Came here for lunch on St Patty’s Day. This place has packaged goods (liquor) for take out and is opened late. Staff is NOT friendly but the local people were very welcoming. Place had an eclectic menu with a great variety of food. Not just the typical bar menu either. One of the BIGGEST ISSUES with this place is the OVER TAN bartender (FEMALE) who copped an attitude and actually made several RUDE comments. She also was making RUDE comments to a customer about other patrons in the bar as well. Not a very welcoming place- would advise to spend your $$$ elsewhere. Funny, was happy with this place until the rude bartender made the above referenced nasty comments. NOT what one wants to hear when you are spending money at their establishment. Guess it’s tough to accept the fact you are a washed up old stripper who has lost her looks and is now working at some Slower Jersey Dive bar. Ugh- go spend your money somewhere else.

We came in after an extremely long drive and even longer day at the beach and dealing with our rental condo... We were warmly greeted and sat immediately although quite busy being during the dinner rush. Draft beer was right on time and drinks came out immediately. Nice interior design! It definitely looked like a wine cellar with a cute bar in the middle. Our waitress was wonderful and tended to us and our very tired cranky children. She was very helpful with food recommendations. Typical pub style food. Everyone ate and was satisfied with what they ordered. I was so appreciative of her lovely personality! It was exactly what we needed! Thanks for the great service 😀

Cashier said my real New Jersey ID was fake. She must’ve been pretty slow if she doesn’t know how to tell a real NJ ID from a fake one at a bar in NJ. She then proceeded to be very rude claiming she showed the ID to her “superiors” who also agreed with her. Little did she know her fellow employees dimed her out and said there’s no superiors in at the time. I promptly left and went to St. George’s and bought my beer. She’s lucky she didn’t confiscate the ID because I would’ve loved to call the cops on her and watch her get schooled by the police.

I've been coming here for years now, and I was not only disappointed, but embarrassed. I brought my family here along with my father in law, and we discovered our glassware was disgusting!!! They were all full of greasy fingerprints as well as lipstick marks. The food was barely mediocre to say the least. I used to enjoy coming here for its laid back atmosphere and good food but, apparently that has changed dramatically!!

Save your money. Food was good but not worth the expensive price. Service was nice but inattentive and lacking conversation. Cool atmosphere and good location- we expected more especially after seeing the prices for regular 'ol bar food. REPLY TO OWNER: The food was neither high quality nor delicious. It was simply just good. So I figure by lowering your price on regular bar food, it isn't going to sell anyone short. And for your staff, inattentiveness is unacceptable at any restaurant.

Stopped in and was seated promptly. Waited for 15 mins with no one waiting on us though 4 employees hanging out at the entrance and one wait staff walking by. 4 tables outside occupied, a few people at the bar so.no reason to be ignored. Left and had an amazing dinner at the Cove.

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE IS WRONG 😑 STARTING WITH A LONG WAIT AT THE DOOR TO BE SEATED, RUDE WAITRESSES (ACTING like they don’t care) OMELETTE THAT ISNT OMELETTE (JUST FRIED EGG ON A BUNCH OF OIL) HAIR UNDER THE EGG. 60$ / 3 omelette with OJ . The smallest pots side I’ve ever sEEN and English muffins with frozen butter on the side. DONT COME HERE

The food was alright but definitely overpriced for what we got. An average chicken salad, cheeseburger with extra side, and a beer was almost $50. Additionally, the service was quite lacking and less than attentive. We were pretty much ignored the whole time we were there. The waitress never even followed up to see if I wanted another beer.

A total dump. Frozen meat for sure in the hamburger. Scruffy dirty bar. Prosecco from a keg- are you insane? No russian dressing on a reuban, that,s a Putin move. Brigantine stinks for restaurants but this is the winner for arguably the worst restaurant in NJ. Ate there today and wished it never happened, though to be fair the bartender/ waitperson was friendly and attentive. Once again , buyer beware.

Food was sooooo good! Service rocked! Came in with a group of 6 & we were all taken care of very well. Not 1 complaint from any of us. Hope to come back next year!

We ate dinner upstairs so we could hear each other talk without yelling over the music. We were promptly seated and served our drinks. The waiter was very nice and attentive. Everything we ordered was delicious. The prime beef was not fatty or overcooked. The salmon is always a favorite, along with the crab cakes. The wings were good too, but you can't order just flats.😡 They did forget the blue cheese, but no biggie. The manager came up and asked how everything was. Good night at the Cellar!

We went to the Cellar after realizing that reservations are a must at many restaurants in the area in late April. We got seated about 5:45 on a Saturday. It was our Anniversary. The Cellar Burger and fries were a large tasty entree. The beer and mix drinks were exceptional. The prices of the entrees were in the 30 and up range. We decided on the Burgers and drinks. The decibel level of the crowd was crazy loud! Sit upstairs if you don't want the noise. There is an upstairs area which was not open. We sat at a table under the steps instead of the bar or high tops. We enjoyed the band and it was an fun evening even though it was not our first choice.

