My wife and i came here looking for new places for breakfast, the food was very good and the places ans decor looks great. One thing we noticed which many other have said is that our check was given to ua before we even finish eating, it was kind of telling us to hurry up, didnt appreciate that. Overall great place for breakfast. Att: the foodies

One of the greatest hidden treasures in Ventnor City is ISABELLA'S CAFE; it's directly behind the Dunkin Donuts at the corner of Portland & Ventnor Avenue. -It's so unobtrusive, that many people miss the small wall sign on the Ventnor Avenue side advertising the Cafe. Isabella's Cafe fronts onto the cross-street, (Portland Avenue) and has a pleasant, outdoor seating area, with an awning for sun protection. Once you enter, there is a cozy area in the front for small groups or couples, as well as a larger additional space for extra seating. The attractive, friendly staff were very well-versed in different menu options, and had helpful suggestions. I chose the ' Steak & Eggs ', ( with BACON!!), and enjoyed several cups of bottomless coffee, while sitting with a nice window view. The owner is a very pleasant woman, who has been at this same location since 2008. This business, as all restaurants do, deserves the support of the community, especially after this pandemic. Try to tip well, a few dollars can mean so much to someone struggling. There were several other patrons inside having a lively conversation. My Steak & Eggs arrived, cooked perfectly, a very nice way to start the day, before going to the Ventnor Boardwalk. The Cafe has both a Daytime and Evening menu, pictures of both are included in my review. They also sell comfy sweatshirts for your friends. I took pictures of the Cafe from all three sides, to make it easier to spot. If you are coming from the Boardwalk, it is only a short two blocks for a excellent and reasonably-priced meal. It is also a popular spot in the evenings for couples. As a disabled person in a wheelchair, I have to say they went out of the way to accommodate me; I also made it a point to check out the wheelchair-accessable bathroom. ( Clean and nicely decorated) Give them a fair try, I think you'll be very happy.

Delicious food, friendly staff and clean place, what a great combination for a restaurant. In a visit from LA to NJ; we came across this restaurant, and the food we ordered was great. If you’re in the area; I highly recommend this place. I love spicy food; so; the Camarones a la Diabla are an excellent choice for this. The fajitas are great too; my daughter ordered this dish and we really enjoyed. My wife ordered seafood soup; and it’s flavor was very good; taking in consideration I don’t eat a lot of seafood; but this was an excellent choice. And since we were heading to the beach; we bought some of their natural juices to go; and the flavors were awesome. For sure we will stop by NEXT TIME we go back the NJ :)

Arrived at 455pm, waitress sat us. Middle table for two outside. Came back out 505pm took order. Watched her write the dinner specials. Meals came out at 535pm. She never checked o n us. So when she brought the meals out, we asked, we see other servers explaining the specials, she said the owner was the delay... We wait all summer to come back out to enjoy the restaurants due to the summer being too crowded and took a chance...o well, bye bye, this waitress didn't really care, remember, employees represent the establishment.

Nothing good to say about this place. We made an online reservation last weekend, we got an email saying someone will call to confirm, Nobody did. When we got to the restaurant, we discovered “someone will call to confirm” means if they didn’t call, we have no reservation, and we couldn’t eat there. Despite this, we tried again a week later, this time with a phone reservation for Sunday night. Place wasn’t too busy, but it took more than 35 minutes after we ordered for our food to arrive. When it did, the rice and beans side was cold, and my veggie burrito main was so so. To top it all off, we were given the check for some other table, and had to waste more time sorting that out. Will definitely not go back again. Anyone thinking of going should not reserve via the online system

The food was ok but the service was just horrible. The Owner even noticed that we were we sitting there for 20 minutes without anyone taking our order. But nothing improved after that. No salsa or water refills. We had to finally ask the super sweet Hostess for a box and our check. My suggestion is to order take out. It is such a shame that the labor shortage is taking such a hard toll on the restaurant industry. :(

Great little breakfast spot in Ventnor! We ordered breakfast for take out and it was very delicious! We got the french toast and the banana nut pancakes with a side of fries! There is a very friendly staff and they have great prices! The only thing was that our order didn’t have butter or syrup. Overall would definitely recommend!

I had the steak and eggs for breakfast, and it was delicious. I forgot what my husband had but it came with guacamolé and that was some of the freshest guac I've had in a long time. It was really good. We also ordered french toast. The service was very good. It is a small dining area with seating outside. The owner I'm assuming was walking around and engaging with everyone. It was a very welcoming environment.

