Fantastic little gem in the middle of Warkworth that you shouldn't miss if you are ever around. The place is family owned and operated and the atmosphere is as good as you could ask for. Great food at a reasonable price.

My favourite restaurant. The food is gorgeous. The pasta dishes are so delicious and yet very reasonably priced. The fresh fish dish is always divine. But the food is nothing compared to the friendly, welcoming vibe that the owners, Susan and Aldo, give the place. They make you feel like a VIP. Easily the best restaurant in Warkworth.

Aldo's was recommended to us, and after visiting for lunch with an old friend I understand why. The food was just beautiful, tasty clean flavours , and fresh. We choose to have a selection of entrees to share and the soup was even separated into 2 bowls without asking. The service was quick and, helpful - with just the right suggestions to complete the meal. To top it off they also make perfect coffee with a amoretto biscuit on the side. All reasonably priced. It would even be worth a day to Warkworth just to come for lunch, and a walk around the village .Thank you for a special lunch.

We visited Aldo's for the first time tonight. We could not fault the quality of the food served, it was excellent. My only comment being, I had the special of the day, and would have liked just a little more pasta with my garlic prawns. Aldo said that in future "no problem" next time you come, just ask for more pasta. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars for service and atmosphere, was that they were training new staff that night, and another party of guests were very loud, and the acoustics there made the evening a little unpleasant. However this was certainly not a fault of the restaurant. If you want a great Italian meal, and not have to mortgage your house, this is the place to go. They have a great choice and selection of wines available for you to choose from. At the end of the meal service we were offered complimentary lemon chello, which was a nice touch. Also they offer excellent coffee. I spoke with Aldo prior to leaving and asked if he would make special meals such as mussells steamed in wine with garlic and tomatoes, he said no problem, just ring ahead and he will organise it. Aldo's is a must visit, and we will be returning.

I can confidently say that Aldo's restaurant is one of the best dining experiences in the Warkworth area. The staff are so warm, welcoming and friendly which truly elevates the atmosphere here. The menu has something everyone can enjoy, and of course- the food is delicious and portioned well. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and makes perfect use of the small interior. I can tell the owners put a-lot of love into this restaurant and the food itself.

The John Dory meal was excellent, the fish was super tender and tasted amazing. The fettuccine was also great, and I'm assured by the others that the various spaghetti dishes were also excellent. Coupled with great atmosphere, this tiny restaurant is highly recommended.

Small place. Very good food and friendly service. The Bolognese sauce was a bit salty but the special pasta was amongst the tastiest that I have had for a while.

Lovely find during a short stop over in Warkworth. The pasts dishes were very tasty and well presented. Great atmosphere in a small Italian restaurant. Limoncello with ice too. 😀

Popped in for a sneaky dinner for one on the way north. Wasn’t overly hungry but have always been interested to try so I ordered the fish of the day. John Dory with lemon and capers. Totally delicious and filled the spot nicely. Washed it down with an excellent Negroni and some light banter with the friendly staff in what is a very cosy little place. Will be back to try more but in the mean time I can definitely recommend Aldo’s

The food (and service) is amazing - the fish of the day was cooked perfectly and the lemon butter sauce was delicious - better than most fine dining restaurants I have eaten at. Would highly recommend- we will be back

I can thoroughly recommend Aldo's. The food is excellent and the service prompt and very friendly. It's a small establishment, so it pays to book. If you can't get a seat, try their takeaways.

Highly recommended. Very good service from staff - including Aldo himself - who're friendly and attentive but not obtrusive. Perfect chicken and mushroom fettuccine. I'll keep coming back.

Our family have enjoyed dining at Aldo's over the last three years. We consider ourselves regulars now and have experienced a consistent excellence in food and service. It is the best Italian food we have had outside Italy. Thank you Aldo and Susan for always ensuring our evening is so enjoyable.

Excellent food with friendly service. The restaurant is very small, which can either add to or detract from your meal depending where you're seated. I'll definitely be back though. .

Food and service was exceptional. We ordered the prawn cocktail and calamari as starters, beautiful flavours. The fish and ravioli main dishes were both of a very high standard. We will be back. Can highly recommend the Limoncello cocktail too. x
