Let’s start with the pros…. Casino is a wonderful place to gamble. The dealer Mauricio was very pleasant and made all the ladies at the table have a blast. His energy was on point and very pleasant. A lot of the staff looked and acted like they didn’t want to be bothered. Please if you don’t want to come to work then don’t. We stayed there three nights this past weekend. Don’t book the north tower still not updated. My first room had nets or bugs flying in the shower. Room was spacious and that bed was soft but once they moved me there the second room it had bugs crawling on the wall. Carpet has stains all on the floor. Casino stayed filled so I can’t seem to understand why the hallways to the rooms was stained and dirty and the rooms carpet stained and dirty too. Come on when people go on vacation they want to come an relax in a clean and friendly environment

Spent one night at the Tropicana over memorial day weekend. As we are getting ready to leave in the morning, I go to get in the shower only to realize that the shower wasn't working. Called the front desk and they said they would send up maintenance as soon as they can. I waited about 45 minutes before deciding to proceed with my day. As I left the room, housekeeping was cleaning the room next to me and I informed them of the issue and they said I should go to the front desk. I then proceeded to check out and informed them of the issue as well. The lady said all she can do is take of the resort fee, which was less then $30. I told her that was not acceptable and asked to speak to a manager. She said that the manager was dealing with an issue in the valet and that it might be a while before she got back. We decided to go eat breakfast and then returned. We again asked for the manager, and again there wasn't one available. They gave me the number to "customer relations". I called the next morning and was still unable to speak to anyone that could assist me. They said all they could do is take down my concern and send it to the office, but that doesn't mean I would get a call back. I again asked if I could speak to a manager, and the representative said that my concern was noted and will be sent to the supervisor, but still no guarantee of a call back. The entire time the staff was being completely dismissive. They made comments "It was just the shower". Or "Was it the entire time, or only this morning". Or "We already took off $30 for the resort fee". I find this completely ridiculous. For the amount they charge, there is no reason for this situation. And for them to not have a manager available for hours at a time over memorial day weekend is absurd and I find the response of the customer relations department to be completely UNACCEPTABLE.

Everyone was nice, room was nice, location to me was great. Easy access to the beach. It was further down from the other casinos on the boardwalk but I was completely fine with that. Great stores and food right there! Inside of casino and hotel was real nice. Love all the stores and places to eat inside. I will be back. There is also bars, singing, restaurants, clothing, other merchandise stores. It was a city in a building. What you would expect. It was quiet in our area of the hotel.

The stay itself was great. Location is awesome, right on boardwalk and 24 hrs casino and food service with bar. Express Check-in and check-out process was fabulous, you don't have to wait for anyone and they charge a minimum amount of parking for the whole stay (super cool). The only thing which I didn't like was the bed (mattress), very uncomfortable..couldn't able to sleep. Hotel needs to fix the bedding system (bed and pillows). Rest all was Fab :) 100% recommended.

I always have a great time at Tropicana. It’s always clean. Despite the pandemic, it was a nice crowd. The new room reservations were nice. They have a nice selection of eateries and restaurants. It was nice to see everyone cleaning on the casino floor. My only issue was with the party next door making a lot of noise at 3:30am but the hotel was very accommodating. I will definitely be back to visit.

Confusing finding the entrance... Is kind of hidden in an enclosed valet parking area of the hotel... Poorly marked as to where the lobby/registration is. Registration was simple. Stayed in the South Tower which apparently had undergone recent renovations. Room was as pictured, spacious, very clean... Modern decor. Could not find any complaints at all with the room. Construction is on going so a little noisy early in the morning. Casino area is huge and very spread out but once you get an idea where places are it's easy to navigate. Plenty of restaurants... I went to 4 or 5 and all were good. I would def stay here again. Several towers and each has different room layouts and styles. Typical Casino/hotel prices. 👍👍👍

