I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment with the recent encounters I've had at Point Chevalier medical center. In 52 years I’ve never experienced such negativity, rudeness and unprofessional service at a doctors surgery. You should feel safe in this environment. It really has saddened me to witness the unpleasant and disrespectful behavior of the reception staff. It is my belief that a medical practice should provide a supportive and caring environment for patients. Unfortunately, my experiences have been quite the opposite. The staff's behavior is not only nasty and rude but also completely unprofessional. This kind of behavior should not be tolerated in a place where people seek medical assistance and care. I feel it is now necessary to escalate this matter further to ensure that the issues are addressed appropriately. I will be filing a formal complaint with the local council, as well as exploring the possibility of legal action to hold the medical center accountable for their actions. Such vile behavior and poor service should not be condoned in any professional setting and especially at your Doctors surgery.!!I hope that steps are taken to rectify the situation and improve the overall experience for patients. I have a feeling this won’t happen and It is essential for the medical center to reevaluate their staff's behavior and implement suitable training programs to ensure a more respectful and compassionate environment for everyone. I highly recommend that you DON’T use point Chevalier medical practice unless you really do need medical assistance.

Dr Islam is our family doctor for long years now and he is great. Recently we have been seeing Dr Nair who is a fantastic teacher/doctor! He is not only a great doctor but also a good educator. We all love visiting him. He is such a caring person. Thank you both!

We have been with Pt Chev Medical Center for a number of years. The service from the doctors has always been great. There was a period in the recent past where reception was not up to par but this seems to have been resolved and the small team seem to be working together very well.

Dr Ramesh Nair is awesome! He's Knowledgeable, Efficient, Transparent & works With you to create a treatment plan. The new receptionist is equally as proficient, kind & welcoming. Thank you Point Chevalier Medical Centre.

Legalised robbery!! Do not use this medical centre as a casual patient. I made the mistake of going for ear wax removal and naively didn't ask the price as I have had this procedure done at several places over the years and prices are all usually $50-70. The doctor asked me how I was and what he could do for me. I answered both questions, not realising that this was considered a "consultation" that would cost me $110. They then used the more old fashioned method of the water jet on my ears (rather than the syringe method) which took no longer than three minutes. This cost $35 and so after a total of no more than 10 minutes and a simple procedure, I was charged $145.00. I should have been made aware of these costs when the receptionist confirmed that I was to be treated as a casual patient. It's absolutely outrageous that these practices have become SO greedy. No wonder the place was empty. Obviously I shall not be returning. In answer to the Medical Centre's reply, yes, I was happy with the treatment until I was charged $145. My point is I was NOT told the cost of the treatment prior to it being undertaken. Had I been informed that it was going to cost me that amount of money I would have gone elsewhere. I am writing to express my extreme disappointment and disgust with the customer service I received at your medical practice. Stephanie, in particular, was the worst customer service representative I have ever encountered. Throughout my time there she rolled her eyes at me and other patients and I even heard her swearing at me under her breath. This is completely unacceptable. As a healthcare provider, your staff should be professional and caring towards patients. To make matters worse, when I requestedmy notes, I was dismayed to find that the lies written on them were unfathomable. This is unacceptable and totally illegal. It makes me question the trustworthiness and credibility of your medical practice. Furthermore, the medical practice seems to only have one doctor available, which is concerning. When I made an appointment on a Saturday due to extreme pain and a UTI, they demanded payment before I could even see the doctor and charged me a ridiculous amount of money, claiming it was much higher than the regular price for Saturdays. This is not only misleading but also totally unfair to patients. The doctor I saw, who was one of the owners of the practice, was incredibly rude and lacked any bedside manner. It was so bad that I had to walk out of the appointment. The entire experience was terrible, and I felt that there was no care or compassion at your medical practice. It was all about the money. As someone who suffers from debilitating anxiety, my blood pressure skyrocketed for days leading up to an appointment. It was an awful experience, and I would not recommend this medical practice to anyone. It is apparent that your medical center is solely concerned with cashing in on vulnerable patients without providing the care they need and deserve. In conclusion, I implore you to take the necessary steps to improve your customer service and reevaluate how you treat patients. Anything less would be unacceptable, and I believe it's best for this medical center to be shut down. I am in contact with a medical legal firm in Auckland regarding the lies on my notes. If you read the replies from the medical centre from other patients that have received a similar experience than myself, it says it all!!... The rudeness of the replies are just a joke! I couldn't bieve what I was reading and that a so called "Professional' Establishment" would respond to a review with such anger, rudeness, ignorance, pathetic responses and lies in thier replies to other patients that have also experienced extremely poor service. This place should be SHUT DOWN!

Excellent service and attention from caring doctors and staff of the centre. Always willing to assist. God is very pleased with you. Will definitely continue to uphold you in my prayers daily.

Doctor Islam was the nicest doctor ever. He was very cheerful and kind to my little brother during surgery. Highly recommend him.
