Checked in on app 2 hours prior to arriving. Arrived at hotel at 2pm and was told the room wasn’t ready and was told it would be another 30min to an hour. 2 hours later the room still wasn’t ready. Waited another 20 min for the room to be ready. We have a 2 room suite with a king and queen. 4 wall outlets in the kitchen area. None of the outlets work. Water standing in the sink in the king room. Water standing in the tub in the queen room. Requested at breakfast for it to be fixed. Went out for the day and came back at 11pm with the same water standing in the sink and tub. Requested assistance again and finally got it fixed around midnight. Paid $920 for 2 nights. Absolutely unacceptable. Marriott used to be reliable.

Did not get a wink of sleep ALL NIGHT! Teenage boys and girls ran the hallways screaming and yelling and banging on doors. This MARRIOTT PROPERTY IS TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL! Requested security. No response… I then went to the front desk move to another part of the building at 3:15am and then listened to a group of boys playing basketball from 4:15 AM. Till 4:40am. Morning brunch was the tipping point when the breakfast buffet was in total disarray without any food. I will never return to this property and felt unsafe there. There is no security and groups of teenagers have the run of the place. Marriott should be ashamed of itself. I expect better! Still awaiting response from my e mail sent to the GM Barbara Beresova to see if she knows what is going on here.

When you hear Marriott you think best of the best, as far as hotel brands go. Even down to the lowest tier brands I am accustomed to a certain level of service, look and feel at a Marriott property. This property Residence Inn at Bishops Gate sadly disappointed! We stayed here Nov 25 for 1 night. We decided last minute to stay in town longer, but we opted to take family up on their offer to stay with them after staying here instead of using more rewards points. As a Titanium Elite member, who is well on my way to Ambassador Elite, having stayed 98 nights this year in Marriott properties across the country, this is the WORST EXPERIENCE and it was NOT worth the FREE NIGHT STAY I used from my Titanium Elite membership rewards. I honestly regret having chose this hotel. When I arrived my mobile key worked for all of 2 uses then I was at the front desk asking for keys. There were no sheets in the closet for the pull out bed so I had to go to the front desk to retrieve those because no one would get up to bring them to me. There were also no more pillows available. There was no soap at the bathroom sink, only the dispenser in the shower. My shower curtain was dirty, I was so disgusted I didn’t even bother since I was only there for 1 night. The laundry room is a million dollar lawsuit waiting to happen… it’s a death trap! Even with caution signs on one area, there is another area you think is OK but the floor is weak and tiles are not laid down so when you step you trip trying to catch yourself from falling! It should honestly be shut down or relocated. The website boast newly renovated however the workmanship is terrible. The carpets down the halls are lumpy and uneven due to the floor beneath so you are tripping your way through the hotel over carpet speed bumps. Breakfast was subpar, with BACON being the best part of the meal. I expressed my concerns before leaving to the front desk staff who were kind and understanding. They told me management would reach out to me but they have not! I also didn’t get the normal survey I usually get via email after a stay so since I’ve got time today, I decided to leave my review here. The only part of this stay that was enjoyable was LEAVING. I definitely hope they get it together here because it could be a great Marriott hotel, but right now it’s not a place they could pay me to stay again.

Too much construction going on. The hispanic gentleman that were working (don’t come for me I’m Cuban, no hate) probably should not be blaring weird music right in front of the elevator. That is so unprofessional. I blame the front desk ppl who let it happen. Not a nice place for now to stay at maybe after all the renovations. The breakfast area smelled horrible like the bacon was bad when they cooked it. And again in the am I had to eat breakfast listening to a group of men behind a plastic tarp talking and laughing extremely loudly. I my self speak Spanish as was not impressed with the conversation they were having very unprofessional. Again the front desk should make sure the renovations do not disrupt the hotel guest. We are titanium members and stay at Marriott’s all over the US, this is not work the money they are asking for a night. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Justin was at the desk at check in and he's personable and professional. My daughter used to be in management for Marriott so I know a great Desk Agent/CSA when I see it. Even over the phone after our stay upon calling he was terrific over the phone. Great job with having someone so good representing your brand. Thanks Justin. Only issue is please do a better breakfast kind of discombobulated morning after our stay.