My recent stay at the Tropicana was awful. Our flight was delayed and upon arriving to the hotel at 3 AM, we were informed that we would have to wait for an hour before we would be able to check in as the system was performing it's daily audit and ALL computers were down. The receptionist advised that we should check in periodically within the hour because, if we're lucky, the audit may be done quicker than anticipated. As a hotel guest, I would have instead appreciated the receptionist taking our number to inform us when we would be allowed to check in - it was a failed opportunity to accommodate their hotel guest and provide great customer service. Secondly, we were placed in an accessible room in the South Tower without being informed. Since the bathroom was designed for wheelchair access, there was no partition between the shower and the rest of the bathroom allowing water to flow all over the bathroom. The bed and pillows were sub par, housekeeping never came to clean the room or put out new towels, and the hallway carpets appeared dirty. To top it off, I encountered a cockroach in my room - completely unacceptable. We were told that the tower we stayed in was/is the renovated tower. If this is true, I cant imagine what the other towers/rooms look like. Overall, this hotel at surface level may look appealing but it misses the mark in hospitality and the guest accommodations. I would not recommend staying at the Tropicana if you are in Atlantic City.

I only gave this casino 2 stars because I only ever had a bad experience actually gambling. Not because I was losing money, which is the only reason any player should have a bad experience. On two separate occasions I ran into problems with Tropicana paying me out. The first time I thought, it happens no big deal but last night was absolutely ridiculous. My friends and I are in our mid twenties and after drinking all night we decided to go up to a roulette table. Unbelievably we put one bet down on 1 number and it hit for $3,600. I went to the cashier and she only paid out $3,100. I go back to the table and they say there is nothing they can do for me, making it seem like I was just going to leave $500 there? So I told them they were going to have to pull the footage which they did. I eventually got my $500 but not until after an hour and a half of waiting for the shift manager to come talk to me. I understand these things need to be reviewed but I immediately went back to the table. I know it does not take an hour and a half to review tape. It is just a shame because one of the best betting experiences of my life was tainted by the Tropicana in what seemed to be them icing me out thinking that drunken kids would just leave with what they got.

Overall, for Atlantic City standards, this hotel is pretty good. Clean, soft beds, and nice views (If you’re in the west tower and on floor 38 or higher)! The shower in our room didn’t have hot water. The hottest the water got was lukewarm, and to get the faucet in the bathroom to run, we had to pull very hard on it to flow. Besides the rooms (which smelled nice), most of the hotel, and casino on the bottom floor, smelled overwhelmingly like cigarettes and tobacco. Even in the hallway on our floor (floor 43), it smelled like it. The gym in the hotel is great along with the selection of restaurants in the “quarter”. Most of the restaurants, however, are mostly full most nights so make sure to make a reservation at them before hand! Other then that, this is a great hotel!

Rooms are just ok. But it goes with how much you want to spend on a room. Personal and I feel the service was better and the hotel rooms seems in better upkeep before Caesar's resorts took over ownership. Still a great place to spend your time in AC. Lots of good bars and night life. Lots of good places to eat as well. Location is great and right off the beach.

Booked 6 rooms over the phone with Tropicana direct, no third party. The telephone rep allowed me to book a suite with a connected room. Upon arrival I was told they booked separate rooms and a connected room was not available. The hotel reception did literally nothing to help. Asked for a manager to possibly provide assistance, and he stated “this weekend is Chinese new year, so a lot of Asians took all the rooms.” Seemed a bit racist in tone and coming from a manager was really unexpected. After I offered to pay additional money to be properly accommodated they offered to downsize the rooms, knowing I had too many adults to accommodate. After about 15 mins of hearing how they didn’t care that the telephone reservation rep screwed up, I just accepted the rooms as is. There are ways to provide service and they failed all the way through. Once I met the “manager” I understood why the initial check in rep was as cold as she was. Bad leadership and zero empathy. Last minute the manager offered money off because he heard I had booked a half dozen rooms and had 65 person dinner booked in their hotel/casino. Unfortunately this was not an issue where I’m looking to be compensated. I was looking to truly get what I paid for and what was reserved on my 38 minute call. I would give 0 stars if it was possible.

Active duty military. Drove in from out of state for a friend's birthday, paid $263 for one night. Reserved a non- smoking room with a king, received 2 queens. It looks like the floors haven't been swept and the walls haven't been cleaned in a while. Sheetrock is busted, the safe and entry door deadbolt don't work. Black water is coming from the faucet in bathtub. People are yelling down the hall, there a lot of noise coming from somewhere (it sounds like outside but we're on the 45th floor). I would have left but it's 0300 and there's no l nowhere else to go. If all to move but it's 0300 and I need to sleep. I've stayed in better places deployed. I would NOT recommend anyone stay here. You can find better for less than $40 a night. This place is a rip-off.