What a great place for dinner. The shrimp scampi was delicious. Our server Morgan was amazing, so friendly, and very attentive. Highly recommend

Seriously.....Great place. Go there. Food and drinks are great. Bartenders are second only to my patio bar!!!! Park your boat up front and stop in and have a beer. And if you don't realize they are not on the water.... You're hammered and just crashed your boat into the bulkhead trying to get there.

It's been several years since I've been in this place. The staff is antetive but the food I had was really disappointing..The crab cake sandwich was cold, I'm not even sure what was in it. The fries were cold. Not worth $22. Alot of the wine shelves are empty. Not what it use to be. Disappointing

Extremely slow service. Waited for 30 mins seated before even being asked for our order. Then another 20 mins passed before the salads came out. We are still waiting on our entrees and it's been 1.5 hours now.

The food was amazing. The service could be better. Our waiter never checked on us after we received our food. My husband and I both needed another drink with our food but we never saw our waiter until we received the bill.😥. Other than that it was really good.

Great food chill atmosphere. My gf and I have been coming here for a couple years. For us this place is a staple of AC. Never a bad choice.

Need deep pockets for this place, we got two dinner salads with grilled chicken, a couple glasses of wine, a after dinner drink, No appetizers or dessert and the bill was $125. + Tip. Service was good and friendly.

Consistently great food and entertainment. If you want to know who's who in Brigantine, take a seat at the bar and within a half hour, you'll meet many locals. Love their burgers and always offering creative specials. If you're visiting the Island, check out The Cellar!

Lovely ambiance! A great place for cocktails and friends. The BBQ Thai Shrimp Tacos were DELICIOUS!! And the staff was so kind and attentive. Looking forward to another trip here to try something else off the menu.

The food was just ok, but the rating is more for the poor service we had on the night. I don’t usually give ratings this low but this seems cashed for. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to when the orders came out. One starter came out when the mains were starting to be served. And the last main wasn’t served until at least 20 minutes after the others. We were done with our meals when my son finally received his order. Then when the check was brought to us, they apologized and said that one of the mains was taken off the bill…except it wasn’t. We had enough at that point so just paid the bill and left. Hoping it was just a bad night for them and not indicative of the usual experience.

I called for take-out and they told me they were doing take-out. I called back with my order and they told me they were not doing take-out. This has happened on numerous occasions. Their website states that take-out is available every night. I asked to speak with a manager and they told me a manager was not working. It’s important to be transparent with your customers. I understand holiday and summer weekends are busy, but be consistent.

On the advise of friends when we were visiting AC, we went here. They were with us on the trip as well. We showed up at 8pm. Prime rib night and had reservations. They seated us upstairs. They ran out of prime rib. At 8pm? Frustrating but we understand it happens and that's not my reason for this low review. Our waiver was awful. Service was pathetically slow. They knew we were frustrated with the special running out at 8pm on a Saturday night but when I drink my beer, and have an empty glass for 20+ minutes where we can't find any waiters, let along ours to come back... Bad. They were not particularly busy either so that can't be used as an excuse. People next to us got seated, served, ate, paid bills and left before we even got our burger entrees. I mean really? Same issue with getting the check. I'm a guy who starts tips at 20%. And I tip more when I feel the staff is working extra hard. So this place and given all that we witnessed... 50 cent tip with advise to pay more attention to the tables and those upstairs. We won't be returning. Too bad since we did like the ambience.

Service here from Juliet and the bus boys earned them an easy 5 stars. She was incredibly attentive and made sure we didn't go without drinks, wait to order anything, or wait very long at all for our food (it was slammed so couldn't believe how on top of it they were) The bus boys were over constantly to clear things, clean the table off and check if we needed anything as well. Lobster salad had too much onions for us and the crab cake was a little soggy but the cheesesteak egg rolls were fantastic and the entrees were still good despite! We will definitely be back and recommend others go as well to enjoy lunch or dinner

Awesome lunch specials around $10 with great food and plenty of it. Amazing service and a great bloody Mary. The downstairs area is just a bar and high top tables, assuming there are tables upstairs. Thanks for a great meal!

😐 To be clear, the food was excellent! The unfortunate situation is not related to the food quality, rather it is to how they handled the issue (hence I gave the 3 stars to be fair). 👍👍 Really good burgers. Burgers are smash-style, meaning they are smashed really flat. If you're hungry, go with the double option. I had the Kalifornia Klassic and it was very tasty. The kook sauce was a little spicy but not too bad. The milkshakes were nice too. They have alot of flavors and I...
