This
was
my
first
experience
staying
at
Bally's
Atlantic
City.
First
the
good.
I
stayed
in
a
part
of
the
hotel
where
the
rooms
have
been
renovated,
and
my
room
was
spacious
and
clean,
with
a
great
view
of
the
boardwalk
and
ocean.
Now
the
bad.
This
Bally's
has
perhaps
the
worst
guest
services
I
have
ever
encountered.
When
I
arrived,
at
about
8:00
p.m.
on
a
Thursday,
there
was
one
person
working
the
front
desk.
One
person
-
for
a
hotel
that
boasts
1200
rooms.
The
line
was
short,
but
even
when
I
was
at
the
very
front,
I
had
to
wait
an
additional
30
minutes
to
be
helped.
When
I
commented
to
the
staff
person
how
long
I
had
waited,
she
gave
me
a
look
of
indignation
and
said
in
a
rude
and
brash
tone
of
voice
"We
have
OTHER
guests
that
we
need
to
help
as
well
as
you."
No
apology,
no
explanation;
just
rudeness.
I
was
with
a
group
of
friends
who
stayed
in
four
rooms
for
four
nights.
NONE
of
the
rooms
ever
received
house
cleaning.
And
in
fact,
you'd
be
hard
pressed
to
find
any
information
on
a
house
cleaning
policy
anywhere
on
the
website
or
in
the
room.
By
the
last
day
of
my
stay,
I
had
run
out
of
the
toiletries
usually
provided
by
a
hotel.
There
are
other
hotels
in
Atlantic
City
with
the
same
price-point
as
Bally's.
But
if
you
want
to
pay
upwards
of
$200
night
for
a
room
only
to
be
treated
poorly
by
staff
who
are
supposed
to
make
you
feel
welcome
and
comfortable,
Bally's
is
your
place.