I had such a poor experience with customer service over this past weekend while celebrating my birthday. The room we paid for was without heat. I called several times to which I received an automated message saying no one was available to assist. the room was freezing!!! After several times of trying I asked the operator to transfer me. I spoke with a woman who immediately became hostile and said that she was putting the service call through and they should be up “soon”. We waited 40 minutes and no one came. It’s no 11pm birthday night and I’m wearing layers of flannels literally quivering. I’m anemic with health issues. I recalled and got the same lady on the phone. She proceeded to get a nasty attitude telling me there was nothing she could do. I explained that she was nasty and I would like to speak to a manager. She became hostile and combative to which I screamed I want heat with a profanity. She immediately said I’m sending security up to throw you out. Start packing your bags. Wouldn’t you know it, security came up within 5 minutes saying that I threatened the employee. Are you kidding me!!? What a birthday!!! I started getting so upset explaining that I did not make threats I just want heat and as fast as security came up , maintenance could of come up. I asked them to listen to the recording on how I was spoken to from the initial conversation up to the situation we were in. No apology, no empathy her tone of voice horrible. Security left and sent maintenance. Finally after two hours only for maintenance to say that the compressor was broken and cannot be fixed and there we no other rooms we can go to because it was all booked! I spent my birthday evening upset, freezing and in awe of how the level of customer service is nowadays!!! So unsatisfied with this hotel and their customer service!

The wife and I have started to make this place our regular stay in Jan, we have stayed there 3 years straight! Never disappointed, service has been good, rooms could be a little nicer but overall could also be worse! The location is awesome easy to get to all the casinos right on the boardwalk and they have carmines which is a reason enough to stay on its own!

We stayed in the West Tower. The room was in need of renovation. Walls were scuffed in numerous spots, been quite a while since they had seen a fresh coat of paint. Bathroom outlet did not work, therefore the hair dryer installed next to the sink was useless to us. Also we could not plug in our own hair appliances in the bathroom, obviously. Big problem when 2 women are trying to get ready to go out. Sounds of (light) hammering & furniture being moved around above us from 9pm on made us wonder if they were doing construction on other floors during the night? If so, terrible timing. It went on for the 3 nights we stayed there. Our bathroom floor was in desperate need of sweeping, pretty gross. They were short handed at the South Tower valet & we waited over an hour for our car on a Tuesday afternoon. Pros were…great places to eat, super friendly staff. Even the valets, who were running ragged trying to accommodate everyone quickly still remained friendly and helpful. The beds in our room were extremely comfortable…a BIG PLUS in my book! Absolutely gorgeous hotel (other than our room!). I’d like to stay here again & get a room in one of the other towers to see if those rooms are any better.

Always a pleasure at the Tropicana. It's so big, it's the only casino I ever got lost in! Security is everywhere, and will point you in the right direction. I played roulette and won around $1,300 in 4 hours, went to Hooters downstairs and enjoyed a salad with chicken strips, met some beautiful waitresses, left a nice tip, then headed out with plans of returning soon. They have a convenience store right near the slots and one of the restrooms. The atmosphere was a happy one all night. I'm definitely going back next time I'm in Atlantic City.

Where to begin. We had a chirping smoke alarm right outside our door. Chirped so loud it kept us up at night. (Apparently needed a battery - chirped like clockwork every 10 seconds.) Called the minute we arrived and was assured Maintenance would be up to change the battery. Never came. First thing in the morning, went to front desk and they apologized and assured me within the hour it would be fixed. When we returned late afternoon, still chirping. For a THIRD time and SECOND night of our stay, no one addressed the smoke alarm. I'm wondering if the alarm would even work in a fire. Ruined our sleep and totally unacceptable that no one called us to say for whatever reason, they could not fix it. (Honestly I don't believe anyone even tried.) We also had no housekeeping and apparently you must request housekeeping. That should have been communicated at some point, either in the room or at the front desk. Although not an option here, communication is a minus 5. Had always been a fan of Tropicana but they failed miserably here.

We reserved 2 rooms both with a king size bed. When we check in on the kiosk; it indicated that we both were check in, but one of our parties didn’t have a room. When we had asked for help, we showed them our reservation, and they said ‘oh okay, I see that, but there is nothing we can do.’ After getting another room; we went up to the room & the room wasn’t what we had originally booked; it was 2 double beds instead of one. First time at this place & not going back due to confusion and lack of customer service.

