Great little local beach for the kids. We usually bring our dog along during the off season since there's hardly ever anyone there. Also has a nice little fishing pier for teaching the kiddos how to fish! Wouldn't really be up for swimming here as its back bay and pretty mucky but the kids always have a good time.

Although I visited off-season, this was a very cute and clean bay beach. Next to a small parking lot, across from the Gateway Theater. A Victorian concession stand, and outdoor stage looked ready for next summer. A nice pavillion at the end of a pier, with benches, to watch the bay. Very nice.

Excellent little beach with a swing/slide area for the children to play. 2 docks on each side, one dock has a tiki boat ride for 2 hours, and the other dock has benches & fishing area. Nice secluded place to relax and catch some sun

It's just okay. My guess is this a good place for locals to hang out. Really small. My back yard is bigger... really.

Nice beach for quick metal detecting trip but beach sand covers layers of oil soaked dirt. I water is polluted. Limited parking. Great location for music and community get togethers

Great place to see a concert. Right on the beach - feel the sand in your toes. Get there early for good parking. Parking is available, just might have to walk a few blocks. Bring a beach chair. Very limited seating. But, right on the water. It was an absolutely gorgeous day at the beach for the concert I saw there.

Beautiful little beach spot tucked into the bay side in Somer's Point. If you don't know it's there, it's easy to miss. They have small outdoor concerts in the summer.

When the Summer Beach Concert Series comes, this is the place to be on Friday evenings. Top bands with many National acts every week till the Fall. There's food tents and several restaurants in easy walking distance. What a great experience!

Great place for family fun. Has a toy library and is pretty peaceful. Not a big space. Restrooms were locked so don't plan on staying long.

I am a local resident and prefer this beach over any other. My son, nephew and myself enjoyed crabbing, fishing and swimming for 7 hours.

After getting off the fishing boat it is a nice area to sit back and kick your feet up. It may be a bit small during the summer to accommodate tourists

A pretty well maintained beach. There was no trash or litter around, It's a small Bay side beach that has water, fish,a dock, a lifeguard, restrooms and some sand. What else do you want?

This was the best way to spend a day on the bay with the little kids with no rough waves, on the mainland and it was not busy at all in the middle of the week. 1 year old absolutely had the best time of her life so far!!!

We enjoyed the Summer Concert Series. The work they do to provide our area with live entertainment is truly appreciated! Friday nights are not the same since the concerts are over for the season. - Jan

We were here on vacation looking for a quiet beach to kick back and relax on rather than fight the crowds in OC. This is a small beach park on the bay and it fit the bill nicely. We hung out for the morning and watched the boats go by on the bay. A small playground for children and there is a shallow wading area that gets about waist deep for adults. Lifeguard station also. No difficulty finding parking nearby. Nice historic neighborhood to walk around in also. Many quality eating establishments nearby. We also spotted a billboard listing the concert series they have here and we went to a show during our stay and had a rockin' good time! Great turnout from the friendly community. They actually get some well known names to appear here so I'd recommend if you are staying in the area to check out the listings.