Let's start with the good. I LOVE the king sized bed. It was awesome! Having a dishwasher and a place to cook in the room was a nice addition as well. They even had all the items you needed for cooking. Their breakfast was different each morning and the person working was very helpful. I was surprised that for a newly renovated hotel, there was a big stain in the carpet outside of our room, the pool was closed with no reason given, the towel bars were not attached well to the wall (in fact it fell off in one of our rooms and was hanging by a thread in the other). The floors in the kitchen area were really sticky, like they washed the floors with just soap and never rinsed it. The drawers in the room didn't close and some of the cabinet doors. Another surprise was that a room was booked for 4 and the pullout wasn't made up. No sheets were in the room or towels for the other 2 persons. We had to go pick up the items from the front desk and make the bed ourselves. If we wanted to do that, we would've stayed at home. One of the reasons we had to go get the items is that we couldn't call the front desk. The phone system was out for the 4 days we were there. That's not very safe at all. If there was an emergency and a person didn't have a cell phone (which not everyone has) they couldn't call for help. They came around to change out the phone, but never turned them on. We received a late check out and perhaps something for lost in communications because we all got locked out of our rooms before our checkout time. Of course, there was another long walk to the front desk. Lastly, some of the staff that work with customer service need to be retrained. They were giving attitude to the customers, so that the manager needed to be called. I think someone from corporate should go to this hotel posed as a regular customer and see what goes on there.

Had a reservation through my work on 22 Oct 2022 but was turned away because they claimed all the rooms were full. However a following customer approached the front desk and inquired about room availability and the host (male) said "let me see what we have." I waited to see what the reply was, which turned out to be the same answer the host gave me, but it was pretty strange. Also didn't like that there were 4 people at the front desk area, with only one working and the rest using swear words openly in front of my 9 and 11 year old kids. Just a strange, poorly trained team at the front on Sat 22 Oct 2022.

Unfortunately this location doesn’t meet the standard set by other Residence Inns. The front desk manager was extremely polite and helpful and was honestly the best part of my stay. They also seem to be in the middle of a remodel so maybe conditions will improve once it’s done? My main gripe was that breakfast was terrible every morning. I couldn’t even eat the food - which is unusual for a Marriott hotel. There was a significant amount of grime built up around the juice machine in the morning and it didn’t look sanitary. The gym wasn’t ideal and felt very crammed. There wasn’t a lot of equipment and it didn’t seem to be maintained well. I would stay here again if there weren’t other choices but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.

OMGosh! Dirty furniture and fixtures, we were met with crickets in our room. Found a coffee cup in the cupboard that had what looked like dried syrup? Mattress pad too small to cover the soiled mattress. EWW! And what’s up with the oil in the bathroom on the floor. After one night we decided to leave. Oh and the breakfast was a joke; no utensils and when I mentioned it to the staff I only received a grunt. Obviously this property doesn’t Care about its patrons. Beware!!!!

