I went on the morning session yesterday at Brown's bay and experienced disgusting behaviour from staff. A "lifeguard" grabbed me from behind, lifted me by my life vest and threw me in the water while I was resting. I was totally shocked, felt assaulted and violated. The lifeguard also just ran off and did not check to see if I was okay after he pulled that stunt and when confronted, their excuse was "they're allowed to do that and it was part of the safety briefing". I was not told that during the safety briefing and did not receive a sincere apology when it was clear that I did not consent and did not appreciate what they did to me. When my group complained at the tent, another staff said that "lifeguards" tend to have a bit of fun and do that but we're allowed to say no. That is unbelievably ridiculous and a big health and safety hazard. I was not given the choice to say no. I was assaulted but it was all excused for the reason of "it's all just for fun." We're also all supposed to be physically distanced as much as possible and the only time I expect a lifeguard to physically handle me is when I am in danger and in need of help. Waterworld Aquapark, you say safety is your top priority and yet you allow your staff to run around recklessly and assault people and the biggest irony is that a "lifeguard" did that to me. How can you let irresponsible people be in charge of other people's lives? Unbelievable. Please review your health and safety regulations with your staff if you continue to operate in the future because the current situation is seriously concerning.

Waterworld St Heliers waterpark, what an absolute joke. Booked tickets for my family, went down to the tent to be told the water wasn’t safe to swim in, funny it let my book these tickets this morning when they already knew it wasn’t safe, woman down there were very unprofessional. Now I have to try and get a refund and find something for the family to do. Would not recommend or rely on them at all. Very dissatisfied.

We had a great time. However there was only one staff member when we were on and there was over 50 people on the park. My son slipped between the platform and the smaller pillow jump and was out of site for about 30 seconds while I searched for him. He came out safely and was shaken, his head was not beneath water, but as I couldn't see him it was a bit panicking. The staff member has no idea as she had so many people to watch. We still loved the rest of our time and just avoided that part.

Went to the Karapiro one in December. There was no test first for if the children could even swim. Kids put on their own life jackets and staff did not check if they were on correctly. My son was given one that was adult size and we had to go back and swap it for a children's size. Staff giving safety briefing made no effort to gather participants first before beginning. Most participants were standing near by but did not even know she had started talking and were not listening. She spoke fast and quietly and made no effort to get anyone's attention. She was just going through the motions. She referred to specific parts of the obstacle course by their unique and gimmicky name e.g. "one at a time on the...wipeout.", but did not tell anyone first what the names were of the obstacles, so it meant nothing. How were the kids to know what each part is called? There were more staff members on land sitting around talking than actually out in the water or watching the kids. That being said, the kids had an amazing time and thankfully nobody was hurt. I would recommend that even if your kids are over the age of 9, you still watch them very closely yourself, because nobody else is!

Fantastic fun! My boys and their mates love it. So amazing to be able to be out in the sea jumping off onto the air pillow, and running on the ocean. Such freedom and glee. The smiles on all the kids' faces coming out at the end says it all. Highlight of their holidays every year - tickets have been part of their Christmas presents the last 2 years. The young adults doing the life guarding are chill & full of that renowned kiwi practical, common sense, so there's no tension out on the inflatables, just fun. Good sensible safety briefings. I do booking through the app and it's really straight forward. We had tickets left over after last year's weather cancellations and no issues using them this year. As they suggest check tides, high tide for older kids, low tide for younger ones.

New Plymouth on 15 Jan 2023 - staff member (one at a time) manning the giant pillow launch take next to zero care to prevent potential serious accidents. Kids getting launched straight up instead of into the water, so they come down on their necks after somersaulting in the air. Also many miss the opportunity (after long queue) to get any air as they either slide off trying to get into position (poor or no instructions/corrections given) or the jumpers go too far forward so all energy transfer is lost. Some don't jump far enough and land on their necks as well - seems its safer to slide down onto your feet and fall forward onto the empty pillow instead of jumping onto it (when its empty). Even saw a large adult getting "jumped" by a small kid - of course it never worked, why would the life guard there not tell them to switch??!! Should have 2 life guards up there so there is more communication. Room for improvement, maybe make a video on your website explaining correct procedure in more detail.

We visited waterworld at red beach yesterday. We had a great time! It was a pity one part was down/flat. My 10 yr old got his moneys worth. Prob a little too big for my six year old - but great work out for me 😂 - as I was needed to supervise her I feel $20 each was a bit steep - I would recommend a cheaper supervisor fee. I won’t go back with the 6 yr old - I’ll wait till she’s older/bigger. Perfect for 10+

Best workout without working out. Don't realise how much exercise you get until all the adrenaline and excitement wears off and the two day later muscle aches kick in lol best time with my kids and missus. Smiles all round. Definitely best to go at high tide

Very happy to receive a refund after cancellation with no fuss from this crew. After reading the atrocious reviews I was expecting to have to fight for it but was pleasantly surprised. I followed their instructions and gave the requested information.

Changed the date and location of the event which meant we couldn’t attend. Despite requesting refund we still haven’t received it. Slow to communicate and now not replying at all.
