    The people at Petco are great VERY kind & helpful, BUT the technicians who come to vaccinate are DISGUSTING. I approached 2 men and a women only to ask for an opinion. There immediate response was what do you need ?! Is this a medical question because we can’t answer u need an appointment. One man looked at me disgusting and said I can’t I’m leaving the other walked away and I ended up talking to the women. I guess there shift was over. Because they litterly all ran from the store. I would NEVER bring my pet here they are not helpful at all , rude and disgusting. I just wanted an opinion from a “professional” !!!

    This is a review of the grooming services offered. I brought in my Morkie for a groom at 9:30 AM, and didn’t get her back until 3 PM. She is an extremely small dog, and they prioritized dogs of clients who had been in store before my dog despite bringing her in so early. When I inquired about her status, they refused to show me her and rudely asked if I wanted my dog back. When I finally received my dog, her cut was terrible. The fur was extremely uneven, and her paw, which is usually white, was stained red from blood from a cut, as well as all her whiskers and the skin near her little nose were cut off. I can’t believe how terrible their services are. I won’t be returning

    Speaking only of the fish dept. The place was a mess. Tanks were very dirty. Could barely even see in them. Definitely wouldn't trust getting any live fish from here. Fish aisles were a mess. Things all over the place and a lot of things were out. 3 people working in the dept only one of them actually asked if I needed help.

    Petco in Yonkers is the worst for grooming they called me saying my dog was “aggressive” and couldn’t continue with her haircut they way they gave it back to me was just 10x worst then when I took my dog there. Absolutely unacceptable! Took her to another grooming place and they did a great job and no complaints just really professional. Never taking her back to this place. I posted pictures of Petco work and how they left My poor dog and the after on my local place!

    Honestlyyyyy, if I could give 0 stars I would! This was my first time bringing my puppy to the groomers here and it was terrible. They shaved down my pup all the way down where you can basically see his skin when I specifically said I didn’t want them to shave him too low SEVERAL TIMES! Second, when I arrived, I said hello and the groomers completely ignored me, until Amanda came to greet me. I’m highly upset with my experience here at this location. I will never be returning for this service ever again nor do I recommend bringing your son/daughter pup to this location.

    Will never go here again. The worst grooming experience. Gave them my dog at 9:30am and didn’t get her back till 2:30pm why is it taking 5 hours for you to groom my small dog. And after 5 hours still did not cut the hair on the left so one ear was longer than the other. Also told me that my dog was bad and that that’s the reason they couldn’t really finished the haircut. Making excuses for the reason that the haircut is uneven and choppy. My dog has been to many groomers and never had a problem and the haircuts are always even and really nice. They were just not experienced groomers and gave a bad vibe. Please hire new groomers!

    Horrible Service The Guy Has No patience my dog sat in their for three hours Getting Groomed and washed at 8 we came to pick her up and all her hair was shaved off now she looks like a Stray Dog And super skinny The dog I have is a Yorkie Mixed With a Schnauzer. Horrible Service. Also Knicked Her On both Side . I do not recommend this place, Horrible Service

    I was charged $13.99 for something that was clearly marked $12.59. Also, check-out person couldn't have cared less about being there. Very sour. Does not inspire me to come back.

    They are very unprofessional and lazy. They won’t even attempt to try brushing. I bring my dog in and they say wow you brushed her really well, but she has knots on her legs so everything needs to be shaved. The workers don’t even seem happy and want to be there. I dropped my dog off at 10 am and by 3 pm, I called multiple times to see if she was ready and no answer. Don’t bring your dog here.

    This store always completely cancels BOPUS orders shortly after they are placed instead of refunding only the items that are not available due to their system's inventory error. I tried on four separate occasions. Order online for pickup from Larchmont, Hartsdale, or Mt Vernon instead. Update: Tried again 5 days after Owner replied to see if any corrective action was actually taken and my BOPUS order attempt was fully cancelled again. This location is either severely understaffed, staffed by the lazy and incompetent, or has a completely unreliable inventory record. Don't waste your time with this Petco location.

    What rude and obnoxious clerks and management. I was prepared to spend $100+, and waited 15 min. for a clerk to be free only to be told I was standing in the wrong line. The lady who happened to be standing in the correct line told the clerk that he should take me,because she knew I was there first. He refused. Fortunately there was a Pet Smart .5 miles away and I found and bought everything I was looking for. I will NEVER USE petco again.

    This Petco is absolutely disgusting. The way they treat the fish is horrible. The workers do not care at all. Honestly it's crazy to me how popular pet stores, such as Petco don't even care about animals!

    Charles in the aquatics section was amazing and answered all of my annoying questions. He advised me on the best practices for acclimating them into my existing tank as well. When I decide to add new fish to my tank I’ll for sure come back.

    Great staff of employees and the vets. Very attentive and attended me on time. Vaccine shots for my dog where standard price. Will go again for grooming and update.

    Came to this Petco location and was greeted by the most friendly staff. It's rare to get such impeccable customer service these days, especially in the late evening. Want to shot out Jelani and Alicia for making my first experience here great!

    The checkout staffer was not helpful, on purpose. Said he was taking his time during checkout. I asked about a discount offer that was displayed and he said he didn’t know about it - has been upfront all day. No offer to check just an impasse. You want it or not he said. Also refused to help a coworker. And was all around rude. I will not be returning to this store.

    This store sold me fresh pet food that expired December 2 and I purchased it December 15. When I called the manager hung up on my face. When I went in to get my money back the manager she was laughing and waving goodbye to me at the store. Do better.