I visited Isabella’s Ventnor Cafe with my family on a Sunday evening and we had a wonderful time. The restaurant is located in a convenient spot near the beach and has a cozy and inviting atmosphere. We were seated quickly and our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered the spicy combo fajitas, which came with chicken, steak, shrimp, peppers, onions, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, and tortillas. The portion was generous and the fajitas were delicious. The meat was tender and juicy, the vegetables were crisp and fresh, and the spices were just right. We also enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa that were served before our meal. The restaurant also offers a variety of traditional breakfast items as well as Mexican dishes like Chilaquiles and Huevos Rancheros1. They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day of the week2. You can also order online or get delivery through DoorDash3. I highly recommend Isabella’s Ventnor Cafe to anyone looking for a great place to eat in Ventnor City. The food is amazing, the service is excellent

Never disappointed when we come here, unfortunately we only come in the off-season as we are locals and are not standing in line for an hour or two in the summer to get in. Food is always very good here as well as the service. It's American with a Latin flair during the day, and on weekend nights they have a full dinner menu with both American and Mexican dishes. Highly recommend if you are in Atlantic County

This was one of our best meals during our shore vacation! We have one Celiac, and one allergic to cilantro, and two who are sensitive to spicy foods! We eat pescatarian, and Mexican food is often known to include lots of animal ingredients. The wait staff and cooks accommodated all our needs!! They cook their own black beans, all vegetarian and no gluten. They have gluten free corn tortillas, and the fish for the fish tacos is also gluten free (no wheat breading!). Everything was so delicious, and everyone was so warm and helpful. We’re so glad we had dinner there and will definitely go back!!!

I held my special day at Isabella's... their ratings about vegetarian option were raving and I needed a good array of options for me. The owner and staff were extremely accommodating and most helpful. The food was delicious!! A definite come back when I find myself in the AC area.

Such an adorable cafe filled with fresh flowers and busy employees. I'm back from visiting Isabellas while on vacation and I still keep thinking about the Power Wrap breakfast I had. It came with a fabulous variety of fruit in a small bowl as well. I will definitely come back yearly while visiting Ventnor. Maybe I'll even order The Gavone! I did notice after 915am it gets quite busy!

Went there looking for breakfast food later than it was available, so we were let down from the start, and that opinion never changed. Chips were served cold. Like not room temp… cold. Salsa was ok, not very flavorful and overall uninspiring. Food was decent but WAY over priced for what it is! Empanadas were bland and likely prepackaged. Will never return for anything but to possibly give breakfast a go. If you are in the mood for an expensive small Mexican menu and there is no other option this could work. Other than that I’d pass.

Literally one of the absolute best Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten from. Also it's amazing how late they stay open. EVERY SINGLE THING my boyfriend and I got was out of this world. The beans just absolute perfection. 12 outta 10 recommend.

Adios to this place. This place was a disaster today, Aug 6, at around 10am. Their breakfast service is not on point, we ended up leaving after waiting more than 30 minutes for a simple breakfast order for 2 adults and 2 kids. Too many other good options within a block to consider returning for a breakfast meal. Mt last straw was speaking with somebody who appeared to be the owner who had no grasp with how long our food would take. While she was nice and said our order was being worked on I made clear it was already 30 minutes and if she knew if it would take another 5 minutes or 15. She had no clue. So we got up and left as it was already approaching lunch time. Adios Isabela.

Great service & the food was delicious! I got the bacon shrimp wrap with fries. They also had a great juice selection which I will try if I am ever in the area again. Highly recommend!

BYOB, do I need to say more? Had the Waffle Foster 2 eggs sunny with home fries and Canadian bacon. Add a few glasses of mimosas and you have a great brunch.

Phenomenal! Everything is great in this little spot. We went for dinner and came back next morning for breakfast. The service was simply top quality- we felt very well received by the staff. Their attention to our needs was incredible, they were courteous, polite, and caring. The food was great - you could tell they were putting their heart into it. It felt authentic with every bite, and the portions were just right. We highly recommend it, and will visit every single time we drop by AC! ¡Gracias por todo!

Isabella’s is by far my favorite restaurant in the area. I have had breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner here as well as take out and every meal has been exceptional, and the service and ambience is excellent. The staff are incredibly welcoming and efficient, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend Isabella’s to anyone, you won’t be disappointed! The Burrito Feliz is a must try - better than anything I’ve had in Mexico!
