Although I am an instructor at Stages Music Arts, I am also a client!!! My daughter takes voice lessons with Shannon and is having a blast. My wife and I are very pleased. I’ve also brought in my own group to record at Stages Music Arts. Dave Nachodsky is a wizard of an engineer and I would recommend his services to anyone interested in a professional recording!

We're so happy we found Stages. Both of our children take lessons there and are learning so much and look forward to their lessons (guitar and drums) and band sessions--no arm-twisting required to get them to practice! Our daughter has been taking lessons longer, so I'll focus on her experience. She started her guitar lessons with Shannon shortly before the pandemic lockdown began, first in-person, and then virtual only for several months, and now happily back in-person again and has been for several months. Through it all, Stages and Shannon were quick to pivot to make for a seamless learning experience, even when virtual (we parents all know how tricky that can be for both teachers and students). We're amazed at how much our daughter picked up so quickly. She has really clicked with Shannon, who we just love. She has nurtured our daughter's knack for music and has really sparked her confidence as a performer. Thank you, Stages and Shannon!

Stages Music Arts is a pretty amazing music school full of instructors and staff who care very much for every student who comes through their doors. My daughter has been taking drum lessons with John B. for two years now and guitar lessons with Brennan M. for the past few months. They really know how to nurture her love of music in a way that both challenges and encourages her. My daughter has also worked with various other instructors through camps and band settings and has had awesome experiences with everyone she has worked with. The front desk staff have always made her feel welcome since day one. The facility is state of the art and all the musical equipment is top notch. We have been so grateful for the way that Stages Music Arts has handled the situation with the pandemic in such a safe and profesional way. As a parent, I have full confidence in their ability to follow through on safety precautions. If your child loves music, I would highly recommend joining the Stages Music Arts family! My daughter has experienced so much joy here!

Stages manages to be both professional and like family. Everyone is courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. My daughter has been in ukulele and piano lessons for over a year and has made tremendous progress. However, the best part is she looks forward to her lessons with Molly each time. Thank you, Stages!

I love Stages Music. I started taking guitar lessons last year and every instructor is an expert in their instrument. Sometimes more than one. The customer service is great, the facility is top notch, and the performances are great. If you love music so much you want to learn to play, I highly recommend this place.

My daughter has been taking both vocal & guitar lessons for about 18 months now. We are extremely happy with the results. Stages has not only taught her how to play the guitar and helped with her singing, they have also provided opportunities for her to play and perform in the community with one of their various bands that they put together with students. Stages also hosts an open mic night periodically that also allows my child the opportunity to perform in their state of the art performance hall.

If you are looking for a "30 minutes and out" kinda place for lessons, go somewhere else. BUT, if you are looking for a community of musicians who are committed to cultivating musical growth and excellence, friendships and fun- then stages is your new tribe!

I have had an amazing experience at Stages. From my incredibly knowledgeable and talented teacher Emily G, to the customer service staff (shout-out to Caitlin) - if you're in the market for voice/music lessons, I don't think you can make a better choice than Stages. Super talented teachers (and students!), incredibly helpful/responsive staff, and a beautiful, state of the art environment. 5 stars!!

We had a lovely experience at Stages. On site (albeit paid) parking made the experience nice from the start. We saw Charm City Junction and the Hackensaw Boys in May 2021. It was the first time we had seen live music in over 16 months. Both bands were exceptional. They were just as excited as the audience was. This was their first time playing before a live audience since the beginning of the pandemic in the US. The garden style venue was exceptional as was the sound You can bring your own chairs or use one provided by Stages. You can even throw down a blanket, sit down and spread out to enjoy the music. The staff members at Stages were very polite and professional. It was a nice relaxing and fun evening. Thank you to everyone at Stages, to Charm City Junction, and to the Hackensaw Boys for bringing us one step closer to normalcy. We look forward to returning to Stages to enjoy more live music.

