Please Read the full review: I’m a former employee from 2015-2019. Loved working here and it’s great for hockey and figure skating. That said, I decided to look up this place again out of curiosity and and low and behold; the most recent 1 star review from 2 months ago starts off with criticism of Nancy. For those of you who want to take your kids here for lessons, Avoid her like the plague. I had witnessed her verbally abusing children on multiple occasions and one time screamed at inexperienced skaters during a public skate for falling down. Any skating qualified instructor would know that falling down is an part of learning how to skate and learning how to do it correctly is very important. She treated employees like absolute garbage. I was no exception to that. She made an assumption that I had autism and told my coworkers I needed to be suspended and given special special needs training. This happened on multiple occasions as a matter of fact. Not to mention, her instructor bio says she’s a national coach but I have not found anything to back that up. She’s related by marriage to a figure skating legend but multiple people who have skated around her for decades have implied that she basically used her last name to advance her career and is basically a fraud. We used to joke that Nancy is living proof that only the good die young. I guess my point is, there are lots of good instructors at Cabin John. Don’t pick her, especially if it’s for your kids.

Great summer camp, good teachers, convenient waiting area (warm!), three rinks, convenient public skate times every day after school. The f’real smoothies/milkshakes are great. Public skate is only 8 and skate rental 4. They also have discounted days.

The rink is nice but definitely avoid if you have smaller kids or one's that are not strong skaters. They only had two skating devices to help those with limited skills, and there was at least 30 people in need of them. The walls were crowded with people clinging for dear life. As for us, we lasted about ten mins. Total waste of money. May visit again once the kids are more skilled skaters.

Hockey coaches and staff in general are very professional, friendly and courteous. You feel welcome and it feels like family. Ice rinks are well kept. Snack bar and shop carry the basics for a great environment. The only wrinkle is that one class ends when the next begins. A 5-minute buffer would be nice. This does detract from the overall atmosphere and experience. Public skating for a kids birthday party is a good option. Birthday rooms are available and staff is helpful and courteous with the occasional aloof young person.

Such a great place! Ample parking, affordable, well staffed (and they are super nice). Great place to host a party for children. Pizza is delicious.

Nice place for kids and adults who like to ice skate and for parents who like to just watch from the warmth of the cafe. They cafe has tables and chairs, they sell nugggets and fries for $6, as well as hotdog and fries for the same price. They have cold drinks, hot drinks, ice cream plus bending machines, and a water fountain to refill your bottles. The 2 hours you pay for are not interrupted by the zamboni, which is nice. The rink is big, enough room to skate around, to go fast and to practice your figure skating or hockey moves. Love it and will go back every Saturday! They also have a store that carries everything you may want! Oh, and the people who are there to help if anyone gets injured are super nice and always looking out for the people skating. 😊

We really like this rink. We've been taking classes there for years. Sign up for classes early. Even when we've been on the waiting list, they can usually accommodate us. Lots of opportunities for public skate to practice and have fun.

My daughter is really enjoying her lessons With really wonderful teachers. She was originally placed in the incorrect class by me. Thinking that the sequences run differently. And the teachers were a very flexible to make sure that everything works out in the interest of the child. The instructors were able to advise on the best equipment to purchase for my daughter. And they were sensitive to the scheduling needs

We stopped by this ink skating rink and did our final spins for the season. We have been to the Silver Spring one and then this but am sure both are well managed and may have their cons otherwise it’s a 5star for the experience.

it would’ve been nice if there’s any way to know the specific time or conditions when public skating is available. no signs was up at the place about it. i went inside to check the prices and the attendant was there and saw me checking it. after about 15 mins, the rest of my friends got there and we headed to the front desk, but we were told that there’s no public skating anymore for that day. the attendant didnt tell me this the first time i went inside to check the prices on the wall. one of my friends was gonna ask a question if there’s a specific time for public skating for future reference, but didnt get a chance to ask bcs the attendant left the window right after he told us about not having public skating.

We've used this rink for our 1st grade daughter for single-day camps for when school is out. She always comes home happy, having had fun. Nice location, clean facility. This sounds weird, but it's a little too cold on the rink. I get it. Ice. But it is noticeably colder on the rink here than any other indoor rink we've been to visit. Not a big deal, but bundle up or make sure you're really getting a workout on the ice.

An inexpensive and fun way to spend an evening. My skates were pretty worn, but they held up.

Great Hockey and figure skating school. The teachers are great. I always prefer to visit the rink in the morning or late evening to avoid crowds. Overall, I love this place! Good for families to spend time together!

They've been having employee issues or something. Whoever opens for the early SNP. They have been late and haven't showed. The NHL rink definitely isn't maintained properly. It' rushed to be done by the Zamboni driver. It did used to be great, ran and operated well. It did have great staff but there is always hope.

The ice rink is a great place to skate. I love to come here more than any other ice rink in the area because it is such a friendly and family oriented place. Staff is very approachable.