I’d sleep in my car before I sleep here again. The rooms were Dirty! They don’t clean a thing & they don’t look for anything to clean. The black girl with the horrible weave on the second floor check-in was rude as soon as we got to the counter. We came early & she said our room wasn’t ready which was understandable. However, when we came back at 4PM to check-in, at CHECK-IN TIME she told us the room wouldn’t be available for another hour….someone tell me what is the point of a check-in time if you can not check-in to your room?… after we waited two hours to get a room, the room we received was dirty (pictures posted.) we immediately called back down to the front desk to let them know and our room was changed, but either way it didn’t matter because this room was dirty too!(pics posted)The only thing they had to offer for the inconvenience was a $50 voucher to any of the restaurants in the hotel. And that wasn’t good enough. on top of that the pool looked dirty and was dirty. I don’t know how true it is, that they put “younger people“ and one tower & older people in another but I’d rather be with the older people if that means I get a clean room, because younger people are dirty(I’m young). The state of everything overall wasn’t bad, but I like to be comfortable when I go on a “vacation” and the room just didn’t do that for me. If you want to go go for the experience, but it’s ghetto and you’ve been warned.

The rooms need to be renovated in every tower with the Havana Tower rooms looking the best. The issue with the Havana Tower is that it is far from the casino, which is probably why the rooms look better. Less wear and tear. North Tower is the closest to the casino. The beds are comfortable, but the pillows are not. The pillows flatten quickly. House Keeping is not good. I was just there and after four days, I had to basically fight to get my room cleaned. This is weird considering one of the things people look forward to when staying at a hotel is not having to clean. I was told I have to put a request in to have my room cleaned, but it's not guaranteed. The request thing is odd considering a few weeks ago, my room was cleaned after one day with no request. So, which is it? Consistency would be nice.

I would have loved to give this hotel a 5 star, but here is why sadly I cannot. The check-in was not bad. They have Kiosks for easy check-ins as well as a line to counter to check in with front desk if you prefer that method. I chose Kiosk due to the long line they had Friday afternoon. They have a very nice beautiful pool which I enjoyed. Atmosphere and location are great! Great restaurants too. Easy access to the boardwalk and beach. The bad thing about my stay, was that my room was never cleaned. I checked in on Friday, and checked out this morning. When I arrived to my room on Friday, the bed was nicely made and it was very comfortable by the way. Clean towels in bathroom. However, our room was never cleaned or bed made after that. We tried calling the front desk several times and got the same guy (answering service) telling me he would transfer my call to the front desk where I was put on hold for over an hour to the point I kept hanging up as I was there to enjoy my short stay not find out why my room was not cleaned as it should have considering the amount of money I paid. I could not believe how difficult it was to get someone at the front desk to assist a paying customer. I paid over $800 for two nights. I think keeping the room clean and having housekeeping provide clean towels and make your bed is not too much to ask for. In addition, I found an old pair of women pajamas in the bathroom cabinet that smelled. Hopefully, house keeping will check the cabinets this time around. Should still be there. I was in Room 810-Chelsey tower. Better cleaning and wiping down would help. I was very surprised because when I was searching for good hotels, this one read "Luxury" hotel. It looks beautiful on site, but a lot of changes need to be made to keep customers happy I guess. This felt like staying at a cheap motel considering how poorly cleaned my room was. Improvement certainly is needed, starting with clean rooms and towels. Most importantly, answering calls at the front desk to assist your guests!

What a fun time my Wife and I had! We upgraded our room for night two as our first room, which honestly, was perfectly fine (and affordable) just didn't have the view and amenities we were ultimately looking for. The front desk made this process very smooth and I only had to pay what I thought was a small amount to upgrade considering what we ended up with. The games were very kind to us. People who worked there were friendly. Restaurants were great! The place was clean, felt safe and had a fun and interesting theme to it. I will certainly be booking again.

The front desk person named Doris was so helpful in getting us a nice upgrade and very understanding and accommodating with my boyfriend’s disability. She went above and beyond what she had to do. The bell hop was fabulous with taking our luggage to the room for us. Very friendly and pleasant. The room was great with a wonderful view of the ocean. And the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. It took a little while to figure out where to go but I thought the signage was very clear and in a lot of places. Thank you for the wonderful visit. We will definitely be back!!!

