    Eh. I grew up on lake oakland, and it's very pretty. It's got a reputation of being too gross to swim in... but I think there's parts of it you can swim in, and I think I remember there being a massive effort a while back to clean it up. Still, from what I can tell, its used more for boating than swimming.

    Fun place if you have access to the public boat launch orknow someone on the lake. A good cruising lake. Roo. For tubing and wake surfing if it's not too crowded. A few areas really good for swimming and a sand bar for hanging out. Parking out by the American Legion there is live music some days during the summer.
