Not
me
thinking
I
was
going
to
get
better
service
by
going
to
the
other
side
of
Broad
St.
There's
something
about
entering
a
FedEx
store
in
Philly
that
makes
you
feel
the
need
to
mentally
prepare
for
some
kind
of
shenanigans.
This
one
was
no
different
and
somehow
ended
up
being
the
worst
out
of
them
all.
It’s
not
often
that
I
frequent
a
FedEx
store.
I
initially
forgot
that
there
is
a
newer
self-service
kiosk
situation.
I
wanted
assurance
that
the
size
box
I
had
would
fit
in
the
drop
box.
I
didn’t
want
it
to
get
stuck
halfway
in
and
cause
problems.
I
was
fine
to
figure
things
out
for
myself
as
both
workers
were
preoccupied.
That
probably
left
me
looking
like
an
incompetent
lost
puppy.
That’s
when
someone
felt
the
need
to
do
their
job
and
provide
customer
service
by
asking,
“How
can
I
help
you?”
Oh,
joy!
It
was
time
to
get
the
assurance
about
my
package
that
I
was
looking
for.
Wrong.
Asking,
“How
can
I
help
you?”
and
then
proceeding
to
not
help
is
redundant.
The
employee
heard
me
ask
a
question
but
went
into
some
kind
of
autopilot
mode.
She
then
proceeded
to
raise
her
voice
and
her
blood
pressure
and
waste
both
of
our
time
by
telling
me
how
to
use
the
kiosk,
all
accompanied
by
a
couple
of
neck
rolls.
Completely
unwarranted.
My
actual
question
remained
unanswered.
Also,
telling
me
how
to
use
the
self-service
kiosk
is
not
even
neck
roll
worthy
or
worth
getting
an
attitude
over
for
any
matter.
It
was
more
than
rude.
I’m
actually
ok
with
rude.
The
tone
was
straight-up
mean
and
slightly
malicious.
I
get
the
nature
of
the
job
is
repetitive,
but
just
because
it
appears
clear
to
you
doesn’t
mean
it
does
to
everyone
else.
Based
on
how
this
person
went
into
autopilot
mode
they
are
probably
there
often
and
for
that
reason,
I
would
avoid
going
to
this
location.
If
you,
unfortunately,
do
need
to
go
to
this
location
for
shipping
purposes
there
is
a
self-service
shipping
kiosk
where
you
can
bring
your
prepackaged
item.
It's
there
as
soon
as
you
enter
on
the
left
half
of
the
store.
I
would
suggest
not
making
eye
contact
with
anyone
or
you
may
get
fooled
by
a
passive-aggressive
“How
can
I
help
you?”.
Maybe
you’re
lucky
and
end
up
going
on
a
good
day.
