Fantastic morning out! About 90min guided tour throughout 3 "worlds" of Weta creation: Horror, Fantasy and Sci-Fi. Tour guides are amazing, super enthusiastic. A great behind the scenes look into what goes into creating a film. Gift shop is incredible, too! Book tickets in advance!

One of the best and most educational tours ever. Worth the price.

Amazing place to visit. I could've spent hours here, Weta have done an amazing job creating this experience. Alice was an amazing tour guide too, made it fun and comedic. 10/10 recommend checking it out

It was a great facility with lots to see and interact with. So much behind the scenes looks at some creative ideas and pieces made from Hollywood films. The biggest issue we had was our group size was quite large and that made it hard to enjoy. Kids were running around grabbing props and banging levers, running with swords and it was loud. We tried to listen to the guide but with the group size you were not always in the best spot to hear everything.

Came all the way from germany and wanted to buy the New Zealand Middle Earth Map. After not being able to get it in Hobbinton we were lucky there was one left on the wall. But they didn’t want to sell this one to us. They told us to order it from the online store with shipping costs for about 100 nzd instead and we are really disappointed as we came to Weta especially because of this.

What a fun place! Interactive and showed how the sets and special effects were made. Really enjoyed the special effects workshop we added onto the tour.

We loved this, we had Sophia for our tour guide and she was amazing! She was great with the kids, went the extra mile even helping talk to my baby when she started getting unsettled, really entertaining. Sophia really made this experience something special for our family, she was very quirky, funny and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend for a family activity, a couple activity or even on your own! I don't want to give too much away but definitely something that needs to be visited!

Really cool with lots of hands on things to try. It was not rushed, but I wished we had more time.

Highly recommend this tour. Wish I had booked earlier as would have loved to do the 3 hour tour which included the special effects. Incredibly talented people,... You got to go!

Definitely a must when in Auckland! Great for kids and adults, worth the money and great location as our hotel (Crowne Plaza) was just across the road. The tour guide was very lovely, she set the tone of the tour from the get-go 👍