Not only is he a fantastic educator for all ages, but Evan Cooper is one of the most fantastic accompanists one can imagine. Whether needed for a moment of jazz or the finest technique towards a classical piece, Evan is simply incredible. Following perfectly and even helping cover a mistake of a missed entrance when playing a concerto. Folks, I can’t say it enough one of the finest musicians I’ve had the chance to teach with in the lesson room and now perform with on stage!! BRAVO EVAN!!

I recently started taking lessons at Stages Music Arts in Baltimore and I’m so impressed with their teaching programs, amazing staff and musical community. My teacher, Evan Cooper, is not only incredibly talented, but has a gift for identifying the best teaching style and method for each student. He is kind, patient, and truly cares about each of his students. He encouraged me to join the Stages adult band program, and one year after my first lesson, I had the opportunity to perform with my Stages bandmates at a local live venue. The instructors and staff are very friendly and care very much for every student who comes through their doors. I highly recommend joining the Stages Music Arts family!

Stages is a top notch facility. State of the art music and recording rooms and a plethora of talented instructors. I’ve been taking lessons for 2 plus years and it’s been amazing. Stage’s also continues to offer new and exciting ways to get involved each month. If you love music, you’ll love Stages!

There are not enough words of praise that I can think of to honor Stages Music Arts. Not only will your child grow into a talented musician here, they will also discover who they want to become, that creativity comes in many forms and finally, they WILL feel and see their self-esteem maturing. A huge shout out to Paul, Ian and Molly, who have not only taught our daughter how to become a bassist, but also for teaching her how to believe in herself, to take chances and how to love her music. We are so fortunate to live near Stages and I recommend them to everyone I know. Everyone at Stages is so professional, invested and fun....we love you all and cannot thank you enough. Rock on❤️✌️🎸

I've been going here for drum lessons and electronic music production lessons for a year or two now, and to say that this place is awesome is an understatement. This place has taught me so many things about drumming, music production, and just music in general over the time I've been here. The facility here is so nice and professional. This place let me discover my love for music production and it's now something I do from home almost every day. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to learn how to play an instrument or how to produce music.

I've been coming to Stages for years for a multiple of things: I've recorded there; given music industry lectures there; attended events; filmed material. Each and every time, the staff - from manager to receptionist - has taken care of me, provided an exceptional experience, and really went above and beyond to deliver. I've recorded in studio b and Evan is as attentive as he is knowledgeable. There definitely is a vibe about that room that makes me approach recording a little differently, maybe that's just me. communication about mixes has been stellar and anytime we've shot video/photos or documented the experience, it just looks incredible. Their events are always thoughtful and informative. It seems like they really are so deliberate about what they host and when. It's always high quality and the prices are amazing. finally, my experience participating in giving lectures was incredible. I gave them in their concert hall which I believe sits 60. From acoustics to how the event was run (back to front) to how it looks, it was just powerful. I cannot speak enough to the professionalism of Charles and his crew at Stages. If you have the opportunity to go there - be it for recording, attending a class, or host an event - it wouldn't be a matter of me saying you won't be disappointed (you won't be), they will surpass your expectations and make sure you are happy the whole way.

I started going to Stages a little over a year ago and couldn’t be having a better experience! The location is perfect and parking isn’t an issue whatsoever. Absolutely adore the staff as well. I started out working with one of their vocal teachers, Molly, and in a few short months, she really helped improve my singing. I mainly work with Brennan now to improve my guitar playing and every lesson is always the highlight of my week. I also have worked with one of their studio technicians, Dave, for 3 eps and an album. He’s a blast to work with and an absolute genius. The way he can bring your ideas to life is magical to say the least. Plus the studio is beautiful. I feel like a rock star just by being there. Overall, my experience at Stages has been amazing so far and it’s safe to say I’ll be going there for years to come. Highly recommend any musician to check them out as they offer so much for all students no matter the age or skill level!

Fantastic place to learn and grow as a musician. I have always loved to sing and finally decided to take lessons. My vocal coach (Shannon) is great and I am learning so much! I’m also trying “Adult Jam” with Mitch as a mentor...the most fun I’ve had creatively in years. State of the art facility, fantastic community of like minded people who just love music. Thank you Stages.