It seems like everything in Atlantic City has changed a bit, and the tropicana was not missed on the way down. The hotel itself is still the same as it has been, but it seems the service has dropped its standard for the housekeeping, daily cleaning, and room restocking. I wouldn't recommend the shampoo/conditioner due to the residue and difficulty with knotting after usage. Our bed had clean linens, but a pillowcase was torn and not like a small amount, I'm talking about 1/3 of the center surface area was gone. I personally believe it would be impossible not to notice it while the bed was being made. The rest of the hotel amenities were nice. You may be stopped a few times while walking through the shops by a few unfortunate people who will try to pan handle. That was new to us considering they are usually restricted from the property in our areas. There is nothing wrong with asking for help. It just catches you off guard and awkward to walk past if they see you hit at a table or coming out of a restaurant and ask for money. There are plenty of activities along with restaurants and bars that are enjoyable along with comedy shows, karaoke, and dance clubs for the nightlife. All in all, it's a good place to stay. It's just not what AC used to be a decade ago.

This place has gone down the gutter a little bit. They made all pools except for the disgusting, moldy, indoor pool 18 plus. The stores are still very good, but I feel like they are pushing out all the families. They even said when we were asking about the pools that they were available for minors. Rooms are still pretty good, though. Also, I do recommend of you go here to get cookies from Mrs. Fields. This place is really good for adults because there is a casino. Also, this place is right next to the boardwalk, so there still is some reason to bring kids here. All in all, I used to love this place when I was younger, but my latest visit hadn't been all that.

I love walking around inside of here. Such beautiful design and love the area which is like a food court. Casino had fun games. (Not a gambler) I am walking with a cane, so it ended up being wrong Casino to stay at, since it a distance from most places on boardwalk. Plus we had a long way to walk for our room. I'd only give credit to a couple bellhop & valet, but don't know their names. Room was gorgeous.

We booked a room with a king size bed 3 months ahead. We finally travel to Tropicana and for surprise the room booked was not available. We were given a double bedroom with extremely poor lighting, with broken door handle, bathroom needs a total renovation nothing like they promote. Because we were staying only overnight we didn't fought for it. It's a total disappointment being a "well known and expensive resort" or simply a hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We enjoyed the South Tower pool. However, when we came in to check in, we had some trouble at the check in kiosk and there was no one in the service desk there to help. We couldn't find how to go to our room and about 15 minutes later i realized the directions where on the check in slip that was printed at the kiosk (my fault). It was frustrating needing help and not being able to find anyone to help, i had to call the hotel being in the hotel. I'm not sure if this is because of short staffing. The beds where comfortable, but I think they can be cleaner. Vacuuming could be improved as there was dust around the edge of the walls (carpet), that showed that has been there egor s long time. I know it's hard to get into those corners with a vacuum, if they don't use the tube attachments to get in there. The lid of the ice bucket was dirty. It had what looked like chocolate that had been there for a while. Overall the room was okay. We got a room facing the parking garage, so the view wasn't great, but We didn't spend a lot a time in it. There was this drunk women trying to forcefully get into our room with her key. Scared me awake, i had called asleep only s couple of hours before because I was have trouble sleeping. She apparently removed the do not disturb sign and decided she was going to try to open the door anyways. It was so loud that it woke me up, my husband, and my daughter. After I could hear other people taking. That was probably the worst part of us staying in this hotel. Also, I wish there had been a map and a pamphlet with the things there is to do around the hotel, the stores, restaurants, etc. However, if you want to dance there is s couple of places in the hotel, we didn't go into the Casino, there are lots of things within the hotel, but we had our daughters and opted to more kids things. Storybook Land was great for my little ones and it's only about 15-20 minutes from the hotel. The location was good. There is lots of things to do in and out of the hotel.

The facility is massive and nice and has everything you want in it (food, shops, casino). The rooms are just okay. For sure needs to be updated but not the worse I’ve seen. Good for like a 1 or 2 night stay. But be aware to get to your hotel room is a bit of a walk since you have to walk the through the establishment.

Went to comedy club there, kiss kiss... the whole property was pretty much empty due to time of visit (late November mid week). But been to the trop many times before, great property, good shopping, decor, gambling. Photos in this review are of Kiss kiss on comedy night. Talent was good - hard to work with a small crowd so I give them a lot of credit.

