My husband and I absolutely love the club and its amazing team. A home away from home for us, a very special place of timeless elegance, class and history. We appreciate all it offers: cozy rooms, fantastic library, great dining, convenient parking and a gym space. Literally all you need when you stay in the city for a few days. And I just cannot thank the team enough for keeping it so beautiful and making it so welcoming. ❤️

We are members for over 20 years, and visited recently for the first time since we last lived in the area in the naughty aughts. The epitome of a 5 star exclusive members-only club. It is a bit on the anachronisticly stodgy side, and coat and tie the rule fo dining. Collared shirt and slacks are appropriate for wandering the property, and you can come and go in more casual attire. Note that shorts are only acceptable for the fitness center, though you could probably get away with them if you are going out sightseeing and don't dawdle on the way back to your room (assuming you're staying there). Jeans in DC at summertime is not fun. Wonderful facilities filled with military history memorabilia. Definitely check out the small, but well stocked library, and the Daquiri Lounge, where the popular libation was introduced to the United States. Nicely appointed rooms, and a bargain compared to the average room price in DC. We enjoyed an excellent Sunday brunch with friends, and made prior arrangements for the Pershing room which meant we could catch up in a quieter space than the main Dining Room. It's an exquisite place. Find a member and finagle an invitation for Brunch. If you are military, and in the DC area, you should consider joining. Great for networking, and they offer many interesting lectures and events monthly. It's been worth maintaining our membership for all these years.

Not only an incredible location but the bar had a superb selection of mixed drinks and wide range of wines. Dining there was an experience... superb wait staff and excellent presentation. Sponsored by a friend as it's a members only access but loved it! Definitely try to go on a Tuesday for the seafood buffet... fresh oysters were awesome! Per DC mandate, be sure to wear a mask and have proof of vaccination handy...oh, and don't forget you need to wear a dresss jacket to dinner.

Update 2023 - another Christmas and another fabulous brunch. Great food … and loved sitting in teh main room under George Washington. Very elegant affair and made it feel super Christmas-y. Came here for a very special Christmas Day brunch. The food was buffet and all of it was lovely, waitstaff was very attentive, and it was an easy place to go with kiddos.

I was honored to have a business dinner at this incredible place with such a long tradition. One can feel the power and honor when walking in those corridors. I would love to visit it again on my next trips to Washington DC.

We had the honor of staying at The Army And Navy Club for a dear friend's retirement weekend. It was truly an amazing experience. The dinner was fantastic, highly recommend the venison. I could have spent days in the library. The staff was impeccable. I can't recommend this place enough.

Very impressed. Last minute need for room was met with ease. Brunch was wonderful. Perfect staff. Now reconsidering earlier offers of membership.

Great atmosphere; the Fox Conner event was spectacular. Drinks and dinner were delicious and the library is a sight to see.

Such a beautiful venue! Came with a group for lunch a few weeks ago. Very quiet and relaxed ambience. We were served rather quickly, In and out, perfect for tight lunch schedules. Reasonably priced, $18 for the burger with fries. Very filling and perfectly cooked. *Someone in the party must be a member to dine here.

This is a membership club. Fine old building with high ceilings and lots of dark wood. The bit of civilization you'd have hoped. Wonderful library and dining room in particular.

Absolutely beautiful place, I enjoyed a delicious dinner here when I attended a dear friend's wedding. I provided music for the cocktail hour of this wedding, held upstairs. The staff was helpful and directed my piano quartet upstairs to a private green room where we could stash our cases for our instruments while we played. The piano is a black baby grand and was nicely tuned and maintained, though the space where it was positioned - a nook at the end of a hallway - was pretty small. All guests, musicians included, were well looked after throughout the evening. The only thing I'll say is that there seemed to be some confusion with vendor meals for the other musicians and staff working at the wedding, but these things happen when you're catering to such a large group of people! Had a great time overall in this extravagant venue.

The ANC has an impressive decor and rich history. The food is excellent and the service is fantastic. Try to include time for a drink in the daiquiri lounge before or after dinner or as a stand alone event in your visit to the club.

The food was good but the dessert was better. The German chocolate cake was one of the best I have ever had. Our waiter and bus staff was attentive. The buffet included options for all palates but I needed to add salt to the lamb.

Wonderful venue full of history and tradition. Seafood buffet in the dining room on Tuesday nights. Professional and helpful staff.

The food was adequate, steak was tough as it was served medium smh. The Army and Navy Club was interesting. The walls were covered with artwork of generals from various revolutionary rebellions and the Civil War era much to my dismay. I was curious to visit since only 50 years ago my ancestors weren't allowed entry into this establishment or the private club. Needless to say, I won't ever be there again.

Very cool place for events with good food. I was particularly impressed with two things. First, the staff is incredible. Very helpful and courteous, most of them have a great knowledge of the location. Second, the historical items at the club are amazing. Lots of great paintings, documents, busts, statues, and displays are shown throughout the place. I wish I had more time to explore it.

Front desk staff was awesome. Rooms were *barely* adequate. Doormen/Valets we’re HORRIBLE. Rude: unprofessional. CHAUVINISTIC. GROSS.