Let's just say the renovations aren't renovating! Against my better judgement, I decided to book a room here for a brief weekend getaway with the wife and kids. I'd purposely avoided this particular location in the past due to the numerous negative reviews posted. However, I was bamboozled by the recent "renovations" posted on the website. We booked the 2-bedroom suite for a 2-night stay. Upon checking in, we received a phone call from the front desk representative (Donna) inquiring how we felt about the room. What I perceived as a nice customer service gesture at the time turned out to be an attempt to get ahead of potential issues down the line it seems. None of the TVs in the room seemed to work properly. We were unable to stream Netflix or Showtime due to a horrible internet connection. Only the remote for the TV in the living had numbers you could use to enter a channel. The TVs in the bedrooms required you to scroll through the entire channel guide. Furthermore, the wires of one of the sets were exposed. One of the bedrooms had random scotch tape along the head board and night stand. The carpet throughout the room could use a vacuum or two. I was unsure whether the long strands of hair on my socks were from man or beast. Disgusting! The water in one of the bathrooms ran lukewarm. I spotted hair on one of the towels in the bathroom. The beds were pretty hard as well. I do my best to avoid nitpicking but to expect a nice comfortable bed and clean bathrooms isn't unreasonable. This is the real kicker however: we receive phone at 9:40 AM the morning after checking in from Donna informing us that there will be people coming into the room to conduct electrical repair work in the kitchen. We are told we have 2 options: 10 AM or 10:30 AM. At no point are we asked if this will be okay. How someone would allow guests to be checked into a room that requires electrical work the very next day is mind-boggling! What if my family and I didn't have plans for the day? Would we be forced out of our rooms? Unbelievable. I even expressed my issues with the room at this point and requested housekeeping only to return to the same filthy room we'd left earlier in the day. This doesn't even take into account the numerous issues I had using the room keys, despite swiping one out. Avoid this place like the plague. My worst experience dealing with a Residence Inn by far. FYI: Our experience from Room 112.

I stayed here for work and had a pleasant experience. All the staff were kind and accomodating, but I had especially positive interactions at the front desk with Randall and Angela. They were very professional and helpful during my stay. There was another woman who worked at the front desk in the late evenings and I didn't get her name :( but she was great too! Rooms were okay - comfortable. Gym needs an equipment update cause the machines seem to be made in 2000 BC. otherwise no complaints, would stay again

I was here for an extended stay. I could not get the housekeeping to come to my room regardless of how many times I requested it. The breakfast staff was nice but the food was literally near inedible. I was here for a month, if you’re going to be here for over 2 nights I recommend a place down the road.

I travel continuously for work and live in hotels, and always choose Res Inn or other Marriotts when I can. Titanium Elite Bonvoy Member. I’m still here until next week as of this post. The Bad: In the several months ive stay here this year, ive had my bed made TWICE, and came in to my room to find fresh linens on the counch as though im the one who is supposed to make the bed… never seen that before. Towel refresh was few and far in between. It happened but not often. Had to go ask the front desk for new ones several times. Laundry room had a few working driers in May 23 and now has one that works ok if you use enough quarters. Best to just take clothes off-site. The Good: Rooms were excellent, studio and suite. Everything worked fine. Wifi is good in the rooms I have stayed in. I use a roku device, and several other gadgets, no problems streaming although i have been told gaming is a bit laggy. Front desk was nice and always helpful. Breakfast is as good as you can expect from a hotel. Location was good, shopping, target, cosco, wegmans, topgolf, bowling, waterpark? and some decent restaurants nearby and nice location to jog or walk your dog.

Traveling during a holiday with a handicapable brother, a Rottweiler service dog, 2 smaller dogs and my husband ... ... all I can say is the Residence Inn, along with all of their wonderful staff, made this trip so pleasant to make. I live in NC with family here in NJ , and will only be staying at this Residence Inn from now on! Definitely recommend this place to anyone with animals or special needs.👍

The staff is so so kind. The rooms are beautiful, location is great. I always look forward to my stay here. Sometimes the layout of the rooms/building is a bit confusing but overall nice.

Staff is great everything else, not so much. To start off when i got into the room there was a full trash of wings and such left by previous occupants, which didnt hit right at all, secondly the room service didnt even bother on the 3rd day to get this trash so i had to pull it out and place it in plain sight before they bothered to replace it, and the room service really didnt come in until that 4th day here, theres also the ugly water stain in the shape of a tub above the bed where im sleeping so thats not a good sign, then there was the water which was ungodly hot, so much so that turning on only the cold water resulted in nothing but warm water, even the toilet had warm water in the tank which was not right at all, and last but not least the internet, now i mentioned something on tuesday night around 8pm that the internet wasn't reaching my second floor room and only registered when you walked down the hallway, then I said something again on Wednesday morning to which i was told they "might need to call someone out", asked for an update that same night met with the same answer, and plenty other guests said something as well, and even I checked again on Thursday morning to which it seemed they still hadn't done anything about the situation, thursday night they are now barely telling me they have someone coming in the following day, which i cant believe because youd think they would troubleshoot right away for any guest issues and get techs out immediately upon the rising of more complaints, unfortunately I was expecting way too much. This place seemed like it was going to be really nice for an extended stay, unfortunately it has not lived up so far, if it wasn't for the nice attitude of the front desk staff it would've received 1 star.

