Margate beach is one of the best private beaches in New Jersey. It's a small beach compared to other public beaches which makes for low crowds. Getting there was very easy. And when I got there I found a parking spot very quickly and it was one street away from the beach! I highly recommend going to Margate over other New Jersey beaches. It's a can't miss opportunity.

I love Margate beach! It's beautiful, usually isn't crowded, peaceful and relaxing. The only problem is the construction still going on and how the beach has changed so much in the past year. The tides are different and between erosion from storms and the change in the beaches look, length and sand is a hindrance at best and hopefully will be fixed as best as they can as soon as possible. Plus some entrances are blocked by construction, but once you make it to the ocean side it almost completely makes up for the mess you go through to get there. (P. S. If a worker pulls up to you while walking the shore line, don't pay him any mind. They drive around in their trucks trying to intimidate people off the beach, but it's public property and as long as you're not where they're working at that moment or near their equipment they are supposed to leave you alone. That unfortunately is not the case, but don't let that stop you from enjoying Margate beach. Just know you're rights and respectfully tell them to mind their business and continue enjoying what's left of the beautiful beach that will hopefully be restored to it's former glory!

Really phenomenal beach at the Jersey shore. Beach is clean, beach goers are polite. Sand is great! They even extended the beach so that it's wider and easier to access. Look out for Yum Yum shaved ice cream truck, or the ice cream slingers on the beach for a nice treat. There's also a sandbar (depending on the tide) that gives you a chance to go pretty far out while still being able to stand!

So pretty. The sand is so fine and water so warm. The sights to see, the skyline only adds to the beauty.

super place for family. Good eating establishment within a short walking distance. Easy to cross busy highway if in crosswalk. All vehicles must stop and will honk horn for you to cross.