After trying a few casinos around AC I was starting to think Harrahs was the best but the Tropicana was definitely a close match. Our room in the West tower was not great, I’d suggest staying in any other tower/area but in terms of the actual casino floor it’s great. The drink service is a little slower but not too bad. No time limit on the slot machine drink order. Will be back

Came in town for a concert. The rooms were hot!!! We set them to the lowest and had no cool air. The floors hallway was set to the lowest setting and it was literally still 80 degrees. There was no air coming through the vents but the vents were loud af. They didn’t tell us how to get to our rooms and we were in a different tower. I called for washcloths and towels after an hr they brought up towels no washcloths. They didn't tell us there was ice only on 2 floors. The building is very confusing. You can get lost easy. There’s no directions on the walls. The garage is confusing. And the walls are dirty. It is nice but dirty. Make sure you bring a sweat towel!! The best part was the view of the ocean

Great value! We prefer the Havana rooms or South Tower. We had a suite n the Havana with two bathrooms, living room and separate bedroom. Very comfortable! The bedding was comfortable! Great price and tons of activities in the hotel. We actually prefer Tropicana over some of the other hotels in the area. We have been going for a couple solo weekend getaway. Super fun! So many different bars and restaurants. We really loved Boogie nights. The club played great music from the '80s. The crowd was from 21 to 70 and it was packed on a Friday night. Definitely a night to remember for us! We loved dancing on the 1980s themed dance floor reminiscent of Saturday night fever. Plenty of restaurants for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The only complaint we had is there needs to be more front desk help. Check in was way too long for a hotel this size. Staff was very accommodating but management needs to schedule more front desk help. We are planning to go back in a few weeks. Looking forward to another fabulous date weekend with my husband. Hotel is on the beach. We enjoyed the beach which was kept very clean and easy access into the hotel

It's important to know there is absolutely no security going up to your hotel room, no one is checking to see if you're a registered hotel guest. I reserved a weekend, Friday and Saturday, King room and it was not available they upgraded me to a suite. I went up to go to my suite and the key didn't work it was locked from the inside people were in there with no luggage, they seemed to be dressed in their underwear as they ran out. The room was not cleaned, or ready for me. (The key did end up working like 5 minutes later) I immediately contacted security and was basically laughed at and told to go back down to the hotel desk. Paper towels or some type of paper was stuffed into the lock. I did not feel safe at all. I was offered a $100 credit and that they would clean and get the room ready for me, I declined. It's very reasonable to say this is not a safe place to be. No other rooms were available. I'm local, so I requested a full refund, which I received.

Only stayed for 2 hours. Short line with a long wait for my loyalty appreciation card and was unable to collect the initial start bonus. Tried my luck at the slot machines and won $20 - $200 at each one that I tried. Tables started at $15 for craps and blackjack - not too much for 9pm on a Friday night. Remembered to save $25 to get out of the parking garage. Nice selection of restaurants and shops to wander through from parking to the gambling. Would definitely go back.

I was so excited to stay here and really enjoyed my stay. I did not expect the quarter, but enjoyed walking around all night. Some places are open 24 seven while others have a set time. The casino area is very inviting and the people were very nice.

Walked from Ocean Resort, just to gamble. What a VERY pleasant surprise. Newly renovated. Perfect lighting. Friendly dealers. Also had a GREAT burger with hot fries at the Burger Bar in the "Quarter". We didn't win this time, but no worries, we will be back again!

Room was dirty. Legit boogers on headboard. Every surface was dusty and grimy. Had to catch a house keeper in hall. Huge hotel. At end of strip. Have to walk a distance to next hotel. Right on board walk easy access to beach

Last Time at Tropicana. Had very high hopes and just left disappointed. The rooms are filthy. There’s black stains on everything. The carpet, the curtains, the furniture. The carpets looked absolutely disgusting. I kept My slippers on the entire time. The rooms that are displayed on the website is not what you’re getting. Our room was never cleaned. We arrived Saturday and left Monday. We also had a nonsmoking room which smelled like cigarettes. Speaking of cigarettes, the casino smells intensely of cigarettes. They have boards up around the casino which says no smoking. Everyone was smoking. I couldn't even sit down and play slots without someone lighting a cigarette. It gives you such a headache you makes the experience less enjoyable. Didn’t think it was worth it. If you’re thinking of going to AC. Go to oceans resort. It’s very nice and very clean.

