Found this little gem hidden away in Titirangi. Easy walk up and can also drive to the top if you prefer. Loved the view over Auckland!

Me and my mates would drive up to Mt Atkinson occasionally back in my younger days and smoke weed. We thought we were cool and we were. 😎

Cool place. Hadn't been the in decades

This used to be a very good spot that was accessible for most people, with only a short drive from Titirangi shops and an easy walk from the car park to the trig. It used to offer panoramic views to the south, east and west. Now it is so overgrown that it is really not worth the effort. I like trees and bush, but in the right places. With Mount Eden and One Tree Hill now inaccessible to older overseas tourists, it is becoming very difficult to find a high spot that is accessible to them, that is also worthwhile seeing.

Beautiful view out across Auckland on every direction. Limited parking means not to many people there. Shame that done of the trees have grown so large they are obstructing the view but still plenty to see

Walked here from Hillsborough. Most enjoyable.