In a time where providing great customer service seems to be less of a priority for more companies due to technology and online usage, The Residence Inn in Mount Laurel NJ is the exception. The Staff at The Residence Inn goes above and beyond for their guests. I couldn’t have been more pleased by the A++++ staff and the service they provided to my family which included my 2 dogs. All other hotels and hotel chains need to follow The Residence Inn’s procedures and policies when it comes to providing the best customer service. The feeling of being at home and still getting all of the hotel luxuries is priceless. Thank you to the staff of the Residence Inn of Mt. Laurel for making my family feel like yours.

Our family stayed here for a hockey tournament. The staff was beyond amazing. Having hockey kids at a hotel can be challenging (and noisy). The staff went above and beyond interacting with the kids and even going as far as giving them types of scavenger hunts (helping keep them quieter) as to not bother other guests. They didn’t have to do any of that but went out of their way to really make our stay great. Accommodations were perfect, place was clean and breakfast was great. Only negative we had was the pool heater seemed to not be working so kids were bummed. Besides that, amazing stay! Please make sure the staff knows they truly make it a great place to stay!

I would give no stars but one is the only option. This Marriott used to be great for a family stay or just a solo vacation to relax or travel to. The thermostat didn’t work and the ac was blowing out hot air. The dishes were stained and not properly cleaned. As you look around there were knobs and holes in the rooms. Hotel staff were friendly at the main office but yet facility was disgusting. The room had a crack bag in there and also blood and bodily fluids on the sides of the sheets. Breakfast was limited and ran out quick. Great staff in the kitchen but wouldn’t change out the trash bins and would let it overflow. Pool not open to customers of course of COVID standards but still charge you for the luxury of it. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone at all. Laundry room everything was closed or not in service very high prices for a 2 star motel experience.

Shady hotel DON’T COME HERE. They require you to leave a card on file for damages. I stayed here twice the first time wasn’t a problem but the 2nd time they had a shady vibe to them from check in. My issue was after my stay I noticed a $40 charge on my cc didn’t disappear after week, I called the hotel and spoke to the person at the front desk and they said “the charge would fall off must just be a delay in processing” and I called on the weekend. Usually these changes fall off after like two days including my first stay. A few days go by, so now I’m mad because why is there still a change on my card? I stayed here for a business trip, no damages to anything during my stay, and kept it clean. So I try to call the hotel’s front desk again and the number gives a dial tone sound as if it’s busy or disconnected. I kept calling back with no success of getting in touch with the front desk, mind you it was easy getting in touch the weeks prior. I tried calling about this issue again as of 12/13 and still no success. Find another hotel there are others in the area. Stay away from here

Worst stay at any hotel ever. Gave this 1 star because you can’t give 0 stars. Stayed here 2 years ago and felt if was a solid 3 star “value” hotel. My current stay was HELL. It ruined my visit it NJ to visit family for Christmas. We checked out and went home because of the following …. -Fire alarm issues … 3 false alarms in just over 24 hours. My dog was a wreck. -No hot water in bathroom. Had to take a freezing cold shower -Breakfast was terrible. Eggs were cold and sausage biscuits were freezer burned and dry -Pet feces abound on the grass surrounding the property (as a pet owner myself I first blame the owners, but at some point the hotel must take responsibility for the pet owners who don’t -mold on the bathroom sink -construction for the long overdue renovations started at 8 am outside my room -and the cherry on top was the maintenance man (very friendly) who held the door open for me reeking of marijuana he just finished smoking while on duty. I think Marriott would be ashamed If they visited this location.

