The team here are great, with an awesome classic Irish pub vibe.. However, a slither of effort in the food menu would be great.. Attending with a group of vegans is nothing short of embarrassing. It's 2023, I'd expect more than a bowl of chips and a glass of water on offer.

Came here for dinner with some old friends. We just sat at our table and had our dinner, a couple of drinks and chatted. After a short time they wouldn't serve us anymore and we got accused of flipping off the bartender. It wasn't us, we had barely any drinks and barely interacted with the staff at all. I assume we got confused with someone else. It was a wierd and unpleasant experience. We left and went to another bar with no problems. It was a bit of a downer though. The food was actually really good, the low rating is purely because of how we were treated.

Visited on Sunday night. The food was absolutely amazing. They were very understaffed but they handled their customers very well and they were very apologetic about any delays! Being from Canterbury this was a absolutely awesome pub!

Bouncer has a power trip issue, watched the bouncer push away this teenagers probably 19-20 saying they’re too drunk, looked like they were laughing and having fun with each other and rolled up to try come inside and he was having a complete power trip and started being aggressive and very horrible. Bouncer needs to be fired. Wouldn’t even here them out

Came in for Mussel madness on a Monday, what a cracking deal, $15 for 1kg of mussels, served with fries. The service was amazing, the manager PJ was swept off his feet but still took time to talk to our table. Will definitely be back again, well worth the trip over the bridge

Went tonight with a group of friends who are new to the area. They were excited to try a “potential” new “local”. Unfortunately, not to be. Food is generously portioned and cheerful, and on par with other establishments in the area. But the service, it was like something out of a 90s satire comedy. Had intentions of getting our first of at least a few jugs of beer (between four of us) however, immediately downgraded to a sole pint upon being greeted at the bar by a snippy, miserable-looking bartender, who couldn’t be less interested in patronage if he tried, who, in desperate need of a hospitality 101 crash course, snapped his way through an icy transaction. Left feeling quiiiiiite confident none of us will ever return. Customer service - learn it.

I don't usually write reviews or ever complain but my visit to Florrie's was so disappointing. The place looks amazing and the service at the main bar was excellent, but the food was terrible. If you like pies, don't order theirs because it's not a pie and it tastes awful. When I complained to the waiter, he was rude. I listened in on the quiz night and it was so boring. I don't recommend this place at all It does look good though.

Kids meals were great value at $10 which included food, soft drink and ice cream. We also had bangers and mash, and chicken parmigiana, the latter of which was on special. Food was ok, nice enough for a hearty pub meal. Service was great.

The menu was surprisingly good, lots of really good options for both carnivores and vegetarians. Glad we called in today.

A great location to watch the Champions League final, good value for money breakfast, and a lovely pint of Guinness.

Always sad to see your local go down the drain but thats the case here. They have all new staff, none of which were very friendly, the drinks have all gone up by $3-$4 over the last few months and the pool cues have all been broken for a while now. The pub it once was is a distant memory, disappointing.

Quite disappointed with our visit today, glad we first tabled our meal because if I paid full price I would of been rarked up. Ribs looked and tasted like they just got whipped out of a vat of boiling water with bbq sauce thrown on the top, scotch steak was definitely not worth full price. Tomato sauce bottle was extremely bloated which isn’t a good sign and exploded when opened. Really like florries but this experience has kind of put me off

We went for our 12th wedding anniversary celebration on 6th Oct ( I m writing this just after it happened). Ordered southern fried chicken and chicken burger. Both were too too salty, could not eat at all. Informed the staff. Nothing happened. What a bad experience we had there. The band was really good though.

A little disappointed it it wasn’t a first table booking I would have begrudged paying full price for the meals we had, the pork ribs were very tough and looked like they were boiled not barbecue or grilled two of our friends pork lovers both dissatisfied. Irish Stew poor version of this dish Portions were generous I noticed the Sunday roast special $16 but a very small portion. Staff very friendly and helpful we were there 5.30pm only one person serving just to much for him but he done his best. Pub very tired but pretty normal for some Irish Pubs would not go back.

Went here to shout my nan a nice meal before she goes home. Traveled from otherwise of Auckland for a treat day as well and we were not disappointed. The staff so friendly,locals at the bar/ restaurant as well and the food was amazing, it was a great lunch. The prices especially for Auckland beach suburb are very affordable. We got a variety of meals and they were all well presented, tasted great with good portions. The kids meal we got was real crumbled chicken breast cut into.fingers with chips which is well above usual pub fare standard. Definitely will be back and definitely recommend to anyone wanting a nice wholesome meal out. They do daily specials as well plus live music Thursday, Friday and Saturday for those who want a night out.

Drinks and service were good. Food was very average. The pizza was a generous portion and had lots of toppings, but it didn’t taste any better than the frozen pizzas we get back in Canada.

Went to hops and claret. Was quiet, ran out of one option. I will say though they go above and beyond to accommodate bookings. Would 100% support based on fact they truly seem to value their bookings.

We wanted to sit outside but there were so many flies. So we went inside which was fine. I had the fish and chips but the fish piece was small and overcooked. Good ambience inside although a bit quiet when we went there. Great barman, served us with a smile and a lovely accent if you want the real deal.