    On 11/12: The bald guy that works in the fish department is rude and lazy. Me spouse and I walked into the store tonight at 6:50 in hopes to buy a snail. He said "Are you aware the store is closed?". I asked him "Then why did the associates let us in the store without saying anything?" He said "Because they're dumb a$$ idiots". My spouse asked the guy nicely if he could allow use to get a snail but he said no. 2nd time we've gone to this store and have had a negative experience with him. The first time was way before closing hours and wouldn't help at first and "I'm on break".

    Xavier took care of my dog and I’m only going back when he’s working. He was friendly but most importantly did an amazing job on my dog. Way better than the other people that work there that only like to do minimum and complain about the dog. 10/10 because of Xavier

    The staff there is not very helpful. Went for fish food. The employee just point and said " about two row down". Couldn't find so I walked towards her she said same thing. Then very much like I was bothering her she angrily took a minute to actually walk and show me. Will NEVER go to Central Ave location again. JUST RUDE.

    I can't tell you how disappointed I was with my last visit. To start with there was a limited selection of the Blue Buffalo can cat. The line for the cashier was long and took over ten minutes. There was only one cashier who was having trouble with the customer she was helping and several people were trying to help her out. We kept on asking for another cashier, but know one seemed to care. After about to minutes the manager finally announced that the cashers could only accept cash since the credit cards were down system wide and half the customers on line walked off. Finely when it looked like we were going to get another casher the sells associate went to the bathroom instead and then walk off. When I finely got the cashier, I was told they were short on dollar bills and change and would to their best to give us correct change. If I wasn't running and late and very low on cat food, I would have left and gone to Petmart. I am really thinking of never shopping again at Petco. No one seemed to care that everyone was getting frustrated and gave us more attitude then help. I have never seen such bad service.

    The.cletks can never access your rewards to apply.The clerk.akways states that,they don't have your email or phone no,even though I receive emails all.the time.I think ,they could spend more time keeping the fish healthier. The fish attendant is very helpful and attentive

    Tonight, I went to the store with a co-worker to get a fish tank and all the accessories for a Christmas present. There was a guy there talking with customers, so I looked for someone else. I go down to the end of the asle and there was a guy walking towards me with a Santa hat on. I said, "excuse me, do you work here?" He stoppped, gave a pause and a nasty look. I said to him, "it's a yes or no question"and he replied, "I am wearing the shirt." The polite way would have been, yes, I work here! My co-worker proceeded to tell him what we were looking for, but I stopped her and said, "Let's get out of here. I am not begging anyone to spend my money." We went down the road to PetSmart and we spoke with a nice worker and got what we needed. The guy even took the time to explain certain details to us. I have worked in retail even probably before this guy was born. If the customers are not happy with the service they get, they don't have to come back. Petco, you just lost a customer because of your employee rudeness and I was told by the cashier he was a manager. Customers don't have to put up with nasty, rude workers! There is always some other store or person that is willing to be nice and polite to have more business.

    Today I had a staff help me, I just realized that it always looks like they don't have a lot of staff..her name is Amanda, thank you! The carts available were not working, she assisted with items i was carrying and explained to me the products. At check out she assisted with my petco points. I was grateful because I'm usually lost with some questions i may have.

    My puppy didn’t have food and I rushed over to find the door locked at 8:21pm meanwhile the store closes at 9pm. I waved thru the door to try and get the blonde lady who was too busy on her phone attention. She seems so bothered to response. She finally opened the door and rudely said we are closed sorry with no explanation of the time. Very dissatisfied with this location. Come early they make there own rules as far as times they decide to close. Extremely unprofessional especially the manager

    I don’t ever write reviews but the disappointment it’s beyond a refund. Took my teddy bear yorkie girl for a grooming and they shaved her completely they did not even attempt to give her any type of style to her face just left her unrecognizable, and ugly. Just seemed like a lazy groom to get it over with. If I knew how to add pictures I would.

    My experience with petco grooming was up and down before we found Amanda in the Yonkers location. I’m very picky about the length of my dogs hair and that she doesn’t get nicks in sensitive spots. Amanda does a great job every time, even with my high standards!!

    Took my dog here for vaccines and grooming. Will be the first and last time. The groomers seemed like they could care less about being there. I saw another dog that was waiting for it's owner to come back waiting on a wire rack/ office shelf next to supplies, tied up. The poor thing looked so uncomfortable obviously because it's not made for dogs. The vet was super inexperienced and had to poke my dog 3 times in the leg and still couldn't find his vain. Definitely not worth the over $300 I paid for these services.

    A decent pet shop for pet supplies. They are currently under renovation but they are still open. Reasonable prices. Large free parking lot. Next to Kohls and Pearl Vision. Cash and credit accepted. Pet clean up stations are available but do need to be resupply. 10/2022

    This is by far the Walmart of Petco AND they are STILL remodeling. The groomer is A+ too. She did an EXCELLENT job on my Chance. I REALLY can't wait to see the finished, fully staffed store. Right NOW I'd rate this store 4 stars.

    The store could have better stock and be a bit faster on check out. However, the staff have been great. Particularly the young lady with the blue hair sorry I don’t remember the name. Helped me multiple times and when I told them my dog had a peanut allergy she suggested a alt with this dog cheese wiz for his Kong ball.

    Purchased a canister if superworms for my bearded dragons. The canister said 50. There was only 23 of them in there. I was told they can't control this from happening due to shoplifting. But a sign should be placed warning customers that this is the case.

    I had trouble finding the kibble I feed my dog (Natural Balance, Brown Rice & Salmon) where I live in Dutchess County. I started calling stores I could pass on my way home from work in NYC. This store had 2 of the large bags, and put both aside for me. When I arrived, the bags were ready, my coupons were accepted before they expired, and all was right with the world. Great customer service!

    Cat stuff shelves were nearly empty. But had different brands from another pet store. But they really need to get some options for cats in the treats (homemade?) From front of store you buy per pound
