A beautiful place to walk along the water's edge or follow trails inside the park. If you go, please respect the roped off areas as this a breeding ground for endangered birds.

This is a nice beach and it’s tough to tell where the Ocean City beach ends and the State Park begins. But that doesn’t matter. There’s meter parking, a bathroom and changing room house. There are discretely marked hiking trails in the state park. The Red trail starts here and about 1 mile into the bush ends and intersects at the yellow trail, which leads to the beach in one direction and back into the bush to the back bay in the other direction. There are ticks, including the Texas Tick, aka the Lone Star tick, which aggressively seeks out humans. So, wear long pants and sleeves. I found 3 ticks after a 1 hour hike in the bush.

It was a pretty trail, but.... There was waaaaay too much poison oak. One of the trails was okay, but the other was completely overrun with poison oak and other plants, you couldn't walk through there at all if you were wearing shorts. You can keep going on the good trail, just be careful not to touch any poison oak.... or step on any snakes. I saw two snakes, they were small but still too big for comfort. So, overall, good trail but overrun with poison oak, poison ivy, and worst of all, snakes.

Lovely quiet fairly wide wrap-around Beach with great views. Boat launch and trailer parking. Great place to fish. Trails are EXTREMELY buggy with loose sand that makes walking difficult. Limited parking.

A huge beach with beautiful lighting and scenery! The walking trails through tall grasses and gently crashing waves make this spot truly picturesque.

I love the hike to the beach, I went when it was cooler, but it was really pretty!

Great place to fish and relax. Decent parking on both sides of the bridge. Trails system, beaches and boat ramp. Weekends are nuts with all the Greenheads, aka jet skis!

This is my favorite beach since childhood but you have to be aware of the specifics to have the best time. *The best parking is on 59th and Central, Ocean City but you need to get there early like 10am or before to get a spot. It's also the shortest walk to the beach. *The main parking is by the bay and you can use a hiking trail to the beach. It's an easy 1/2 mile but wear sneakers and a shirt because the bugs are terrible and the sand burns. It's a literal nightmare but the beach is beautiful and never crowded. There's also a great tidepool for kids to play in and find pristine shells.

Free state park at the south end of Ocean City NJ with a small parking lot. There’s an easy 1-mile nature trail on a sandy footpath through shady trees and shrubs. The hike ends at a beach with an expansive view of the ocean There is technically no swimming, but it’s perfect as a quiet spot for dipping your toes and shell collecting. Saw lots of wildlife from nesting birds to clusters of hermit crabs.

We visited during sunset. It was gorgeous. But beware of insect bites . We did face this issue that compelled us to leave the spot. Carry a repellent . Lot of parking places . Found two mobile toilets. No trashing places. Have to carry your own trash bags .

A beautiful area of Ocean City from which to view the sunset. Also great for Shell collectors. A hike of the full park takes around an hour.

Horse flys have gotten worse over the years is being why my rating is where it is! Wish there was something they could do to kill off the population of horse flies there! Otherwise, free beach to avoid the beach tag fees! Nice area for walking by the ocean! Not the best for those sitting in the sun (unless you like getting bit up by horseflies)

I'll start by saying I'm not a beach person. I brought my metal detector While my wife and kids enjoyed the beach only to find out you can't use them at state parks unless they are registered which I get but the only way to register it is to do it in person somewhere in woodbine. So with that crapping on my day we were then informed you can't swim at this place since they have no lifeguards. Needless to say I won't be back

One of my favorite beaches. You can walk all the way south, no one around you, parking lot and handiCap parking. Been going there for years.

Really fun park at the southern end of Ocean City. Both park employees we ran into were very welcoming and informative. They provided us with tons of information about the birds, plants, horseshoe crabs, and other wildlife. Really cool place that I hope to go back to again soon

This is the part of the park in Strathmere. Nice views of Corsons inlet looking toward Ocean City. Not a lot of parking. Nothing but the beach and good views. Areas are roped off for bird nesting. No pets.

Very nice and cool state park. Maps at entrance could be better, though, indicating the trails. Trail maintenance and up keep needs to be better. And trash all over the parking lot.

Beautiful, cloudy fall day for a dog walk on the beach. Low tide, no bugs, lots of seaside goldenrod in bloom. Only 4 other visitors in the park.

Gorgeous, quiet beach with awesome walking trails through the dunes. Plan about an hour to walk the trails and then come back on the beach. There are a lot of great photo opportunities and it's a great break from the hectic boardwalk. They offer a guided nature walk on Tuesday morning and Wednesday evening but we were disappointed to show up on the last Tuesday of August and wait with a rather large group and never have a guide show. I wish there was a way to double check ahead that the tours are happening as we could have gone at a more convenient time. There are also a ton of biting gnats, flies and mosquitoes so big spray is a must!

Great place to walk, fish and take in some nature. Went one night hoping to see the stars better but was still a bunch of light pollution

Much much less commercial than the boardwalk portion of Ocean City new jersey. Public restrooms nearby. Somehow it seemed windier than the boardwalk portion. Not sure it was due to a geographic feature. I enjoyed having a little more room to set up.