Plain food for 26$ a main very small potion & very unfrienfly attitude from one of the bar man just because we used voucher! Just because we used voucher didn't mean that we are stupid! If you don't like people paying with voucher? DON'T HAVE VOUCHER!!😒 NOT a happy experience! Won't come back again! Do not recommend!☹️☹️

Great beer selection always a good atmosphere and multi zones to find a drinking spot. A great place to watch a big game with screens everywhere and a pool table too.

Nice and friendly. How ever food was the worst I have had at any eatery my steak I asked for medium rare was very well done and dry and tough. Not sure if that was because the guy taking the orders didn't write anything down or the chef doesn't know how to cook steak. Very underwhelming

Totally scrumptious, stunner of a seafood chowder. A center stack with flaked smoked fish, king prawn, topped w/shaved smoked salmon. Toasted ciabbatti bread to dunk if you desire. Then to share: Crispy crumbed squid w/tangy dip, and a 1 kg Mussels, in a tangy Thai coconut sauce w/basket of chips. Yum! Yummy! 😋 😍 Remember to de-beard the mussels! The ambience of the decor was most welcoming, with all things Irish memorabilia. Our lone host/server was super cordial and friendly. Pub grub has certainly come a long way! Big ups to the chef and crew too. Highly recommended👌👍 👏 even had a roaring fire, to keep those dining outside, toasty warm 😀

Just had dinner with my family celebrating Father's Day...Food was 👌👌😋😋 delicious. We were supposed to have dessert but we ordered as takeaway instead....thank you team for an amazing meal ♥️... we'll be back with more people next time.

Went for a quiet dinner and a drink on a Wednesday night and was very happy with the service and our food. I had the beef sausages, gravy and colcannon and my partner had the chicken curry. Sadly out of Kilkenny and Murphy's red seems to be no longer sold in NZ but a Murphy's Stout or three was great! A great atmosphere and will definitely return again.

Under new management apparently, popped in last night looking forward to a late night snack, our usual on nights out when returning home, buffalo wings and beer batter fries, we would normally order it to go and have a beer while we wait, unfortunately the new manager advised in a rather condescending tone that if food is ordered, it will have to be consumed on the premises, apparently he’s never seen take away containers at the establishment since he started and felt that “food to go” was against policy, how ridiculous, seems he just didn’t want to serve us food, he then went on to contradict himself and say that food is available to go up until 9pm through Uber eats, I suppose takeaway containers magically disappear and policy regarding food leaving the premises immediately changes at 9:01pm, hahaha, oh and most alcohol on tap was not available, not even Guinness ..... nevertheless, there were two other people behind the bar who served us a few drinks, a young man and woman, they were extremely friendly and pleasant, unfortunately the 1 star is to highlight the poor attitude of the manager

This place really gives you the classic bar vibes with its great asthetics and design that has been put inside the bar. Highly recommend to go have a beer at night.

Atmosphere was friendly enough but given how quiet it was service was slow and the food took a very long time to come out. When the food did come we expected more in terms of quality given location but it was ok.

Service was okay, nothing great nothing bad. The "skins" it's basically wedges, by the time they came out it was barely warm and everything was fused together from melted cheese cooling off. The ribs is a very small serving that comes with salad chips and onion rings, tasted pretty bland and I can't say it was good. Lemon and salted squid was very salty and I'm someone that likes salty food. Steak was okay, nothing special but just okay. Small selection of beer, unimaginative selection of both drinks and food. The inner seating area is quite dark and the long wooden seats are too far from the table, my shoulders started grub stiff from leaning in at a much greater angle than normal.

Drinks & food very nice, service from bar staff exceptional, pub ambiance very cool, but charging a surcharge for using your credit card is outrageous these days!. A lot of people use credit cards because of the points system & I dont know if this is just a Takapuna thing but the Regatta in Takapuna also charges a surcharge & I won't be going back to either of these places. Why dont you just not accept credit cards if you want the customer to pay for the privilege.

The bar manager was on his phone charged me for the wrong drink was rude and argent. Not impressed been a local here for 10 years.

There was a 'regular' in there when my friends and i went to this place for the first time, as were odering drinks we notice this regular laughing with the bar staff, all friendly etc anyway a few hours go by, we go into the pokies and go sit on a machine (that isnt reserved, we havent seen anyone on it since we have entered and there was no remaining money or spins on it? So we chucked a 20 in it (i dont play pokies ever) 5 minutes later, this regular comes running at us saying thats my machine (after we started to win, but she never mentioned anything while we were spending and losing). She is yelling and swearing and being abusive, so i called for the staffs help and they ran in and said "get off her machine" and didnt ecen let us explain, and wouldnt let us get out money oit, then when i got my camera out and start filming, the staff say we cant record and have to leave , then the regular snatches my phone from my hand and throws it away, i have this all on video... the staff were on this regulars side as they knew her well, but we were paying customers who did nothing wrong and got abused and offered no help and asked to leave with out even hearing our side, and we never made a scene where as this lady was screaming. Ive made a police report.