The location was perfect. The staff was AWESOME. Very friendly and accommodating. The only issue was the lack of hot water…. It was warm but failed to heat up. Very strange for a Marriott property. The desk informed me it was the cold weather but I spoke to some regular guests and they confirmed this is the usual. Hot water is not really optional for a property… but again the staff was GREAT!

The first thing that hits you when you enter is a weird odor. Not terrible but not good either. This particular Marriott definitely needs to be on the list for updates and renovations. There were several areas of the hotel that desperately needed a makeover. The staff did a great job making us feel comfortable. Jawan, the chief engineer was particularly awesome. Our shower only had hot water. After trying his best to repair it he moved us across the hall to another room where we wouldn't burn our skin off in the shower. Not all Marriotts are the same. This one was definitely just mediocre. The staff and Jawan will get 5 stars.

Super helpful and friendly staff (particularly Elena) who went above and beyond for my family as well as the customer before us. Clean rooms (and I'm picky). Some sections are under renovation so I anticipate an even better experience the next time around if my family ever has to come back to this area.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. The man who put breakfast together did a phenomenal job. It was visually pleasing as well as a good amount of food. (The morning of 4/7. I didn't get his name but if he can be recognized) We came in at 1am and when we got to our room the bedroom had a very strong smell of weed. I don't care if people smoke, but the smell gives me headaches and makes me nauseous like cigarette smoke. Luckily we could open the windows and I cranked the AC fan to help air it out. It was too late and we were too tired to try to see if there was another room. The shower head had a wet wash cloth over it. I wasn't sure if it was covering a leak or someone's old towel that got missed so we chose not to wash up there and did so at family's home near by. For a pet places I do feel they should get rid of carpet and put laminet flooring in. Overall we only stayed a few hours, but it was nice for what it was. I hope Marriott will put some money into this location for updates.

The Residence Inn by Marriott was wonderful. We had our Sisters in the Spirit Let's Flamingo event and we truly enjoyed ourselves... Our room was very clean. Our bed was nice comfortable. We as a group will definitely be back for another event

When I arrived at the hotel my wife and I were greeted by the front desk who were very warm and inviting. Later Daniel (hospitality) came out on the patio with us and we enjoyed a brief intro and he was awesome. We shared a toast and Daniel left us wanting more convo.great staff (Eric) too!! Give them a chance. Under new management. Fred H.

I've stayed at the Residence Inn twice in the last month. The staff were very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. However the hotel itself does not meet my expectations for the Marriott brand. At this point I just think the hotel needs an upgrade to replace a lot of outdated items. The exterior door near the basketball court looks like it's been broken and constantly propped open. My room itself stains on the curtains and the ceiling and the dresser in the room was missing drawer pulls. Just observing things from the outside the basketball court also needs a new net enclosure. On the bright side breakfast for the most part offer a great variety

Very disappointed. Definitely not a value for the $ they charged. Weak management. Breakfast marginal at best. Institutional eggs, pre cooked single meat choice , packaged everything else. Toaster did not appear until day 3. Water leak appeared on 2d floor and made it to the first floor. Hotel shut off the water but no messages sent. Rooms tired and need an update. Cracked tiles, carpet undone, mattresses not flipped, toilet paper holder fell off. Front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful, as best they could. They were the bright spot in a stay that was tolerated but will never be repeated.

Upon arriving, staff was very respectful and polite. Once I entered my room, I noticed carpet was not clean, found a glass mixing bowl in the oven with an odor, old dried out rice and ground beef in it. The fitted sheet had a stain the size of a cantaloupe. I asked for my sheets to be changed, the staff told me it wasn't my day for my floor to have room service. They sent someone up with a set of sheets to give me. That set had a rip in it. As I pulled the first set of sheets off, 90% the mattress was STAINED. NEVER again!!!!
