Texas, I am usually disappointed when I order a margarita, but this one was spot on! You can definitely taste the tequila! We will be back!

The crab cream soup was especially good, the lemon made was too bland, the serving was slow, kid friendly, reasonably priced, will come back again.

Decided to drop in after an afternoon dolphin watching cruise. We were promptly seated in the nice outdoor seating area. The menu is pretty expansive with so many interesting dishes on the menu, it was really hard to choose. We opted to start off with the clam chowder and for entrees we chose the seafood sampler and shrimp, crab and broccoli alfredo. The chowder was exactly what we needed after a 3 hour boat tour—hot, creamy, and delicious. The shrimp and fish were good in the seafood sample but the crab cake was way too fishy tasting for me. The alfredo was delicious. I ordered a frozen margarita which packed a good punch. We enjoyed the ambiance and service overall. Will definitely come back and sample other items off of the menu.