To check in it took us 3 hours to get 2 rooms on a Monday. The kiosk doesn't work. A lot of guests tried to get ahead of people that were on line for hours. Security were nowhere to be found when you need them. There were only 2 front desk staff helping with check ins and complaints. There were no front desk manager on site. I booked 2 rooms in North but was given Havana. Our Havana rooms are old, with carpet that feels moist and smells like molds, bathroom that smells like pee and shower with leaks coming from the ceiling. The lamps were all dusty. It was horrible. I called front desk multiple times but they kept on hanging up. I went downstairs but the line is still long and i have 2 Geriatric on wheelchair that were exhausted from waiting. To make it worst, when we moved to West tower, Housekeeping doesn't empty our garbage bin on a daily basis even if we left it outside our door from the time we left at 9am to the time we returned at 4pm the garbage was still full of diaper. I spoke to the front desk (woman) manager to help by calling housekeeping and to put a note on my account to make sure that garbage gets emptied everyday but she was useless. Garbage bin wasn't emptied until 9pm that day. Mind you it took them 12hours to empty two garbage bins in one day. The following day no one came in to empty the garbage until we checked out on Saturday. Horrible service. Dirty rooms!

Check in was awful. 40 minutes in line and people able to walk up to desk without waiting. 2 clerks for special quest and only one for regular. We had booked an ocean view room. Our check in clerk told us our room was ocean view and it's only view was a cinder block wall. Room 529 north. The rest of staff were very nice. This of course was not a very pleasant way to start our 3 day stay. Perhaps you should instruct your staff not to lie to guests.

Room -great view. Havana Tower. Elevators need thorough cleaning. Smelly garbage piled near ice machine. Kept thinking it would be picked up that day, evening, next morning, next evening, next morning...nope. Don't take all your luggage to checkout. It is a long way from check-in - through the shop, casino, down escalator(2). If you are in Havana Tower, garage is right next to it. Check-in was 30 to 45 minutes. Self check kiosks didn't work. There were some upset people waiting. The check-in staff remained calm, though. Water tasted good. Nice walk going south. Some old casino games - goldfish, jackpot party, downstairs. Food very expensive. I enjoyed my room view. All that said, I would definitely stay again. Need a casino card that works to get drinks. Need to spend a certain amount to get one. If yo switch machines, you must start over. Some machines didn't work. That got frustrating.

I get that Covid slowed things down for businesses. But that should not be why the rooms aren’t clean and in many aspects unacceptable. I did not complain to hotel staff but I would never expect to walk into a room with spills on the walls and broken faucets. If this was not for a celebration weekend, I would have left. Staff was nice, location is fine. Elevators for the west tower are awful on weekends. 4 elevators to get all guests to their rooms for that tower - there was always a line and wait. At times we had to take the stairs after 15 minutes of not being able to get an elevator. I would not recommend to stay at this hotel - we paid approx $370/night and I was quite shocked at what this hotel thinks is acceptable. Photos are from the walls right inside the bathroom and the knob in the shower.

It was awesome !!! The bed was comfortable. I had time to destress. I had the AC fixed, which was awesome. They did a great job. The only negative thing I have to say is that the pillows are definitely not comfortable at all. I woke up with a headache, and I had no alcohol the whole time I was there. The room was amazing the atmosphere was great the casino is awesome and the people and staff were actually very good. I have nothing bad to say about my experience

I stayed here on a five day work trip a couple weeks back. This hotel exceeded all expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room I stayed in was very spacious and modern. The housekeeping staff was superb and each time I asked for more coffee or extra towels they delivered within five minutes… awesome! Lots of fun things to do just outside the door and maybe 80 yards to the beach. I’ve stayed at over 100 hotels and this one had the most amazing customer service that I can recall. Thanks for an amazing stay and I’d love to visit again

We arrived at Tropicana and the clerk at the front desk generously upgraded our room. If you are into dancing, I recommend the Boogie Nights dance club 70s, 80, & 90s music, that was a big hit! Ended up a Bier Gardens which is right outside the hotel. Overall our stay was wonderful. Couldn't have been better. The only negative feedback I have is that I didn't sign up for was the extra charges after checking out. I suppose everyone gets a mandatory fee when you check-out so beware for that transaction. I would stay at Tropicana again.
