We really wanted to experience our first jerk chicken ever. When we found nanny's eatery, we were not disappointed. Amazingly juicy meat, outstanding balance in seasoning paired with simple, yet super delicious cocktails, Jamaican ginger beer and a hand-selected rum list second to none. We enjoyed every minute and our host was funny and contributed to a perfect lunch date out.

We went for (walk in) dinner tonight, it was our first time dining at Nanny's. The restaurant was pretty busy so we were offered outdoor seating. The staff were very friendly and warm. The food was tasty, as were the cocktails. The reason the review isn't five stars is because of how long the wait was. We waited 50 minutes for the cocktails and about 1.5 hours for the food to arrive. I don't blame them - I do understand that they have only one chef cooking for a busy restaurant, one kitchen hand and one server. So, things are bound to slow down on a busy night. We definitely will be coming back and I do recommend for others to give Nanny's a try :)

Updated review, June 2023: As someone who has visited Jamaica for 3 months, I can tell you that the food here is impeccable and can rival the food you eat in Jamaica. The Jerk has a nice, softer texture and the Goat Curry is really well flavoured. The sides are great. Worth the money. The vibe is good too, with the Jamaican reggae playing in the restaurant. JP is funny and the rest of the staff are all good too Fantastic taste of Jamaica, before going there! Texture was spot on, I could really taste the grilled flavor and the meat was juicy! Sauce tasted good as well! Shared much similarity in taste to Peking Duck, but is more smoky and easier to eat!

Really delicious food, first time here and the experience did not disappoint. Efficient, friendly service and a great vibe. The jerk pork belly was tender and smoky, and the fries were SO delicious. Will be back!

Had lunch here today and we were not disappointed!! Awesome ambiance and great service from Ash! She gave great recommendations from the menu and was so attentive and friendly. The jerk pork belly was full of flavour, popcorn chicken was delicious as were the halepeno poppers. It cost the of us just under$80 and we shared the delicious banana chimichanga for dessert. Highly recommend eating here but go early as it filled up really fast with people waiting outside it's that good!

Absolutely beautiful food. Ordered the Jalepeño Poppers, beef Quesadillas and Mac n cheese for appetizers and the jerk chicken and nanny's burger. Just yummy! Service was funny, great banter x would definitely recommend 💯

Booked in at Nanny’s for Mother’s Day dinner. Smooth and easy process. Arrived to friendly smiles and got us seated with a high chair for our son. Complimentary drink for Mother’s Day was a nice touch, we ordered the half jerk chicken with fries and slaw and the Rasta pasta and added beef (a must! the beef was so delicious) as well as the pasta! Good things take time so grab a drink and enjoy your company while you wait for your meal to come out! Def recommended :) thanks team! P.s the cocktails are amazing too

Booked a table for 4 for my son's birthday at 7pm. Ordered a Mojito and Purple Kush for cocktails, and a couple of soft drinks. Fried Pork Spare Ribs for starters was.yum and prompt. The rest took awhile- Jerk Chicken, Pork Belly and Jamaican Oxtail with Fries, Green Salad, Rice, Mac N Cheese. They ran out of the Slaw after taking our order so we switched to more green salad. They were all delicious.

Super friendly and really good food! Oxtail tastes just like the Caribbean takeaway shops back in London. Mac n cheese super creamy and delicious. Fries crunchy and well seasoned. Spicy jerk chicken was juicy and smoky. Popcorn chicken was crispy and flavourful (tasted kinda like Korean fried chicken) and banana dessert was unexpectedly a warm, crisp crepe with melted chocolate and banana inside. Yum!! So so good, will definitely be back

Never tried Jamaican food in my life, I’ve been missing out this entire time.. this was such a standout in all the food I’ve ever tried, this was something to remember! We got the Oxtail, with a side of rice n peas and slaw, we also got the jerk chicken too. Everything was so good, if you aren’t too good with spice get extra slaw it helps! But I will be coming back to try their jerk pork belly which I’ve heard great things about, highly recommend this place! Perfect for any occasion, but I would recommend booking as it fills up quick!

We stopped by on a Friday and it was lucky we booked since it was packed. We were given a table outside and it was ok even though it was raining quite heavily. The menu is fairly large and has a selection of Jamaican inspired food. You get to choose 2 sides with each meal so you can tailor it to what you feel like on the day. They also had interesting drinks including the Royal Jamaican alcoholic ginger beer. The food was quite nice. I had the Ital coconut curry with chips and mac and cheese. The mac and cheese were truffled which was a really pleasant surprise. The curry was drier than what I expected but the flavours were nice. It had an interesting selection of beans and veggies. Friends got the 250g of the jerk pork belly and weren't able to finish it. It was a different and tasty experience and I would be interested in trying their jerk chicken or pork next time.

I loved the energy in this place, the staff is so friendly and instantly makes you feel welcome. They gave us recommendations on what to order and even explained some items of the menu. The jalapeño poppers were SO good, they made us try a sauce with it and it was even better. The jerk pork belly was amazing, so flavourful, I really enjoyed it and will be coming back.

Had jerk chicken with 'rice and peas' and slaw as sides and Deep fried ribs. Chicken is very flavourful and cooked well. Rice has a heavy cardamon scent, so beware if you don't like it. Slaw was refreshing, could use more acidity though. Ribs was a very generous share. Meat just came off the bone. Didn't have the depth that the chicken had. Also asked 'idiot sauce' which I liked but manager said he could amp up the heat. Ordered that and it actually not only made it spicier but tastier at the same time. The heat is a creeper, so don't slap too much on at the beginning. Will be coming back for Mac n cheese and fries next time.

The meat is delicious. Was just succulent and rolled off the tongue. Such a good deal. Really tasty food at a good price. Thank you.

The experience was nothing short of amazing, with fantastic service and food that blew me away. The staff were all welcoming and attentive, making sure that our every need was met throughout the evening. The highlight of the night was definitely the drink we ordered - the spicy Maria. I have never tasted a cocktail quite like it, with just the right amount of spice and sweetness. It was the perfect complement to the incredible food that was served.

Amazing restaurant! We went there for Mother’s Day on Sunday and were well looked after. The owner and staff were really friendly and attentive, even gave the missus a complimentary wine for Mother’s Day. The food is unreal! We got the half chicken with chips and slaw which makes me not want to get chicken from anywhere else again. The beef burger was a delicious, proper sized homemade burger. Definitely recommend a side of Jamaican patties and the banana and chocolate empanada for dessert too. Very well priced and will definitely be going back and bringing others to try the rest of the menu and get a few cocktails too

Really yummy food and friendly service! We ordered the Nanny’s burger and the pork belly with chips and mac n cheese, they were both really delicious and big servings. The jerk chicken in the burger was very yum and a good amount of spicy. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the chef checked on how the food was while we were eating, and JP took the time to chat with us once we finished our meal. I would highly recommend Nanny’s eatery to anybody wanting to try delicious Jamaican food or anyone who happens to find themselves in the area!

THANK YOU for dishing out the most amazing food. We attended last friday to a very packed house. My 1st time trying jamaican food and OMG!!! 10/10. I got the pork belly combo 👍 with mac&cheese and fries. Unfortunately they ran out of the slaw but that's fine bcos I got zero spice with mine and OML I was in heaven. TY to the lovely waiter guy with the glasses. Your hospitality did not get unnoticed. We ordered the dessert and talk about food coma. I was in heaven. Will def get bk, I'd give it 4.5stars due to the very long wait for our meals. Bravo to the chef and all staff. I will Def be back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!
